Before: "Naomi likes to say how much she's wanted to fight me," Sienna says in prefight, "and that Tech simply didn't try to make the fight. The truth is Tech was PROTECTING Naomi - yeah, that's right. They were doing the best thing for their fighter, because they saw her drifting into deep, dangerous waters, and they didn't want Naomi embarrassed. Now, I guess nobody's looking after poor little Naomi. Nothing to stop me from tearing her to shreds now." Watts very public about her grand plans as an independent - Sienna's always been at the top of the list, but she's not the only name. "I need to beat Miller to settle the issue for our UK fans," Naomi explains. "With Sienna down, I can focus on the Americans - Bosworth, Portman, Lohan, Danes - and I know Sienna's eyeing the same names, so it's doubly important to put her in her place." Watts in white bikini with ring connections/ bobbed Huckabees hair; small white gloves. Sienna in leopard print bikini top, taupe tie-side bottoms; small black gloves.

During R1,2: Stop and go action - Naomi fighting very tactically, looking to dictate tempo and terms to Miller. Sienna aggressive, coming in with stringy overhand rights - but not landing clean: Naomi's footwork doing a nice job moving her out of Miller's punching lanes. Watts operating behind the jab - touching Sienna once or twice, slide-stepping back and walking Miller into clinches: catch and release boxing very frustrating for young Sienna. When girls clinch, it's with hands palming offending ribcages or underarms, heads in close - the women pushing in on each other rather than hugging.

R3: Naomi's getting her agenda over. Right open near her mouth; slighting crouch; crisp, piping-hot jabs - often doubled up - striking at Sienna's face and raised guard. Miller scowling, frustrated - when she managed to penetrate, she's getting clinched; when she hangs back, she's getting outboxed and nibbled. Watts yet to throw the swinging right hand which devastated Virginie Ledoyen: totally different set of looks from Watts tonight.

R4: Watts note-perfect - dominating positionally midring behind her jab and clockwise rotation. Miller turning, hands up, trying to swat at Naomi's poke: Watts keepin' it frisky - stooping to stab at tummy; chipping and scuffing at face. Watts now deploying right hands - palm down as she scoots in and pulls it up and around: Miller able to duck it, but leaving Naomi free to claw hooks at slender British ribcage. Watts in and out - using the right to spook Sienna, then cleaning her up a quick, clawing hook - pivoting out and away to the left to keep Sienna stymied.

R5: More of the same - Naomi's legs and jab have established air-superiority - she's just conducting operations at her own pace, stitching in and out, circling around, dominating ring geometry. Sienna not being hurt, but she's getting frazzled, worn down a bit: Naomi's gnawing on her here, touching vexing and outwitting Miller. Sienna's instinct is to brawl her way out of trouble, but Naomi's clinches - including illegal neck-clasps - effectively neutralizing Miller's aggression.

R6: Hotter two way tossing than we've seen: Miller more effective with Naomi standing still. Sienna punching her jab through to Naomi's face for the first time - Miller smiling every time stiff contact startles Watts. Naomi wide to Miller's ribcage with a tasty right hand - recovering from the position with a doubled up jab. Miller buggy-whipping her right to Naomi's left flank in reprisal - good spicy stuff all around. Watt's outhit, pinking up nicely in her ribcage as Miller's finally able to do work.

R7: Shutout Watts. Naomi goes back to circular, easy footwork - sliding back and looking to clinch any Miller penetrations rather than slug-with. Miller beside herself - bytching at the ref about Naomi's holding - but it's mostly frustration at the touch of Naomi's jab and inability of Sienna to renegotiate. Watts very patient - eyes bright as she picks and chips at her girl - scoring the odd ringing right hand or hook to ribs, noticeably stiffening Miller's slim legs through 7.

R8,9: Similar to rounds 1 and 2: Sienna fighting hard, scoring in spots, but simply being bamboozled and outclassed. Watts' jab has Sienna's eyes puffing up nicely; bright pink patch of skin at Sienna's tummy marks the spot where Naomi's been poking her left mitt all night. Watt's sprinkling in hard, whippy rights to the flank; digging, short hooks close-in to midsection and jug - good tuff touches, then Watts slides out/steps around. Discouraging stuff - Sienna moping, complaining - often awkwardly rushing in just to be tied up: Watt's managing the youngster with unflappable poise through 9.

R10: Watts runs: Sienna wins a round by default. Sienna trying SO HARD to land the big one - great looping right hands and sweeping hooks - but it's all too obvious without a set up jab. Watts loping the ring with an easy smile - eyes taunting Sienna as Aussie bounces off ropes, spins and dances about, clinching as necessary to run the clock. Comes back surprisingly wide UD10 (8 rounds to 2) Naomi Watts.

After: Naomi smiling, chatty with press and her confederates - easy breezy duke over Sienna has Watts in high spirits. "Sienna lacks class," Naomi chirps in postfight. "Always has. It was very discouraging for her tonight - I could see it in her eyes: I was just pulling her strings and making her do what I wanted - all night long." Miller enraged - stomping from the ring angry-butt: set back for the beautiful Brit who had entered as a bit of a favourite in some sectors, placing a distant second tonight.
