Charlize Theron vs. Gena Lee Nolin (XI) Reebok Welter titles 27-May-00

Charlize facing a different, more complete Nolin than the raw brawler she's dominated over the last few fights. Gena Lee arguably the hottest celeb fighter in the game right now, with a nice left hook, (albeit low on the delivery), to go with that dangerous overhand right - throw in a little movement and body punching with the cheap practices and Theron has an honest challenge in front of her. No love lost between these two: they've seen too much of one another, with the danger that hurting the opponent has replaced winning as the main object of the fighting. Yellow bikini, black mesh to a high neck for Gena; white bikini with a high neck top for Charlize.

Round 1: Dangerous pace set early as the girls dart in on one another trying to land right hands. Wide open action favors Gena and midway through the round she catches Charlize off a missed Theron right, snapping the big blonde's head with a crisp right hand on the jaw SITS CHARLIZE DOWN and the crowd roars. Gena finishing strong in the final minute, strays low with the left to get her girl leaning forward, then bounces a few more mean rights off a glassy eyed Theron's jaw at the bell.

Round 2: All Charlize as she comes back slick, getting a tongue lashing in the corner and respecting it. Nolin's legs can't keep pace as Theron steps to her left, pounding out the jab, stepping in with right hands, backing off behind the hook. Shutout Theron.

Round 3: Charlize starting fast, goes to Nolin's tummy with jabs, bending at the waist to reach into Nolin's gut, then straightening to nearly floor Gena with a hook on the jaw with Nolin defending her belly. Gena not reacting well to Theron's pressure - Charlize mixing it up to the body and head, getting off first, using that good lateral movement to make Gena react rather than dictate. Another shutout round for Theron.

Round 4: Charlize simply outclassing her opponent, banging back Nolin's head at will with the long jab, bouncing around her foe on her toes, setting down on sharp right crosses which have Nolin backing off in obvious discomfort. Charlize going to the chest with straight right hands - Gena grimacing as the punches ricochet off her tight gut, in full retreat, still not wanting to punch with Charlize as Theron posts her third straight shutout round.

Round 5: Gena grappling, slowing the action in the first minute as she ties Charlize up and looks to work down low, but Theron won't have it. Backing Nolin off with hard left and right uppercuts inside, Theron catches Gena moving straight back with a cracking hook on the temple - and NOLIN'S LEGS GO RUBBERY. Gena in trouble, wobbling in wild retreat around the ring finds her back to the ropes in the final minute with a grimly determined Charlize bearing down. Theron goes to her foe's sides with baseball bat lefts and rights as Gena sponges it up, then spanks a digging a right hand off Nolin's stomach - DOWN GOES GENA! Nolin on her hands and knees but Theron won't back off - prolonging the count. Round ends before Theron can finish and Gena's corner goes to work.

Round 6: Signs of maturity from Nolin - she sucks it up and comes out reading Theron like a book, anticipating the jab and timing a beautiful right hand over top to crack back the big blonde's head. CHARLIZE IS HURT! Theron suddenly wobbly butt, gloves at her lips, squares up as Nolin whips lefts and rights in from the side to her back the length of the ring. Nolin working Charlize to the corners, TURNING HER HIPS INTO WIDE RIGHT HANDS TO BREASTS AND BELLY HAVE CHARLIZE GROANING, bending forward. Solid shutout round with power as Nolin works her girl around the perimeter, capping off a good round with a clean right hand on the mouth after the bell. Both girls restrained from extracurricular's as seconds flood the ring.

Round 7: Bitter two way action - Nolin swelling around the eyes, Theron looking puffy on the left side of her face, both starting to leave themselves open as they stick their punches in and take a picture. Long arms licking at toned bodies, the girls step around each other, digging into the torso, clubbing at the jaw, lunging in and out as the connect percentage for both starts to rise. Nolin likes the raucous give and take, winning a close round and emerging cockily at the bell as Theron looks a little worse for wear.

Round 8: All Gena Lee! She rips WHIP ACTION LEFT HANDS ACROSS CHARLIZE' BREASTS, FREEZING THE BIG BLONDE in place and taking her long legs out of the fight. Nolin backing her girl up, slinging lefts to the body, winging rights around Charlize guard as Theron's gloves creep up to her eyebrows as she tucks her elbows in to protect her chest. Gena finishing with a withering two fisted beating of Charlize along the ropes - Theron not firing back, and again the recipient of a late right hand on the chops after the conclusion of this round.

Round 9: Charlize Theron stands toe to toe and breaks Gena Lee Nolin's will this round, trading lanky-limbed blows to the body until Nolin crumples, rendered helpless by the assault on her midsection. Gena Lee battered around the ring as Charlize heartlessly bodies up, using the left shoulder and forearm to nudge Nolin back, turning her body into whistling right hands. Nolin coming up cut in the mouth, finishes the round with her elbows in, gloves at her face, just taking punches as Theron punishes her to the bell.

Round 10: Charlize Theron stamps Gena Lee with a series of jabs, drawing the looping right hand off Nolin's cheek and leaving her vulnerable to well-timed left hook counters from Charlize. Theron stepping in and out, easily the fresher fighter and the hooks pile up on Gena's jaw as she begins to look ragged. By the midway point, it's clear Theron is going for the knockout, hunting Gena down, battering her with crashing lefts and rights, then following as Nolin bails and looks for open space. In the final minute, Theron pounds Nolin to a corner with a series of hard right hands to the stomach and Gena Lee covers up. Theron on wide legs pours it on, bending her body into clubbing right uppercuts which soon break down Nolin's guard and she is helpless against the turnbuckles. A flurry of lefts and rights have Nolin swooning and her mouthpiece slips off her teeth - she's ready to go. Theron punishing her girl, digging left hands to Gena's shiny ribs, bending into slinging rights on the jaw, but Nolin showing heart won't go down. A dazed Gena Lee doesn't hear the bell, beaten into a stupor by a vengeful Theron. UD Theron.

In a surprise move once the decision is announced, Charlize puts her right hand around Gena's waist and leads her around the ring in a shocking walk of shame. Nolin battered, dazed stumbles around as Theron tugs her around the ring, displaying the beaten vixen in an unusually humiliating fashion for Charlize. When asked about the decision afterwards, Theron replies, "She would've done it to me." Only too true
