Midway through, Electra lunges - Jen fades back, walks Carm into a bang-bang straight left/right, shaking Electra, halting her in no-woman's land. Jen sets hips, rips hooks - big batting strokes take Carmen in the shoulder and skull, buffetting her backward with a stunned expression. Drilling right hand - Jen leaning in and down with chin music - swivels Carmen's head aside, drives her to ropes. Connelly hopping forward, jabbing Carm up top to occupy her guard, then ratatat batting shivering straight-arm rights and lefts against her foe's flanks. Electra whining moist, reaches in to clinch: Jen throws her shoulder at shorter vixen's face to bump her back, keep punching. Connelly staying on Carmen's luscious little chassis - banging away to drain those legs of vigour in a bell to bell romp.

R2: Jennifer out strong behind that pumping jab, really spackling Carmen, refusing her, backing her up. Electra frazzled, bending at the waist and trying to weave the poke: Jen lines her up and drills a sizzling right cross - piercing shot finds 100% chin, drapes poor Carmen stunned and staring in the ropes. Jennifer hopes forward for more body abuse and ELECTRA WON'T HAVE IT! Carm wobbly butt, yet slugging desperately off the ropes - she's practically frothing at the mouth as she swings away from the hips. Connelly rebuked, retreating in good order, blocking shots at her temples with either glove - she legs out of range and regroups, but Electra's ferocity can't be denied. Carmen giving ragged pursuit - taking insane chances - leaping and sweeping at Jen from well outside, starting punches at the knees and looking to cave in Connelly's head. Jen keeping her distance, threading in the occasional jab, using the ring - fiesty Electra defiance prevents Jen from building on that big first-minute right hand.

R3: Electra picks up where she left off - attacking Jennifer, bringing the fight to her. Carmen crouching, hands often low, either shoulder pointing at Jen - she'll bend, then twist, uncoiling herself at Connelly with power from either side, screened by her closed stance. Connelly fading, fading - she's shying away, but not running - using her legs smart, countering Carmen's lust with heady footwork. Minute mark sees Connelly start to intercept Electra with the jab, bogging Electra down at medium range, slowing up her rushes, blunting her aggression. Midway mark, Carmen jumping in: Jen times it, turns a GORGEOUS short left hook, tugging Electra's chin before Carm has any idea what's happened. Carmen pre-empted - Jen sidestepping - Electra stumbles forward and SPRAWLS FACE FIRST TO CANVAS! Carmen in shock, snivelling as she tries to rally haywired limbs - she's flopping and spasming about, trying to climb the ropes and SHE CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT! KO3 in dismissive fashion - Jennifer Connelly!

After: Connelly answers the Electra jinx in style: cold, calculating, precision defeating Carmen's passionate all-in gambits. "Why can't people accept the fact that Electra got LUCKY against me? This idea that she's my jinx, or I can't handle her style is totally wrong-headed: I've always known exactly what I had to do against her, and tonight - I did it.
