BBU BOUT

Victoria has become totally fed up with hearing about the big new girl about to arrive on the BBU welterweight scene, and is delighted to be able to fight the big Mancunian on her debut in Cardiff at the BBU headquarters. Wunmi has been longing to get into the ring, and a fight with Victoria is one she is confident of winning, and winning well.

There have been a couple of warm-up fights for the fans to watch before the two celebrities, the BBU having encouraged a few of the Cardiff pole-dancers and nightclub hostesses to fight one another in a series of three round bouts. They are more than ready to watch the two celebrities fight it out, and they are soon cheering when Victoria enters the ring, wearing a bright white tankini. The Irish girl is bouncing in her corner, and is soon joined in the ring by Wunmi, looking good in a pale blue one-piece outfit, and glaring at the blonde in the opposite corner.

Round 1

The girls clash immediately in the centre of the ring, with Wunmi drilling her right lead between Victoria’s gloves, knocking the older girl’s head right back, although she counter-punches well, clipping the younger girl neatly to the mouth, then switching to her body, needing to weaken her as quickly as she can, achieving some results too, as the girl backs off, and she has to take some punishment as she lays against the ropes, and Victoria is certainly landing plenty of shots, but Wunmi gives her a big right hand to the jaw in the closing seconds, rocking the older girl to her boots.

Round 2

Victoria is looking bright as the round starts, jabbing crisply and moving well, but things start going wrong for her when she finds herself running out of space by the middle of the round, and Wunmi’s big punches are starting to land, especially her powerful right lead, a hard straight rod of a punch which soon has a dribble of blood snaking from each nostril, and she’s following up with a few left handers as well, and a savage left hook to her cheek puts Victoria on the canvas, scrambling up at 7, with a bruise already forming on her cheekbone. The round ends with Victoria covering her face with her gloves while Wunmi tries to penetrate her guard with big punches.

Round 3

Wunmi goes looking for Victoria from the bell, expecting to finish the blonde off immediately, but the Irish girl is brave, and stands her ground well, swapping punches with the younger girl, and landing more regularly, the problem being that when Wunmi lands a punch it hurts, and by the middle of the round the older girl is getting a bit of a beating, trying to keep clear, but she’s soon in trouble, on the ropes, and gets floored by a hard right hook to the ear. A shaky Victoria is on her feet at 8, but may be regretting it as Wunmi rips a few hard blows into her ribs, and Victoria’s groaning on her stool as soon as the bell rings.

Round 4

The late body beating has taken its toll on Victoria, who is very slow to rise this time around, and the girl is a sad looking specimen as Wunmi lays into her again, setting her up against the ropes, ripping her to the belly, then over comes the left hook, smack in the mouth this time, and the Irish girl hits the floor hard, no count necessary – she’s out cold!

Wunmi Mosaku knocked Victoria Smurfit out in round 4.

Wunmi showed her power in that debut fight – she wants a BBU contract and maybe there’s a manager looking for raw welterweight to finesse.
