Before: In stark contrast to Dani taking on dangerous Daniel - Spears digs up woefully undertrained and dangerously inept Ricci, drawing howls of protest from eager bantam contenders. Spears' loyal following could care less who the opponent is, "It's a slap in the face to boxing," says one old scribe, requesting anonymity so as not to fall afoul of Britney's crack legal team, "It's Britney saying 'I'm bigger than this sport, it's all about me'. Ricci could get killed tonight." Britney in gold single strap top, bare midriff, tight green dance pants - Ricci in black sports bra, red adidas terrycloth runner's trunks.

During R1: Spears wasting no time, rushes her opponent, nailing Ricci with jumping haymakers Zab Judah style - stampeding the shell shocked Christina to the ropes. Britney jumping in and out, hands low, belting away to the breasts and face without restraint - bloodthirsty crowd getting their massacre as expected. Late in the round SPEARS GOES DOWN! Britney shunted to her butt as Ricci catches the blonde off balance with a desperation hook off the ropes - Spears bouncing immediately to her feet, squealing "Slip! It was a slip!" to the ref, but it stands as a knockdown. Carelessness costs Spears a round she was in complete control of as Ricci wobbles uncertainly to her stool at the break.

R2: Spears' fury unabaited - she launches free swinging lefts and rights from her thighs, clobbering Ricci stupid as the blonde's hand and foot speed simply too much. Ricci turning away girlishly, pushing punches back and getting drilled, reels from pillar to post as Spears parties it up on the damaged brunette.

R3: Britney wading in brazenly again, outraged as Ricci leans forward behind her guard to cram in a couple of compact hooks to Spears' prize puppies. Merciless blonde retaliation tears Ricci up - slicing lefts and rights in rising arcs bash away at face, leaving Christina dazzled on the ropes. Britney squaring away, snarling as she puts punches together - dreadful sustained punishment as Ricci covers up initially, but is quickly pummelled helpless as the body and head strikes pile up. Ref looking on - Ricci's head lolling dangerously forward as she sits heavily into the ropes - she's out, and Britney's piling on. Hellish right hands clobber home again and again, finally toppling Christina from her perch on the ropes and THEN the ref steps in to body Spears back. Ricci slumbering on her face, horribly beaten - Britney prancing the ring like she's just beaten Charlize Theron - KO3 Britney Spears.

After: Ricci out for many minutes - concerned physicians carefully checking her over - Britney complaining to FCBA officials that Christina 'should be removed' rather than take up valuable ring space and air time on television. Frightening mismatch seems to be lost on Spears - all she knows is she successfully defended her belt, and that, in spectacular fashion.
