Before: 'Irish' Jill Hennessey - Elizabeth Rohm - LAO fans turn out in droves to see one of the pre-eminent thinking man's collisions in boxing. Rohm stung by the overwhelming support of LAO faithful for Hennessy - an outdoor promotion downtown Boston sees Liz booed off the stage while Jill gets a raucous ovation - plenty of motivation for the blonde in this one. Hennessy blunt, candid in prefight: "None of these bimbos they've brought in have ever filled my shoes on 'Order'. Rohm's the worst - it will be my pleasure to finally put boot to ass on this girl." Rohm in pale blue bra, navy bikini bottoms, Jill in white cropped tank top (tight), purple/black panties.
During R1: Hennessy out Mickey Ward style, hands protecting her head, trying to collapse distance. Rohm right hand up, strong lead left, circling clockwise, stepping out to the right on occasion, doing a nice job of negotiating Hennessy around the ring. Tactical first, Rohm dictating with her legs and range.

R2: 3 minutes of precision from Elizabeth. Early counter right hand over top a pawing Hennessy jab has the brunette stutter stepping. Second minute right uppercut/left hook on the chin has the brunette staggering backwards. Final minute, Rohm hard on the body with swinging left/rights has Jill stooping forward stiff - gutting left uppercut to the solar plexus puts a bend in brunette knees that looks like a sinking knockdown until Jill flexes out of it. Hennessy rocky to the ropes, but defiant - waving Elizabeth on in and covering up. Rohm finishing up with beefy lefts and rights, hammering away to the flanks and arms of her impoverished foe at the bell. Hennessy rattled, but snarling at her corner during the break "I'm fine. Water!" 10-8 Rohm without the knockdown.

R3: Hennessy showing signs of wear, but she's trudging forward, reaches into a veteran bag of tricks this round to answer Liz' class. Jill with snag an outstretched Rohm left, clip her a few little left uppercuts until the ref issues the warning. Jill adept at pawing the right or left out of her guard, riding it on Liz' shoulder, pulling the blonde into clubbing strokes to the ribs. Hennessy also timing Rohm's jab much better, clanging a simaltaneous right hand over top and finding jaw with authority - taking the stick out of Rohm's arsenal. Final moments - paydirt. Hennessy pulling down on Liz' head with a cupping right, digging and hammering at her ribs and liver - Liz tries to pull away and takes a swinging hook on her chops as she pulls straight back - she's dropped to her butt with a boozy look after 3 solid minutes of Hennessy pressure.

R4: Jill outworking Liz - Rohm unable to get around Jill's flank - Hennessy grinding up the middle, forcing the fight into the trenches. Girls rubbing up faces and shoulders, tightly clipped punching. Hennessy much more efficient, scraping her shots, following through with forearms, biceps, shoulders as she works head and ribcage. Liz being consistently banged up by hooks, uppercuts - she's holding her ground, but waiting her turn - Hennessy busier, hungrier on the inside.

R5: Scrappy Jill Hennessy shutout. No jab from Rohm - Hennessy able to press up behind her guard, use her crafty holding and hitting to clout Liz about the head and shoulders, then sink in withering body shots with a jagged little Mickey Ward delivery. Rohm constantly beaten back and jammed up against the ropes - she's folding forward from thudding leather to the ribs beneath her breastline as Hennessy gets shoulders, back and hips into rolling combinations. Jill rough with her head and elbows, constantly shoving, mauling when she's not punching - Rohm drained, pale at the bell.

R6: Hennessy at work - machine like as she closes distance, roughhouses Liz to the ropes, gets her body weight forward, then starts breaking down blonde midriff with pounding, short lefts and rights. Rohm grimacing, hunkering in to push at Jill's biceps and getting off well herself - she's landing a firm hook in Hennessy's gut, leaning into the ropes to get room for a curling hook on the chin, but Jill's just not fazed. Hennessy clubbing and brawling her punches, but sitting down on well chosen hooks to the liver and a banging right on the cheek that's moving Rohm's head - hardhearted trading goes to the relentless brunette.

R7: Jill just irresistable - she wants Liz on the ropes, Rohm can't prevent it. Elizabeth gritting her teeth, covering up and trying to counter from her tight guard - Hennessy boring in with her head between the mitts, pulling down the defences, plugging away right hands square to gut, digging hooks behind the elbow and shocking Liz with curling little uppercuts from in close. Hennessy attrition strategy working wonders - Rohm getting progressively beaten up in these lengthy, body on body exchanges.

R8: Liz rotating right, extending her arms as she moves - she gets Jill reaching and drops a sweet right hand counter in behind the brunette's ear. Hennessy staggering forward as blonde sidesteps - Jill hurt, covers up and Liz steps in to work. Rohm prying the jab between the mitts, then swinging a sidearm right hard to the ribs, coming back with a ripping hook to the belly to freeze Hennessy on the spot. In and out and to the right - Liz swinging beefy right/left to the body, then looking up top - wide, hammering blows as Elizabeth works her girl over midring. Final minute, Jill bangs her gloves together and nods - she's taken the best of it and she resumes her forward momentum - blistering trade in stubby straight rights and lefts drives a shocked Liz Rohm to the ropes at the bell.

R9: Jill advancing, breaking Liz' will down now with sheer stubborn ferocity - blonde edging to the ropes, bracing her left shoulder against the brunette and digging in for more inside smash mouth. Rohm standing in tough and giving it back - it's not like she's not tagging Hennessy, but Jill taking a terrific shot always comes back harder, landing the extra punches as Rohm covers up. Rohm battered against the ropes - she's glassy eyed at the bell, discouraged.

R10: Shutout Jill Hennessey - she stomps across the ring, bodies Liz into her corner and stays right on top of her girl bell to bell. Rohm straining, pushing, covering up, clinching - Jill mauling, pulling, pushing and slugging. Rohm's eyes closed or pained - Jill's ferocious, intense as she works to burden her foe with weight and punishment. Rohm's ribs subjected to sustained, thudding bombardment - Hennessey unafraid of counters at this point, knows she has Liz crippled. Just a beautiful Hell's Kitchen beat down from Hennessey as the crowd roars with approval at the bell. Comes back UD10 Jill Hennessey.

AFter: Hennessey breezy in triumph - blue collar beat down of a classy blonde typical of Jill at her very best. Rohm beaten senseless, though rarely hurt by any one punch herself and despite landing the hardest individual blows of the fight - she's disconsolate, hurt by the cheers for her opponent and humiliated. Incumbent LAO girls are supposed to win, not get beat up by those that came before.
