Before: "I've got nothing but respect for Eva," says an earnest Hayden P in prefight. "She's wily, she's fierce, and I've never seen her quit in a fight. That said, she's built pretty light, and I love to fight those kind of girls - just grind right into 'em and bust 'em up. I know Longoria won't stand for that, so I'm expecting a hell of a fight. Most girls with her body type are runners, but Eva's a scrapper: she'll make me earn everything I take from her." Longoria equally respectful of young Hayden at the podium. "Kate and I have something to prove to Sarah and Hayden," Longoria says. "We're a pretty good flyweight tandem too, and we want to get out of the small-girl phase of this series up 2-0 on Foxfire. If we do that, I'd say we have the series won - because their big girls can't stand against ours. Hayden may think she can punch right through me, but I invite her to try. We get into that kind of slugging, and I guarantee you I will give every bit as good as I get." Hayden in red/white horizontal striped bikini; small white work-out gloves. Longoria in tan western motif bikini; black gloves.

During R1: Longoria closes with Hayden, punches-with. Shoulder to shoulder - girls bumping, getting off tidy - both keeping elbows in, chins tucked, hands up, heads moving. Longoria very nifty in close confines: tilting to her left to tuck the left hook in behind Hayden's right elbow; scraping Hayden's face the tight right uppercut off the right foot; doubling up the short left uppercut (chin) with left hooks to ribs. Hayden huffing and puffing, chugging away: she's jamming palm-down punches into Eva's torsos, applying bludgeoning force. Longoria able to stand her ground, edging her left shoulder into Hayden's chest for good position inside: brunette outworks hardworking blonde for scrappy points.

R2: Hayden all warmed up: when Eva presses inside, Panettiere turns tables this round. Hayden punching her way forward now - bumping Longoria off stance, hacking and chopping at her. Hayden's under-rated stubby jab knocking at Eva's face, startling her, setting her up for blunt-force follow up as Panny pursues. Latter half the round sees Eva use her legs, open up the canvas a bit - Hayden brazenly forward as Longoria vacates canvas.

R3: Longoria back at it - determined to beat Hayden at her own game. Girls shoulder to shoulder, scrubbng away in turns, each bobbing her head well and covering up earmuff when necessary. Longoria fetching Hayden pretty little bobbing uppercuts - both hands: Panettiere taking a good shot as Eva checks chin. Eva scoring, then sidestepping - staying in close quarters, but sliding off either Hayden shoulder to turn her. Veteran in-fighter showing stocky blonde a few tricks, blunting Hayden's strength advantage while sampling blonde ribs, tummy, flank and chin,.

R4: More classy Longoria - in and out. Outside - Eva's potting the jab, stepping back, luring Hayden in. Inside, Eva unafraid to bump shoulders and scrape-with: both girls hunched forward, staying compact, snatching away hooks and uppercuts in close. Punches adding up on Hayden - her face is shiny, ribs pink: Eva's being very, very busy and effective through 4 blistering heats.

R5: Longoria in a bit of a groove on Hayden. Eva able to jab Panny into compliance, then swing rangy tic-toc right/lefts at her tummy. Longoria pivoting left, keeping the jab in Hayden's face - Panettiere frustrated - getting picked off and pre-empted when she wants to come forward. Eva all wiry-supple - easing to her front (left) foot to tuck hooks in behind Hayden's elbow; easing to back foot to pull hooks across up top, or load up the licking right uppercut. Hayden gritting her teeth, trying to step through it, but she's being nicely sidestepped, then picked apart through 5.

R6: Hayden up-tempos: her gameplan calls for a second half surge against older brunette. Eva unable to pick Hayden up on the way in - blonde scooting in and engaging toe-to-toe, forcing reckless brawls on Longoria. Eva getting thumped head and body, stepping away to regroup - but Hayden's pursuit too rapid. Bouncy little blonde keeps scuttling forward, then working to jam leather into supple latina body. Longoria hounded round the ring, pounded to the torso; clubbed and cuffed about the head as Panettiere retakes initiative in the sixth.

R7: More Hayden. Panettiere hurtling into Eva, forcing her to fight: Longoria grimacing, crouching down and digging uppercut/hook combos in reprisal, but she can't hold canvas. Hayden able to force Eva to ropes by the midway point and keep her there: desperate ring-apron fighting ensues as Longoria brawls to keep from being smothered. Panettiere ripped to the chin and body as Eva's uppercuts remain sharp - but Hayden too strong on top. Bashing blonde punches take a terrible toll on 30 something chassis - sending Eva to her corner mouth wide open and panting.

R8: Longoria desperate to back Hayden off, RIPPING her that succulent right uppercut off the back (right) foot - picking Hayden up huge. Panny walking through it - jamming out straight, palm-down punches on approach: she's simply pounding Eva to ropes. Fight tumbles along the apron as Eva flurries, then is beaten down into the cables again and again. Midway through, FURIOUS Longoria left uppercut jerks Hayden to her left; Eva steps off the ropes snarling, swinging away at Panettiere's head. Crazy slugging match results - both girls kissing leather off beautiful faces when EVA GOES DOWN! Short, blunt right hand stuns Longoria, drops her to her butt at ropes. Hayden seething, baring her teeth as ref pushes her back: she's cut at the hairline, but totally lost in mindless slugger's fury.

R9: Longoria mouthbreathing, haggard - she drifts Hayden an intercept right cross as Panny's charging forward: Hayden plows through it, tackling Eva into HMK corner. Panettiere squirming, stocky legs stamping, driving her weight up into Eva. Longoria groaning, writhing to get out from under: blonde tucking in the odd body shot, or clubbing blow up top while stacking Eva up. Longoria visibly drained under Hayden's famous digging grind: Panny on top, legs stamping, buttocks ringing, arms and shoulders constantly pushing and wriggling - it's ugly, but brutally effective in wearing down slender brunette comp.

R10: Longoria all but spent: she digs down, proves her mettle. Eva meeting Hayden midring, punching with renewed vigour. Panny eating and early right uppercut and unable to immediately answer: Eva actually able to come forward, working Hayden with the left uppercut (chin)/left hook (midsection) combo inside. Ropes: It's HAYDEN'S back that touches - Eva lowering her head and pumping furiously at stubborn blonde tummy meat in celebration. Groaning Hayden able to tie up, turn Eva into ropes, but Longoria denies the smother with a pair of feisty right uppercuts, scraped against Hayden's chin. Hayden able to establish late, pushing Longoria into ropes - but Eva slugging her little heart out, continues to pick Hayden up in her ribs and chin, outslugging blonde dynamo to take the 10th. Comes back 5 hardworking rounds a piece, with Hayden's knockdown the difference-maker.

After: Hayden hugging a shell-shocked Longoria in the aftermath before rushing to join the Foxfire jamboree: Eva all banged up and clearly exhausted, but giving young Hayden all she could want through 10. Panettiere mobbed by excited Foxfire fighters who hug and jump around in a circle. Foxfire 110 pounders trounce their HMK counterparts to post a 2-0 lead in the series. HMK veterans poised, but casting baleful looks at the gaudy in-ring celebrations of their youthful opposition. Some of that enthusiasm is starting to wear awful thin on Heather's girls.
