Before: "She's in tough," says Eliza of the champ, "I don't have two flat performances in a row. God love 'em for giving me this shot, but it's gonna bite 'em big time." Connelly publicly assessing Daniel as her legitimate number one contender, very candid in her opinion of the surprise challenger Dushku, "Brittany showed she's the better woman, but that doesn't mean Eliza's number 3. I wouldn't make her a top 5 bantam to be honest. Maybe top 10. She just hasn't shown me she belongs at 118." Dushku with the skills, Jenny with the pop and natural size advantage - Eliza in red leather bikini, Connelly in navy sports bra, red boycut trunks, ponytail.

During R1: Shutout Eliza. Dushku announcing herself with a shocking lead right hand, stamping it hard onto Jenny's face and sidestepping off it - Connelly getting nailed, regrouping, adjusts to keep her guard up around her eyebrows. Eliza roams to her left, gouging in under Jenny's right elbow, feasting to the body, pivoting sharp, keeping the champ's feet moving. Classic Eliza D - landing hard to ribs and head, shearing off her angles, turning her foe midring for points.

R2: Connelly out with her improved jab, gets into range and lands her first solid hooks against Dushku's shoulder and ribs. Eliza rolling with the punches, doubles up her own stick and continues her clockwise rotation, stepping out to time Jenny walking in for that sudden right counter. Pretty moment for Dushku late: she backs to a corner, bounces off both adjacent ropes as Connelly misses with stubby punches from her shoulders - Eliza spinning out, opens up the canvas, in control with her feet through 2.

R3: Eliza keeps at Jenny with the jab, moving left, waiting for Connelly to turn and jamming that right hand in between the mitts for clean scoring blows early. Dushku mixing it up - she'll flurry upstairs to get Jenny occupied, then sink in a vicious hook to the ribs. Connelly wincing with these body shots - Dushku's getting to her. Down the stretch, Eliza slips Connelly's hook, dives in behind a short counter right hand and beats Jenny clean to the punch. Connelly's right sails over the top as she nearly falters to one knee - Eliza dipping in on her front foot and pumping fearsome hooks to the belly at the break - champ stooped forward numb, gloves at her temples as Eliza helps herself.

R4: Connelly shows rugged - going right at Eliza with a firm stick in the mouth, following up with slicing right hands - Dushku falling back with torso turns side to side as she blunts the incoming. Tough slugging near the ropes, Eliza crouching, using her shoulder against Jenny's body, trying to sway in and out to catch Connelly with counters. Jenny compact, gloves at her cheeks, she's crowding Eliza, getting her forearms on the smaller woman's shoulders, propping her for short, clubbing hooks atop the head, against the chest. Dushku doing a nice job riding it out - Connelly can't find the chin flush, but the batting beat down has challenger under wraps. Connelly hounding and pounding effectively, outhustles Eliza to get on the board.

R5: Eliza stooping to jab the belly, slide-stepping back - Connelly stepping forward, ramming out the jab and Dushku times it to perfection. Eliza rock-stepping out, fades the stick, rocks back in with that blistering short right, kissing it off Jenny's chin, ducking down on follow through as Connelly's right hand never gets off the launch pad. Jenny tottering backwards, hits ropes wide eyed and staring - a heartless Eliza Dushku wades on in. Dushku letting her hands go, setting her hips and shoulder to crank vicious tight left uppercuts in bunches, shaking Jenny up, leaving her limp, then cracking her that blasting cap right. Connelly helpless, hands drooping, face getting battered, crowd screaming and Dushku just POURS it on! Connelly wilting, out on her feet, no longer responsive and the REF JUMPS IN! Eliza Dushku leaping away hands in the air - Connelly stopped out at the ropes TKO5.

After: Sherriff shakes the Buffalo Bill label big time, handing Jennifer Connelly a devastating beat down stoppage - as methodical and systematic a drubbing as the Oscar winner has taken in quite some time. Dushku showing real emotion with the win - no disguising what it means to her to be a two division champion at last. "To be honest, I thought it would be easier," says Dushku of dethroned Connelly, "after the first round I felt like I could take her any time I wanted, but she took a hell of a shot. She's not the punk I figured she was coming in. Anyway: I've got a lot of debts to settle in this division and now that I can't be ducked, I'm anxious to start collecting. I'm diggin' in here girls. Get used to it."
