Theron trainer Janet Jones telling press, "We have a perfect Peta-beating fight plan in place - all Charlize has to do is follow it." But Theron more interested in discussing the most recent collapse of her Cat Bell negotiations, "Bell wanted to wear that awful white bikini of hers - can you believe it? I wear the white bikini - that's understood - so she just put that on the table to get out of the fight." But what about the title defence - Peta? "Oh, Janet's got it scripted out - Wilson's a stay-busy, I'll take care of her, don't you worry. Where was I?"

Wilson no joke at welter - most girls would be completely focused on her challenge, but Theron's driven by a different drum beat.

Charlize in tight black camisol tank and panties, Peta in white bra style sport bikini. Hey, wasn't that supposed to be a deal-breaker?

Rds 1-2: Prefight nonchalance might have been an act - Theron out sharp, following the plan, boxing Peta's socks off these rounds. Nice sticking jabs have Wilson staring, reacting - Charlize gliding in either direction, rotating her hands, showing Peta either shoulder as she steps into her stances - pretty ring generalship. Not much power - Peta reacting with disdain at points, waving Charlize in, taunting her to stand and fight.

Rd 3: Wilson gets on board, walking through the Theron jab, hurling hard right hands to the pit of the stomach, bodying up and stampeding Charlize to the ropes. Champ straining to reverse position on Peta, but Wilson stacks her up, keeps her pinned and goes to work on that sleek torso of Theron's. Bludgeoning chop-chop - Wilson palming shoulders to expose the meat - digging underhand to gut, hacking into the chest with more of an overhand mauling churn - she's got Theron shipping. Bell to bell Wilson has her cooing taunts - Charlize flushed, outraged at the treatment.

Rd 4: Wilson won't be denied - storming pressure breaks down Charlize' jab early, booming right hand body shots cramp the champ up and Wilson packs her girl into ropes to start the pounding. Glorious, hamhanded work being done - Theron trying to cover up and stay low, but Wilson's shoving and jostling her roughly, opening her up, scrubbing puppy and brutalizing tummy with lusty lefts and rights. Midway through - CHARLIZE TAKES A KNEE! Ashen faced grimace on the champ's face as she relieves the pressure, takes a veteran 8 - consistent torso barrage taking it's toll early. Grinning Peta wades in all big girl - cleaning up with constant roughhouse, palming shoulders, getting her body on, and digging out Theron's trembling belly at every opportunity. Peta sends Charlize straggling to her corner with an insolent rump-slap - Wilson's the boss through 4.

Rd 5: Charlize back on her bicycle, re-dedicating herself to the plan. Theron in constant motion, gliding, dancing, flicking out the jab and scuffing Peta up around the brows and mouth. Theron starting to drop the odd right hand - usually screened by a jab or set up with a little step-feint to the right - Wilson disdainful of the champ's power, eager to gobble to get her own chances. Breezy shutout Charlize as she rights the ship.

Rd 6: Peta not having it - she brazenly jabs with Charlize in the first minute, pounding back the champ's surprised face at range, then wades in, reaches under the arms and walks Theron into the ropes. Charlize astonished at the strength - she's being pushed around like a shopping cart tonight and doesn't like it. Theron hunkering down, getting shoulder to shoulder with Peta and two way slugfest erupts as girls trade near the KruZher corner. Not what Jones wants to see, but Theron digs in to get her respect - girls clout away on each other with clipped shots - all shoulder, leg behind the blows. Chins are tested, bodies chopped, shoulder-bumps employed - good bruising work to the bell as Charlize stands her ground.

Rd 7: Theron talking it up now - she's back to boxing, circling majestically, flicking the jab from her waist - Peta's following, lumping up. Wilson looking a little discouraged - banging trade of the 6th not decisive as Charlize fought Peta's fight straight up, but when the girls range the ring, it's all Theron. Charlize utilizing a looping right hand to the body off the jab or feint - freezing Peta, then welting hip the round punch, stepping away to regroup. Wilson soaks up the shutout, flexing and stretching out her side at the bell - good hard body shots from Theron this round.

Rd 8: Wilson on the prowl, trying to close - she's got Charlize in retreat, but Theron able to fight going backwards - it's maddening. Theron picking her spots, setting up those potshot, wide right hands to the body, then skipping away - Peta lowering her elbows to protect as she cuts down the ring. Midway through - Charlize starts the right bodyshot, but suddenly turns into a tight, tight hook on the ear - PETA'S SHOOK! Wilson caught by surprise, bamboozled by crafty Charlize right hands low and away - challenger staggers to her left on borrowed legs. Charlize hungry for slaughter - crouching in low, jabbing, swaying side to side, then leaping up and in close with a clanging hook, smacking the mouth piece off Peta's teeth, falling in chest to chest to smother the receipt. Theron pushes off, gets her room and LETS HER HANDS GO! Awful, shredding action as Charlize sets her hips and goes about the furious work of lathering Peta out. Heartsick Wilson ragdoll, guard stupid and limp at her mouth - she's getting shellacked, can't stop it and THE REF STEPS IN! Charlize leaps away with girlish glee - TKO8 for the winner and STILL Welterweight champ, Charlize Theron.

After: Theron sliding out of the ring, gets after the ring card girls, scattering them, pushing one down and taking the '8' card from her, then slides back in for a postfight romp. Snivelling Wilson forced to parade the ring, holding the 8 card above her head, reduced to shabby ringcard girl status as a churlish Charlize marches from behind, occasionally prodding her girl in the back. Theron boxing smart tonight, handling the pressure despite some dicey midround moments - she polishes up a dangerous contender and looks to be building a fortress at sub140.
