Fight takes place in an out of the way casino in the Pacific Northwest--boxing equivalent of dinner theater. Despite Bell's strong outing against Janet Jones, Theron's camp likes the brunette's robotic stance and tendency to stand in front of the opponent. They don't mind that Bell's a willing mixer. "Charlize needs someone to come forward and make the fight. We don't want anybody getting cute with her." Black jockey two piece for Charlize; light blue cotton tank top and cotton panties for Catherine.

Rds 1-3: Bell lives up to her promise, standing up strong in front of Charlize, gloves high, feet dug in, and the blonde owns her in these opening stanzas. Charlize circles, punches in combinations, then pulls Bell's head down or spins her, getting the brunette preoccupied with her positioning. Catherine can't get into a groove and Charlize establishes a nice pot-shotting rhythm from outside. In the third, a lead right sets up a cracking left hook that challenges Bell's legs, but she soaks it up in good order.

Rd 4. Scary moment for Charlize as she gets caught early in one of Bell's buzzsaw flurries. Bell bangs back Charlize's head with half a dozen strong hooks and crosses, bending the blonde's knees and forcing Theron to clinch. Bleeding from the nose, Charlize retains her composure, and boxes smartly the rest of the way, controlling Bell with the jab. Volume of punches by Theron earns her a draw despite Bell's early hard stuff.

Rd 5. Charlize paints Catherine black and blue this round. Spanking Bell's face with the stiff jab, Theron begins working in left hooks to the body and head, and has Catherine wincing in pain from the second minute on. All Bell can do is pivot, try to counter-but she eats a lot of leather this round as Theron cruises to a shutout!

Rd 6. Charlize edges in on Bell, feints with a jab, and comes over with a sharp right cross and Bell reels back with "hurt" written all over her pretty face. Bell on the ropes, legs wide and trembly, absorbs a beating as Charlize goes for the finish, then slows as she realizes Catherine's not ready to go. Theron content to body up on Bell, trap her on the ropes, use her shoulder and forearm to control the brunette. and club away at her with short hooks.

Rd 7. A little offense early from Bell is quashed as Charlize takes charge in a withering exchange of hooks. Bell covering up, wobbly butt, as Theron goes to the body with the long, almost straight left hand. Scooping at Bell's ribs, Theron is in complete control, putting her cheek on the top of Bell's head and working both sides of the brunette's long torso.

Rd 8. Charlize continues to impress, stepping around Bell, jabbing hard to the face, and seemingly surprising Catherine with every right cross thrown. Bell gets in some left hooks, but she's pretty contained as she drops her 8th straight round.

Rd 9. Charlize flat footed for the first time in the night, goes toe to toe with Bell and gets the short end of the stick this round. Catherine grinds her forehead into Charlize's and the two wail away at point blank range. Catherine gets the better of the two way action to take her first round.

Rd 10. Charlize stands in again, and the crows roars as neither girl takes a backward step in more nose to nose action. Bell gets stronger as the round goes on and by the final minute is beating Charlize to the punch. Especially effective is the left hook for Bell-she's just got Charlize timed so that as the blonde swings right, Bell dips her shoulder and comes back with the snapping left. Theron, despite getting cracked repeatedly by the punch stands her ground, and this one ends at center ring with both girls belting one another at the bell. Comes back a UD10 for Charlize Theron!

After: Problem? What problem? Charlize controls a big strong opponent using decent boxing skills, and slugs her way to an 8-2 lopsided decision. For once, Theron is not the most beat up fighter in the ring at the bell as Catherine certainly fielded more leather in this one. Fighting well within herself, Charlize settled for dictating the pace of this bout rather than trying to be the most electrifying woman in sports entertainment, and the result is one of the most thorough wins of her career.
