Undercard - Teri Hatcher vs. Katie Holmes

Before: Hatcher an HBO house fighter takes on Holmes in her ppv debut on the undercard of Kiana Tom/Charlize Theron. Holmes a strapping young lass, taller and stronger than Hatcher, but remains to be seen how she'll handle the pressure of a huge PPV show. Teri in red jockey two piece, Katie in yellow retro bikini -sixties cut.

During R1: Hatcher recognizing that punching up at Holmes will sap her power, so she focuses on hurling that right hand to the body in a series of pitching potshots. Stepping in and bouncing the fist off Katie's toned sternum, Hatcher has Holmes wobbling early, as the younger celeb clearly doesn't like it to the body.

R2: Hatcher continuing to break Katie down, setting up in her wide stance, then leaning into those spearing right hands to the ribs, once again causing Holmes’ legs to quake. Katie doubled over, brings her head into the power zone, and Teri able to gouge at Holmes’ face with the biting left hook, while continuing the stream of body shots with the right.

R3, 4, 5: All Teri Hatcher, as she pitches shutouts from the outside on a passive Katie Holmes. Holmes folding over from body shots, takes punishment upstairs which causes her to straighten up and expose her body again. Holmes waiting for Hatcher to get off, never initiates, allowing Teri to pick her spots, put her punches together in a very workmanlike effort. Holmes taking Hatcher's bombs relatively well, considering how flush Teri is landing.

R6: Katie with a little offense - mostly arm punches - she's very reluctant to peel her arms away from her body, and really just swipes at Hatcher from middle distance.

R7: Katie with a routine looking one two, stuns Teri, who blinks and wobbles to her left as Holmes gets excited. Katie muscling up, begins winging lefts and rights, bludgeoning a shocked Teri Hatcher to her backside. After the standing 8, Holmes all lit up with eagerness, wades in on Teri as Hatcher stumbles away, bending straight back and getting tagged as Holmes pinwheels her punches. Suddenly, Hatcher reverses direction, sets her feet and crashes the right hand off Katie's chin as the brunette rushes in. KATIE is hurt, hands down, stumbling back, and both beauties look wrecked as legs wobble, hands lie at waist level, and faces look blank with damage. Teri pressing the action, walks through Katie's don't-hurt-me jab, and bends her lithe body into another crunching right to the side of Holmes' head. Katie slides down the ropes to the canvas, sitting on one haunch as she reaches for the ropes behind her. Holmes can't beat the count, and a staggery Teri Hatcher accepts the cheers with a tired expression.

After: Hatcher with another cardiac win over an up and coming ingénue. Katie with a lot of work to do, not punching at her weight yet, a little slow of foot, not showing the kind of aggression over all that makes for a real contender at this point. Went after the hurt Hatcher way too wild - good learning experience for Holmes.
