Before: Becks flirting with a slump - Celebrity Ring snapshot of this fight sums it up. "Kate's taken some hard knocks in recent fights, and hasn't really looked good since being stopped by Jenny McCarthy. She's doing the smart thing here: step back from the real murderous punchers; get with a smaller girl, a good boxer who can give her rounds, but a lighter hitter who won't be bouncing Beckinsale off the canvas. Once Kate gets her timing and confidence back, she can go title-hunting again. Right now, she just needs to concentrate on finishing and winning fights again."

Becks in black bikini with bra style top; small black gloves; hair in messy ponytail with bangs framing face. Reiko in yoga two piece - little purple cotton top; black stretch-cotton, boy-cut trunks; small black gloves; dark curls piled up/off her face.

During R1: Reiko scooting to her right, turning the Beckinsale left flank; Aylesworth looking to combat Kate's height with fleet, educated footwork. Midway through, Reiko's angles pay off: she lands a hard right hand over Kate's left - follows up with a brace of quick-bite hooks and choppy rights to send Beckinsale reeling. Kate firming at ropes - startled, but able to rally. Beckinsale punching-with off the apron, forces Reiko to bop away...but Aylesworth's done enough to take the heat.

R2: Aylesworth scooting, darting in and out, feinting: smaller woman has a definite gameplan for combating her big-name opponent tonight. Kate's beautiful brows furrowed: she's frequently getting spooked out of positions, faked out, pre-empted. Reiko very quick - able to decoy Kate up top, then stop to jab her body, then scoot away from receipts. Nibbling touch-and-go boxing from Aylesworth clearly vexing Kate, who hasn't landed anything of consequence on her foe through 2.

R3: Becks still trying to get traction...she's pumping the jab a little, trying to come forward and be big. Reiko nifty to either side - turning Kate's flanks and curving in on her: Aylesworth dousing Beckinsale with little nuisance flurries, forcing Becks to cover up. Kate unhurt, but clearly off balance and reactive: she's a confused beauty through 3 as little Reiko continues to shake-and-bake for points.

R4: Kate gets the jab on Reiko - punching some respect into Aylesworth. Jab leads to short left uppercuts to Reiko's body as Kate steps in off poke - British girl digging in with short, jerking delivery. Aylesworth grimacing, driven to ropes and corners: Kate coming forward constructively off the jab, punishing smaller woman's body. Midway through, Becks stepping-with and attacking Reiko along the ropes: Briton putting punches together, finally gets to Aylesworth. Strapping hook to waist sets up straight right/left hook up top - punching Reiko into ropes, then dropping her to all fours. Beckinsale pleased, brightening as she glances down to check her foe's hurt. Reiko recovers well - alert when she beats the count - but she shamelessly runs for her life rather than engaging over the last minute.

R5,6: Reiko surprises onlookers with a return to smart aggression. Footwork the key: Kate educated, but not as nimble - Reiko constantly able to turn either flank and initiate from angles. Aylesworth not heavy handed - but accurate, and tidy in combination, letting her fists play against Kate's toned torso in ratatat rhythms, then clouting at regal British cheekbones. Beckinsale routinely scuffed up in the engagements - taking some ugly, off-balance swings in there as Reiko's pesky hit-and-run has Kate second guessing. Aylesworth bright eyed, looking thoughtful and intense as she plies her trade: little TV fighter having one of the best nights of her life through 6 heats against A-list Kate.

R7: Kate frustrated, but focusing: shocking news that she could be losing this fight seems to galvanize her. Piercing jabs dictate position to Reiko - denying her the flank attack she's been using. Becks able to dip-n-dig that left uppercut to Reiko's ribs: good stiff punch from which to stage follow up combinations. Reiko getting off in quick twos and threes, but you can see she's a slapping, contact hitter - just tapping and knocking at Kate's face/guard. Beckinsale stepping in hard, straight, palm-down right hands to Reiko's ribs/breast, then turning over a vicious hook...she's clearly the harder hitter. Pivotal minutes: Kate cutting off the ring, forcing hard exchanges on Reiko - finally punishing Aylesworth and getting the better of trading sessions.

R8: Kate forward with confidence. Jab's finding Reiko now - pounding at her chest or face - knocking her about, steering her. Kate establishing to Reiko's body via jagged left uppercuts or straight, driving, palm-down rights: Briton coming off the body with vicious two-punch combos. Reiko looking distressed for the first time: punch output dropping as Kate's will starts to prevail in withering exchanges.

R9: Reiko starting to unravel as Kate dictates terms, starts to land crisp punches in series. Aylesworth dug hard to her body, then jerked about by chin-checking hooks or sleek right hands: Kate's accuracy finally expressing itself as Aylesworth slows. Reiko's scooting, energetic footwork replaced by flat-footed defensive crouches and earmuffs: Aylesworth just huddling up, trying to ride out Kate's combinations. Becks letting her hands go in tic-tac-toe sorties against Aylesworth's braced flanks: British girl loosening up, releasing well here. Reiko wobbled on several occasions, forced to stagger away to regroup. Becks flinty-eyed, scowling as she walks Reiko down, working hard to get this girl gone.

R10: Reiko combative, but outgunned: series of doomed engagements sees Reiko out-punched, backed up, walked down. Good bully's work for Kate: she's solved her foe at this point, just operating on her now, using Reiko to feel good about herself. Aylesworth gritting her teeth, not about to give Kate satisfaction: Reiko staying low, rolling shots in tight defensive crouches, then snatching back at Becks just enough to keep Kate from releasing the hounds. Goes to the cards, comes back one-point duke, Kate Beckinsale.

After: 5 rounds a piece, Beckinsale's knockdown decisive as a nimble, intelligent Reiko proves an able irritant. "Slump is over before it began, gentlemen," Kate tells camera during in-ring postfight. "I feel refreshed - I've gotten the kinks out, now it's back to business as usual for Kate Beckinsale."
