Before: Important positioning battle between stunning brunettes: each lass a world class beauty, trying to work her way up the food chain. "I've watched the Righetti fight," Kelly declares in prefight, "what there was of it. Pretty quick: Amanda bulldozed Alana, made her look small - and I think that's the trick. De La Garza got exposed, showed a little chinny - she has to be doubting herself against my humming right hands. I'll knock her about - wouldn't mind if she went some rounds - gives me a chance to work her pretty face for a while. Watching her leave the ring all puffy and discouraged would be lovely - I won't deny it!" De La Garza bristling under Kelly's very frank intentions: Alana not used to this level of brazen 'tude. "Amanda came in as a full-blown welterweight," Alana says defensively, "she should never have been allowed to take the ring. Now, it's true: Kelly has a tendency to pork-up for her fights - I wouldn't be surprised if SHE waddled in at 140 or so, but make no mistake: I won't be bullied again. My fists will tax her fat British body, and when she's breathing hard? My hooks will beat her right hands to the mark, and she'll be at my feet in no time!" Kelly in scarlet bandeau bikini with asymmetrical skirting along the waistline; black gloves; highlighted curls drawn back in frisky fighting bun - ringlets loose about her face. Alana in bikini - horizontal pastel bars of mauve, pink, blue, white - with ring connections hip and jug; white gloves. Pleasing stare down with Alana being all haughty cat-eyes while Brook's giving her a dismissive bytch-please.

During R1: Springy punches from Alana early as she jabs to the body, pivots to her left, curls limber hooks across: Alana with right under her chin, left low and supple. Stiff jab back from Kelly: she shows dukes-at-eyebrows front, squaring on Alana, releasing onto her chest. Kelly's pulverizing weight of shot decisive: she's moving Alana around the ring, forcing De La G into circular-pivoting defensive mode.

R2: Similar stuff - Kelly walking Alana down; De La Garza turning her girl, keeping the fight midring. All even as girls box outside, defending well in turn: Final minute sees Alana separate herself. Sneaky lead right hand punches Kelly's chin down; licking left hook curls up and across, smiting Kelly's face; pivot left and a thick left hook swept in behind Brook's right elbow has her grunting. Alana smiling hard: she leans in, tucks a right hand to British stomach; shifts to right foot to pull hook-across-jug. Kelly absorbing punishment, covers up and soaks as Alana showcases for points. Bell: De la Garza feeling good about herself, puts an insurance hook into Kelly's midsection, bringing in the ref hot.

R3: Kelly retakes initiative, stepping into Alana's chest with that thumping, battering-ram jab. De La Garza scowling, poked off her stance: she's getting walked down again, not enjoying it. Kelly patient, gradually hooking off her jab - just trying to make good contact on slick Alana. De La Garza spooked, but shifty: she'll slip the hook to get Kelly to miss over De La Garza's left shoulder - then Alana will move in tight, clinching Kel about her waist from the left flank, trapping Brook's left arm up in the air until ref's break. Down the stretch, Brook releases a steady stream of right hands off her jab. Alana immediately wilting under the barrage: even when partially blocking, she's rocked backwards, forced to scamper. Bell: Alana blinking prettily, a little dazed: Kelly gives her a look as they pass, searching for fear and quit.

R4: Alana clearly more agile, moving smoothly about the ring, turning Kelly's flanks, but Brook the aggressor, dictating terms. Kelly managing Alana's sleek movement and oily speed with that ramrod jab - fixing Alana's position with thumping chest connects, then going to work before De La Garza can slide aside. Kelly patiently placing straight, palm-down right hands hard upon Alana's left breast, or just below on the ribcage; short, curling right roundhouses to left flank; jagged little left uppercuts off the lean inside. Beefy, compact power and smart jabbing have Alana frustrated/on the move: De La Garza already breathing hard from all the running she's forced to do.

R5: Alana in spots, snarling as she releases springy, elastic straight rights and limber hooks; Kelly expressionless, calmly blocking, then issuing thumping receipts, steadily backing her foe up. De la Garza keeping her back clear of ropes, but at some cost: limber latina running her butt off tonight, starting to pull deep breaths when she gets a little distance. Alana also clinching more - moving in chest to chest, her hands clutching Kelly's shoulders while turning her counterclockwise, then pushing off.

R6: More of it. Kelly proving you don't need to be the fastest girl in the ring to be the most effective boxer: she's just walking her girl down, keeping dukes up to block the odd squall of punches, then pressing forward behind her jab. De La Garza spooked - not taking advantage of the available waistline on Brook: most of Alana's lithe punches die on Kelly's guard. Kelly getting the jab on Alana's mouth and chest, thumping her about: right hands still land to the body, but can't quite find the chin as De La Garza's legs continue to be her savior.

R7: Alana a little braver, a little busier: good things happen for her in the 7th. De La Garza throwing decoy straight rights against Kelly's guard, then pivoting left to get an angle for that lashing left hook in behind Kelly's right elbow: sweet, beefy impact results as De La Garza executes Gancha punch to perfection. As round progresses - De La G will stay on her left (lead) leg and double that hook CHUP! CHUP! - digging in behind elbow to get work done. Flicking, chickenwing jab from Alana keeps Kelly occupied - De La G using decoy punching to freeze Brook, make her wait her turn. Straight right hands delivered down into the body or in between the breasts complete the picture for Alana: she circles, picks Kelly apart in a latina 7th.

R8: Kelly jabs Alana to ropes for the first time - Briton able to square away, get hamhanded on her svelte brunette. Alana grimacing, keeping dukes up, elbows in, just taking a proper trouncing from a busy Kelly B. Brook turning over tight-arc lefts and rights to bash at Alana's shoulders/arms - beating apart the guard, then clubbing tidily to skull. Kelly shoving Alana off, bouncing her against ropes to reset her: Brook showing her strength, maintaining position atop sleek De la Garza. Alana protecting her chin well, but pummeled and jostled badly: clearly, she doesn't want to be ropebound by this opponent.

R9: Impressive stuff from Kelly - jabs, ramming right hands pounding at Alana's defenses, wearing brunette down. De La Garza in constant stumbling retreat - she's hollow-eyed, sniveling-lipped, surviving on guile and evasive maneuvers, but breaking down under steady pressure. Kelly not always landing clean, but always landing heavy: she's bashing at arms, ribs, flanks, loosening Alana up for clubbing skull strikes, jug-mugging and face-jabbing. De La Garza lumping up, cut in her mouth: intoxicating beauty flustered, frazzled by her foe's relentless execution. Bell: Kelly brightens - she's got this. Alana sullen, and showing her focus is shot when she asks her trainer during the break: "Do you think Tricia's watching this?" Trainer reads her the riot act - trying to rally his discouraged fighter. Embarrassing exchange caught on tape: that Helfer-admission will haunt Alana.

R10: Alana firms, does some scoring as Kelly comes forward brazen, eating punches rather than picking them off, in hopes of encouraging free-swinging exchanges. De La Garza bouncing her straight right off Kelly's face, then either jabbing or hooking her smartly: Alana still triggering effectively - where was all this firepower earlier. Brook unfazed - she continues to come forward, shrugging off Alana's hits, but unable to lean into one of those chin-kissing rights she's been looking for. Goes to the cards, comes back a solid UD10, Kelly Brook.

AFTER: Brook looking replenished - tossing out her curls and being all lively/upbeat with her cornermates: good steady performance from Kelly shows just how far from the beach she really has come. Alana punched-up, nice little shiner darkening about her left eye - tough night in the office for the beautiful woman who seems to have trouble managing beef in the ring. "I so wanted the knockout," Kelly states in postfight, still a-glow, "if she'd stood her ground and fought me woman to woman, I'd have ended it. She couldn't handle my punches at all - that was the whole story. She had a nice, tart hook to my body, but I discouraged her from throwing it - mostly all I saw of her was her legs running away from me all night!"
