Before: Tune up out for Jones as she looks to stay sharp and in contention. Not much is known about Bell, the doe-eye brunette star “J.A.G.”, but describes herself as a hard hitter, which seems believable to look at her. Red cotton jockeys for Catherine,, black for Janet.

During R1: Janet stands in her corner—and is immediately swarmed by a slightly keyed up Bell. Cathy uses Joes tactic of swinging punches to the waist, and has Janet trapped with thumping blows, Bell uses the shoulder butt, uppercut combination to get Janet to stumble forward, and by the middle of the round, Bell s bombing Jones with flush connects. Janet staggers forward, head rocking with punishment as Catherine rips blows from both hands, feet wide apart, hips moving through the punches. AND JONES IS HURT!! Janet tries to clinch and wanders into a maelstrom of clubbing blows, finally fading the ropes in survival mode. Catherine steps in and folds Janet up with a right hand to the pit of the stomach, then hacks away at the blonde with the right as Jones slowly keels forward. Rabbit punches bend Janet over her knees and a swatting blow to the lower back put her on all fours, clutching at her kidneys with a grimace. All Bell in this disastrous opener for Janet Jones.

R2: Jones clearly not recovered, still shaky-legged, and bell roars over to finish. Cathy stands in front of Janet. Bullying her, and torquing into swinging lefts and rights to the chin. Janet is busted up, loses her balance and is clubbed to the mat where she sits cross legged almost, her face stunned. Jones spends the rest of the round alternating between clutching and running. Clearly not wanting any more of the Bell power as her left eyte swells dangerously by the finish.

R3: Janet gets her act together, staying away from Bell and using her legs on a the slightly robotic brunette, Jones wheeling and dealing, doesn’t hurt Catherine, but pitches the shutout behind a potshotting jab, and some timely clutch and grab.

R4: Janet continues to box, circling and pecking, but Bell lunges and catches Jones with a hard left hook to the temple, which momentarily unhinges the big blonde. Booming hooks from Catherine  have Janet badly wobbled again, but she rights the ship, gets back behind the jab, and gets out of the round. Scored a draw—you’d never know it by looking at Janet’s bruised and puffy face.

R5: Janet resolves to stand her ground this round, and brings the crowd to its feet as she initiates a series of toe to toe exchanges. Both girls at power punching distance, but not just flailing away, as each uses upper body movement to slip and counter in addition to winging. Janet breaks Catherine’s will FINALLY, and has the brunette going backward in the final minute. Baseball bat left hooks to the body nearly break bell in half as she desperately holds on. Janet shrugs free and connects with a single sweet left hook to the chin as bell pulls straight back, and Cathy winds up on her butt. Bell survives and holds to the finish.

R6: Jones seems to have taken Catherine bell’s heart of the fight, and she gets after the brunette’s body with zesty round punches. Janet scores with the uppercut off body blows, and Bell’s legs go wobbly, She spends the rest of the round running, as Jones shuts her out.

R7: Another dominant round for Jones. Feet wide, jabbing high, snapping at Bell’s body with hooks, then looking for opportunities to land hard to the head—it’s classic Janet Jones breaking down the opponent.

R8: Jones up tempos this round, throwing a lead right to the head and body, coming back with bang-bang left hooks and right hands. Shifting positions often, Jones makes Bell turn, and Catherine becomes more and more defensive. Midway through the round a POUNDING left hook to the midsection draws a groan from the crowd as Bell slumps, and a cracking left hook around the guard drops Cathy to all fours. She gets up, but she’s badly shaken, and Jones wades in to get after the battered midsection of the brunette to the bell.

R9, 10: Virtual shutout rounds for Janet Jones as she coasts behid the jab, combination punching, and timely lateral movement. Bell simply doesn’t have the answers, and Jones cruelly delights in pounding her face with single potshgots and well placed jabs, unanimous decision Janet Jones.

After: Scary start for Jones, who admits she doesn’t remember the first round. She recovered like a champion however to hand out a very thorough beating to the game, but outgunned Ms. Bell. Catherine acquits herself well, making the most of what she has to offer Jones a pretty stiff test in this one.
