Lake a little star-struck in prefight conferences - handlers quickly concluding that she should read off prepared statements to prevent her from freezing at the podium. Charlize sashaying in late, schmoozing with press - she has nicknames for most of the regulars: Theron deliberately weilding the full weight of her celebrity like a sledgehammer to shake Bell's confidence at the get go.

Round 1: CT out lanky - loping to spots, feinting to test Lake's jitters, changing directions early, then slowly settling down to get work done. Theron setting up with right foot well back, both hands up, palms out - she's being first with a spitting jab into Lake's guard, then leaning in to lick a HEAVY right hand to Bell's ribs beneath the jugline. Lake grunting - lips tight, eyes frowning - looking to answer back - but there's that jab punching her in the face, disrupting her attack. Charlize straps home a lanky hook - leaning in to whiplash it straight-arm to Bell's right flank, then doubling it off the front (left) foot into a junior left uppercut to Bell's healthy rack. CT disengaging, casually jabbing into Lake's guard to freeze her, then stepping right - forcing Lake to move her feet, once again pre-empting Bell's punching. That's the pattern - CT with initiative via the jab, using said initiative to access Bell's sturdy body with rich, shellacking whacks, then showing educated footwork to minimize Bell's opportunities. Lake's body very strong, bearing up well - but she absorbs a tremendous amount of punishment at very little cost to Theron - CT just lashing away, enjoying Lake in a one-sided first.

Round 2: Charlize playful off her stool - arms loose - she'll bat her mitts together all bandy-armed and lope to spots, looking Lake over. Bell stiff, frowning with concern - dukes collected at her chin as she tries to walk Charlize down. CT feinting at Lake's midsection - drawing cringe - then Theron's slapping hooks to Bell's cheek; balling up her right fist and chop-dropping it onto Bell's face. CT's delivery so lanky, her fists follow through to her stomach - she's trusting her legs to get her out of harm's way with her hands down. Charlize easy-pivoting right, away from Lake's right hand - Bell not handling lateral movement well - unable to cut the ring off and bring guns to bear. Theron stoops, backhand-flicks her jab to Bell's tummy just to touch her, then straps the hook wide-n'-limber upside Lake's head, THEN backhand-flicks the jab at Lake's head to foil the pursuit. Final minute - Charlize just painting Lake in bold shades of shellack - Theron loping around, leaning in and dragging huge, lariat-style rights and lefts onto her foe with a slinging, beefy heft. Poor Lake totally bamboozled - doing little more than facing into blows covered up best she can be - she opens up to slug late and takes a concussive, looping right hand hard to her jaw. Head swivel, Lake Bell - she's swaying in stupor, eyes suddenly glassy, hands drooping. Strong legs hold Lake up long enough for her to receive a vicious, torquing hook onna chops from Charlize - Theron fully extending on the punch, twisting her hips and torso through the motion to toggle-switch Bell's head with sickening authority. Bell out immediately - torso slumping forward even as legs lock and butt starts toppling backward - she splashes down on her back - arms and head bouncing off canvas, jugs a-sloshing as she relaxes into the KO. CT brightens - smiling, kissing her left hand and waving at Bell - KO2 in substantial fashion, Charlize Theron.

After: Coming into the fight, Lake Bell had been well positioned as one of the big, new-model lightweights currently warring amongst themselves to obtain next-level credibility: Charlize steps into the picture and just like that, she may well have ruined this promising, under-utilized beauty. Theron waving off her attendants who are preparing the Victoria Secret body saddle - Bell needs something from the VS stretcher line instead as she is tenderly carried from the ring. "Been a while since I stepped to one of these young powerhouses and really blew her doors off," CT chirps - face fresh and sweaty, white towel looped about her neck as she swigs on an Evian bottle.

"I tapped the kid's body early - shook her up. She took it well, but she was hurt, and her guard was already loosened when I committed up top. I gave her a little leg because I noticed on tape that she didn't move well to her left, and she needed to be set to punch. That was it, really - an easy read for me - my body blows are just wrecking girls now, and mopping 'em up is a breeze. Hey!"

CT grabs one of the Krusher attendants, "make sure she gets a picture, OK? Sign itm 'Thank you for coming - sorry about your face - C.
