BEFORE: "Hype," Kate shrugs, dismissing her foe with a single word. "Typical American hype: Megan Fox will be exposed as the little tramp she is when we meet. Can anyone doubt that I am superior in every aspect to her? The fight is a foregone conclusion - the only question is: in which round will she quit?" Megan unperturbed - ingenue showing a lot of poise leading up to a big A-list show down. "Beating Kate is a long term must-do for me," Megan admits. "She's the kind of high-profile actress I want to be hunting down and defeating - Beckinsale, Alba, Kate Hudson - all these girls are in trouble. Can't wait to get in there and get 'er done!" Fox in green bikini top/pink bottoms; white gloves. Becks in black bikini top, zebra print bottoms; white gloves.

R1: Girls meet mid-ring, Beckinsale quickly establishing the high jab, peppering away at Fox from a distance, testing Fox’s defense up top. Kate shuffles inside, leading a pokey right hand, then testing Megan’s body with left hooks. Fox proving resilient as she withstands Beckinsale’s opening salvo. Fox forced to cover up, circles and absorbs, but Beckinsale too fast, not allowing her to land anything better then stray punches. Kate testing Fox’s chin early, hammering hard hooks through a shoddy guard. Not much of a showing by Fox as she sacrifices a round to feel out her bigger opponent.

R2: Kate aggressively storms forward hoping to cripple Megan to the body. Heated exchange as both girls mindlessly plow hooks through slipshod guards. Second minute- Beckinsale takes a hard jab to the nose forcing her to step back, throwing her out of her rhythm. Kate seething, throwing a series of awkward off-angle shots, easily blocked by Megan. Fox capitalizing, landing on the inside, forcing Beckinsale to cover up and weave. Cat and mouse as Fox is forced to continue jabbing away, protecting herself from Beckinsale’s power. Bell : Girls exchanging body shots at the ropes, Fox getting the better of Beckinsale, forcing her to cover up high while pounding her flanks and belly. Beckinsale fuming on her stool, ashamed that she let one get away.

R3: Fox off her stool with vigour, hoping to maintain momentum from the previous round. Ladies meet mid ring exchanging jabs and hooks, Beckinsale the busier of the two, landing often and freely to Fox’s forehead. Megan desperately poking away with the jab trying to avoid Kate’s power. Beckinsale fuming, covering up and circling, occasionally countering Fox jabs with blistering shots of her own. Kate leans in and lands a brutal cross to Megan’s scalp, FOX IS CUT AND STUNNED! Megan now contending with a cut above the eye, retreats to the outside. Beckinsale smells blood, circling, making her way to the inside as Fox retreats to the turnbuckles. Final minute- Kate pounding away at Megan on the inside, rocking her with compact rights to the body and pumping lefts to her battered head. Fox covering up high, sacrificing her body, crying out with each thudding shot. Bell : Beckinsale all smiles on her stool, Fox crying out as trainers work on the first cut of ingenue's entire career.

R4: Megan slow out of her corner, opts to maintain a peek-a-boo guard trying to catch her breath as Kate storms forward. Beckinsale pounding away at Fox’s exposed belly, hammering her with punishing hooks to the ribs. Megan backing away, trying to re-establish her outside game, poking at Kate with don’t hurt me jabs. Beckinsale getting angry, begins to weave around Fox offerings and counter with jabs of her own. Fox losing ground, unable to counter Kate’s power or speed. Fox listing, barely holding on, swaying with the punches as Kate blazes away forehead and belly. Megan instinctively tries to clinch only to be bodied into ropes and peppered with thudding blows to the body. Kate grinning cruelly, clubbing Fox above the eye, further diminishing her sight and ability to counter. Bell : Kate plows insurance hooks to Megan’s jaw and jugs, sending Fox stumbling into her corner. Ref warns Beckinsale for late blows. Kate mouth breathing hard, frustrated, trying to figure out how to put her girl down. 10-8 Beckinsale without a knockdown.

R5: Fox staggering off her stool...ringsiders shouting for fight to be stopped... Kate heartless, letting Megan stumble forward, lobbing high haymakers in desperation. Beckinsale laughing, batting away Fox’s weak offerings and tapping her with light playful jabs. Second minute- Beckinsale’s getting bored of playing with Fox… Kate closes the distance and ruthlessly pounds Megan on the inside, punishing her with hooks to her firm abs and flanks. Fox trying to weave but ineffective, taking tremendous punishment. Megan scowling, nearly out on her feet, desperately trying to make the bell. HARD CROSS BECKINSALE! Picturesque blow sends Fox’s head snapping back, sickeningly close to a jack-in-the-box. Megan’s hands list at her side as she stoops forward, Kate mouthbreathing, tiring from this utter beating, launches a flurry of hooks to the head and body crippling fox, MEGAN’S PARALYZED! Fox sobbing aloud, unable to raise her mitts in defense. Beckinsale lands a hard hook to the jugs, Fox mumbling, wincing in pain, leaning into the ropes. Beckinsale plants her right foot, leaning back for a cruel finishing blow…. Ref has seen enough, bodies a seething Beckinsale off, cradling a sinking broken Fox. TKO5 in heartbreaking fashion Kate Beckinsale!

After: "As promised," a breezy Kate grins in postfight. "I popped a bubble tonight, deflated a stuffed-bra - nothing more. Megan Fox is a pretty seat-filler, a temporary phenomenon: beating her this summer was essential to get the most out of her. I've done that, now I'll move on. If I've done permanent damage to her career with this beating...so much the better!"
