Before: Margolis accepting a big challenge, looking almost scrawny against the brunette powerhouse at weight-in. Both girls come into the bout on a roll - winner can pretty much decide her own fate in a jam packed division. Cindy in pink bikini, Ali in 98 Degrees bikini.

During R1-2: Ali takes the first, Cindy the second in close, often bitter action at power punching range. Landry coming forward behind that tree trunk jab, shakes Margolis with rib-rattling strokes to the sides, working her way up the torso to bounce Cindy’s pretty blonde head with clubbing one-twos. Cindy responds with excellent lateral movement, a smoke screen of slapping blows, but often setting down on the final right hand in any sequence to turn Ali’s head with authority. Neither girl shy about punching to the breasts in an effort to break each other’s will.

R3: Cindy with her best round, her legs dictating the pace and making athletic Landry look almost sloppy in pursuit. Wheels come off late though: Cindy with a sharp right cross, stops to admire her work and takes a clouting left hook across the mouth in return. Margolis dropped to her backside, and she gets up wobbly. Landry with a burst, lifting thudding lefts and rights into Margolis’ rib cage has the blonde cringing in pain and stumbling in retreat. Merciless clubbing to the body proves too much-Cindy takes a knee at the bell with eyes brimming.

R4: Margolis shakes off the pounding, feeds Ali a strict diet of jabs as she steers the big brunette around the ring, Landry walking through it, showing no respect for Margolis punching power, but chopping right hand midway through lifts Landry’s lead leg off the canvas and the brunette looks stunned. Cindy stepping back, walking Ali into punches - short lefts and rights to the ears and jaw as Landry staggers forward. Ali pitching face first past Margolis to the ropes, turns with her gloves down and Cindy catcher her a perfect right hand on the point of the chin. LANDRY GOES OUT! Stunning blow she never saw leaves Ali helpless - Margolis pounding away at her defenceless foe succeeds in beating Landry to her knees before ref finally steps in KO4 Cindy Margolis!

After: Margolis recording a sensational upset leaves Ali facing a disturbing trend: questionable performances against tall blonde opposition - Nolin, Theron, and now Margolis all getting through. Cockiness played its part as Landry refused to adjust to Margolis’ firm right hand and the flush connects from the wiry blonde added up. Margolis’ biggest win to date sets her up nicely for the big payday of her choosing.
