Crowd pleasing beach event last time out earns both girls a repeat payday - but some frustration in both camps as bigger fish remain elusive. "I want the big brunettes," says Molly in BLONDE! mag, "Cat Bell, Jen Garner, Ali Landry. I think I'd box circles around all of them - I think I'd handle Jen the way Charlize did, I'd hurt Bell and I'd punish Landry outside - but I can't coax any of them into the ring. Taylor's a good stop gap - a good fight for fans - but I'm bigger than the beach and I think we both know that."
Cole anxious to get Sims behind her and address that embarrassing stoppage loss last time out. "You know - Jenny O'Dell keeps saying how she wants to fight me, but I never see an offer sheet. I have business with Sims, but she's small-fry. I really want to launch off Summerland this year and get some names in the ring with me - I don't want to get bogged down in Sims-level comp."
Two girls with grand designs, but in the end, only Molly's vision prevails.
Virtual replay of the first fight, only Sims crisper, harder-hearted. Set to punch, Molly drove in jabs off her right big toe, detonating stick on Taylor's face like a power punch and setting the table for all that followed. Sims couldn't miss the right cross, pitching it in tight off her shoulder and clouting the left side of Taylor's face - and the mop up hooks did gouging good work under the line of Cole's breasts. Taylor for her part took an unbelievable punch and never stopped competing, but lack of head movement, stubborn committment to right hands and a fatal tendency to wait her turn added up to another brutal beatdown. Once again a fresh, lively Molly Sims cleaned up a staring, shopworn Cole against the ropes - Taylor with her hands stacked at her waist, getting herself rocked-to-sleep by Molly's pounding hooks and crosses until the ref stepped in to halt the carnage. Back to back strong performances for Sims: maybe she's turned the corner after all.
