Connelly in control - important sequence down the stretch: JC fading Garth's jab, stepping back then turning on a slick screened right, catching JG flush on the jaw. Connelly bending right to pull her hook across Garth's chops - nifting, swinging combination has blonde stumble-bumming back into the ropes. Connelly jabbing to get Garth's guard up, stepping right to hook her belly, hook her belly - Garth groaning forward, really locking up. Connelly steps left, gets an angle on Garth's right flank and back - Jenny C CRANKING hooks at the offered side, splashing punches in behind Garth's elbow and JENNIE G TAKES A KNEE! Garth snivelling, choking back tears - she gets achy to her feet at the bell as Connelly gives a frosty once-over.

R2: Connelly aggressively forward now - jabbing to Garth's chest, hooking off the stick, backing blonde to the ropes. Nice in and out bouncy from Jenny C as she evades Garth's panicky counters - JC slapping the hook to ear, setting down on rifling right hands, really bending into the shots. Connelly in a rhythm, stepping into right hands, NAILING Garth on the teeth over and over and GARTH GOES LIMP! Jennie suddenly out, hands dropping to her lap as she sags sideways into the ropes, hanging there vulnerable. Connelly pulls up, shows her class - Garth's out on her feet and defenceless - Jenny C prompts the ref to move in. TKO2 Jenny Connelly - Garth utterly dismantled.

After: There's no consoling Jennie Garth. Being stopped by Connelly's bad enough - shown mercy by a clearly superior Connelly is appalling. Dazed, wounded Garth tries to get at Connelly as officials hold her back - Jenny C shaking her head in sympathy (or condescension, so hard to tell the difference) as she takes everything away from her one-time rival. Much improved right hands, better upperbody defence, better footwork - Connelly's really rounding into form.
