Weigh-in almost cordial with neither woman saying or doing anything to provoke the other. For the bout, Theron will wear a cream jogbra, teal Adidas trunks, short tousled hair; Jennifer black jogbra, red Adidas bottoms and ponytail. Theron, the less experienced of the two is expected to try to use her height and box; Jennifer, a classic Latin fighter, will go to the body early and often.
Round 1: It almost ends before it even gets started. Jennifer leans into a ZINGING RIGHT TO THERON'S JOGBRA, shocking Charlize seconds into the bout and folding the blonde to the ropes. Jennifer attacks with gusto, putting her head under Charlize's chin and BLASTING BLONDE BUST with both guns. Somehow Theron soaks up the punishment as Lopez slows her attack, using her shoulder or forearm to shove the blonde back for beefy hooks to boobs, belly or ribs. By the final minute, Theron is scoring some tepid counter uppercuts off the ropes, sort of cupping Jennifer's jaw with her open glove as Lopez gets arm weary.
Round 2: This time it's Charlize opening with a power shot, catching Lopez coming in with a rising right hand that momentarily stops the Latina in her tracks. Jen shakes it off however and Theron is unable to capitalize. The round ends with Lopez jug-mugging Charlize on the ropes again - CHARLIZE IS ALMOST HELPLESS ON THE INSIDE.
Rounds 3-5: Total whitewash for Lopez who shuts Charlize out each round. Each is the same, Lopez bobs her way inside, and sets up on the blonde's chest, Charlize simply has no answer. Fighting off the blonde's chest, Lopez HURLS hooks into the tall girl's breasts, keeping the action close, methodical and relentless. Jennifer is clearly looking to wear down the big blonde, but digging left hooks in behind Theron's elbow in the fifth almost produces the stoppage. Again, Charlize is able to soak it up, but is taking a beating to this point. Each round ends to the sound of LOPEZ' GLOVES FLATTENING THERON'S PERKY TITS, ripping ribs and bashing belly, Lopez peels away at the bell with a huge smile - she's fighting with total confidence.
Rounds 6-7: Better rounds for Charlize who finally uses her shoulder and elbow to free up the odd uppercut. She still spends too much time holding Jennifer on the inside - and not effectively so as Lopez continues to win rounds with the same grinding body attack.
Round 8: Another shutout for Lopez as she batters Theron along the ropes. Frazier-like looping hooks up out of the crouch stun Theron towards the end of the round and Lopez furiously tries to finish with those digging Mexican HOOKS TO THE BREASTS. Charlize survives the round with a glassy look in her eyes. Asked if she wants to continue as her chances of winning seem steep, the plucky blonde shakes her head, refusing to quit.
Rounds 9-10: Jennifer gives up on the knockout, bobbing and crouching her way inside - slugging and shoving her way to an easy decision, LOPEZ SLUGS SACK as Theron crouches, trying to protect her assets instead of fighting back. UD10 Jennifer Lopez
After: Lopez dominates an unexpectedly easy fight. "She only knows how to fight one way," Jennifer says afterward. "She's available to the body whenever I wanted it, but I take my hat off to her - she sure can take a shot." In the final analysis, Charlize was helpless offensively, but her endurance and ability to withstand Jennifer's bombing hooks really opened some eyes.
