With Double A and Beever's Babes tied at two wins a piece, the deciding fight sees Alexandra Burke taking on The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford. Pre-fight, Frankie seems determined, no smile to be seen as she says, "I've let a lot of people down in the past. I'm not going to do that anymore. Tonight will be different." Burke laughs, shaking her head. "Frankie can't box. I hear there's been some heat building between The Saturdays and Girls Aloud, but I don't think she'll even make it that far after I get done with her!"
Frankie wears a shiny black bikini, while Burke stuns in a sheer silver one-piece.
Round 1:
Frankie comes out fast, shocking Burke with a few rights to the face before she can properly cover up. Alexandra's confidence doesn't seem to be helping her as Frankie continues to slip jabs past her gloves, Burke's left eye actually beginning to puff up slightly late in the round. The offense is all Frankie as she uses her speed to punish Burke whenever she tries to create an opening, getting the first shot in on every exchange as leather constantly catches Burke in the cheeks.
Frankie's round. Her speed is proving to be too much for Alexandra.
Round 2:
Frankie opens up with that quick jab once again, aiming for that left eye which has puffed up quite a lot. Alexandra answers back with a shot to the body or the occasional jab whenever she can, but Frankie controls the action early on, dodging away from Alexandra's wild swings and then ducking back in with quick combinations. While she's lacking power, the simple abundance of Frankie's punches connecting are taking a toll on Burke, who can only counter-punch desperately in response in hope of catching Frankie with a damaging blow. Her punches mostly bounce harmlessly off of fit chassis or graze off of Frankie's cheeks as Frankie seems to have a rhythm against the slightly taller girl, weaving in and out to great effect.
Another round for Frankie. Alexandra just can't get anything going.
Round 3:
BOOM! Frankie grew a little too confident, as Burke managed to scout a turn to the right with a hard left hook, shaking the smaller girl and almost sending her splatting to the mat. Frankie remains on her feet, covering up as she tries to defend herself, but Alexandra wades in, fist after fist pounding off of her body. She then goes up high, catching Frankie with a few smart jabs, but then only grazing when Frankie wisely dodges to her right. Noticing this, Frankie quickly counter-punches with a few rights to Burke's face, aimed right at that already swollen eye. They trade blows to the bell, Alexandra landing the more effective hits, but Frankie's mosquito-like punches landing enough to put Burke in a dangerous situation with that eye.
Close round goes to Alexandra, who landed more effective punches.
Round 4:
Frankie look hurt, but Alexandra's left eye is almost completely swollen shut, which does not go unnoticed. Frankie keeps ducking to her right, keeping herself on Burke's left side as much as possible, swatting lefts and rights to that left side. Alexandra tries desperately to swat them away and punch back, but the shots she does land are mostly ineffective, and it finally comes to a head as Frankie lands a vicious hook, swiveling Burke's head and sending her stumbling into the corner. She continues to land hook after hook, hardly even giving Alexandra a chance to turn her head back, and the referee steps in as it's clear that there is no resistance.
Frankie Sandford stopped Alexandra Burke in the fourth round.
Frankie almost shrieks in happiness, all smiles as she can hardly contain herself from jumping up and down. She looks to Alexandra's corner, catching the girl's eye and giving her smirk as she shakes her head. "She said I couldn't box, but look what I did to her! I told you I could do it! I wasn't about to let the other girls down, not again. She only saw my record, not me. Girls Aloud can bring it any time they want!" she says, holding up her finger in a "#1" and making sure Burke sees it before leaving the ring to join the rest of Double A in celebration.
Double A Boxing wins 3-2 over Beever's Babes in a very close contest! You can be sure neither side will take this win for granted!
