Round 1

Elle and Liz meet mid ring and exchange blows. Amazing all out punching by the veteran cruiserweights. Elle’s speed not there though and Liz is all over this exchange. Blasting powerful hooks at Elle’s guard and getting the odd one through. Liz burying blows to Elle’s body and SHE IS HURT, not good signs early for Elle. Liz landing telling blows to the body, powerful hooks and jabs into 48 year old flesh and DOWN GOES ELLE MACPHERSON! Elle heaving mid ring, copping a barrage of body blows. On her knees at 6 and up at 8, Liz weighs in with jabs to the unsuspecting face of Elle, stiff jabs bouncing off her chin. Elle helpless, guard high. Elle backpedalling, forcing Liz to chase if she wants to end it. Liz taking some punishment to the body late.

All Liz Hurley in the first with a surprise knock down. No MacPherson speed or power to be seen. Looking pedestrian.

Round 2

Elle backing Liz up early on with stiff jabs to the torso, Liz taking hard shots to the mid section, retreating and throwing hooks up stairs. Elle ducking and weaving and staying low with hard body punches through the first minute. Liz goes back to the body now, reefing hooks at Elle’s ribs, Liz’s approach unsettling the Aussie. BIG RIGHT HOOK to the chin, Elle on shaky legs, keeps her feet but stumbles to the ropes. Liz pounces and pounds away at Elle’s guard, blow after blow connecting with gloves, the odd one picking up chin. Elle offering nothing as Liz pounds away to the bell.

All Liz Hurley again. Elle not coping with the overall ability of Hurley. She is up top and down below and Elle can’t find her rhythm

Round 3

Elle working forward and going to torso again. Liz up top working the stiff jab. Elle punches more powerful now as she reefs in the hooks and jabs at Liz’s mid section. Liz on the back foot now, still jabbing but to little effect. Elle’s body shots hurting her through the first minute. Midway through, the tide turns again as Liz lands a few powerful jabs at Elle’s chin, seasawing affair as both girls land punches and force the other to retreat. Final minute, Elle back on top as she pounds away at Liz’s stomach and ribs. The power punches taking there toll as Liz covers up, wincing with each blow.

Elle chipping away that round. She brought the power in late in the round. Haven’t seen those lightning hands yet. Liz in a good position although copped a pounding to the torso late.

Round 4

Elle continuing where she left, pursuing Liz with body blows as she tries to return the blows. Elle getting the better of the close exchanges with some thunderous hooks, backing Liz up. Liz backpedalling, SHE IS HURT. Elle in close, here are those quick hands, lightning combinations to Liz’s stomach and ribs, the odd uppercut to the chin, but all downstairs, relentless punching as HURLEYS KNEES GO, Elle pounding away, UPPERCUT TO THE CHIN AND DOWN GOES LIZ HURLEY! Out of nowhere came the quickest uppercut I have ever seen and Liz is flat on her back. On her knees at 6, up at 8. Liz glassy eyed and bleeding from the lip and HERE COMES ELLE. Lighting Liz up with quick little jabs and uppercuts. Liz’s guard at her chest as Elle fires in jab after jab, rocking Liz’s head back and fourth, then going downstairs and treating herself to 8-10 punch combo’s of Hurley torso, Liz falls onto her but Elle pushes her back to the ropes and ends it with a flurry of quick hooks and uppercuts…..THE REF STEPS IN!! It’s all over, TKO Elle MacPherson!

Elle tearing the ref away from Liz and giving her a huge cuddle, helping her to her corner and then returning to mid ring for her celebrations. Nikki Visser lifting her into the air. Big win this one for Elle MacPherson who begins her two year plan to take out the FCBA Crusierweight title before she is 50.

Liz gallant in defeat.
