BEFORE: "I'm better," a determined Lilly proclaims, flashing blue eyes challenging anyone to disagree. "I've weighed Allison, and measured her: she's not up to spec. She's tough, but I'm tougher: this fight is going to put the tournament on notice that I'm serious about reclaiming those belts!" Mack upbeat - bruising qualifying victory over former champ Neve Campbell has the blonde eager to revisit another old rivalry. "If you look objectively at what I was able to do to Missy Peregrym, and how Missy handled Lilly, you'll see that I've closed the gap on Evangeline considerably since our first fight. She came out of the gates strong in the FCBA, but I think I proved against Missy that I'm the better, more well-rounded fighter. I've been anxious to get Lilly in the ring again, and I can't think of a better occasion than this tournament!" Lilly in baby-blue surfing bikini with floral print (pinks/mauves/whites); small black gloves. Mack in lavender bikini neatly bow-tied at jug; small black gloves.

During R1: Stubby, hard-hitting action. Lilly bobbing forward - hooking, dropping short right hands - driving Mack ropeside. Mack grimacing - face and head struck hard early: she digs in, hooking Lilly savagely to right pec, then right flank behind the elbow. Lilly grimacing, but plowing in: chugging right/left assault pounds rapidly at blonde gut, then storms up-torso to light up the jugs. Mack gasps, but answers a short right hand, catching Lilly to cheek, causing Evangeline to stumble forward into clinch. Lilly writhes her way in the clear - pumps hup-hup-hup to breadbasket, then she's shoving Ali off into ropes, clubbing her head and chest via compact, robust, tightly-turned rights and lefts. Mack bashed upside the head: she sags into ropes momentarily stunned, but rallies again, feeding Lilly a pair of stuffing rights to gut, bunching Evangeline up. Lilly snarls, answers back a withering hook to chin, turning Mack's head and LOOSENING HER UP! Crowd shrill as Mack goes limp: Lilly's tucking in right hands to trembling blonde tummy, doubling Mack over. Lilly all brawny - left arm round Mack's back to cradle her - right hand pumping up and in, UP AND IN! Sobbing Mack eventually clinches, hanging on for ref's break.

And that's just a minute and a half in.

Rest of the way similar: Lilly attacking, attacking, attacking - pushing Mack into ropes, beating her hip to head, muscling her, pushing on her, shouldering her. Mack alarmed, fighting back with desperate punches: right uppercuts; tidy hooks frequently jolting Lilly, but never stopping her. Bell: combatants separate, glaring hotly at each other...both tremble-tummied, faces pinking up nicely as ref moves in wary.

R2: Lilly stubby-jabs Mack, driving Ali back even as Mack fits Evangeline for a stubby right cross to chin. Ropes - Lilly on top: she reaches under Mack's arms, stacking her ragdoll, then getting back to work. Oh those gut-punches! Mack groaning, folding forward as Lilly pumps 'em in: 'Vangie's brawny shoulders rotating, mitts digging hup-hup-hup as Mack desperately looks to tie up behind elbows. Lilly won't be bound: she bodies Mack to ropes, then plows up her tummy, then rocks her the left uppercut. Mack slumping back into ropes, right at her left shoulder, left across her gut...she's shutting down! Lilly pushing off, getting room to work: she's doubling up hooks/chopping in right hands - everything short, compact in tight. Mack fielding punches off her face/arms/pecs and tummy - there's too much Lilly pouring in! Ali tries the right uppercut, eats a right cross in trade, slumps hurt into ropes. Another stubby right pounds off Mack's face, stunning her: Lilly's back straightens...she starts chopping in straight, palm-down lefts and rights! Stamping, rapid fire assault bashes at Mack's sleepy face...blonde slumping in ropes, staring, arms crossed loose at her body and THE REF STEPS IN! Good lord - TKO2 Evangeline Lilly!

After: Lilly emotional, screaming incoherently in Ali's blinking face until ref pulls her off. Savage encounter sees both girls absorb heavy licks, but Lilly's relentless ferocity simply overwhelms Mack in an unexpectedly brief affair. "I don't tolerate Allison Mack," Lilly says in postfight, still adrenaline-jittery and ferocious. "I went at her like I've rarely gone at anyone before, because everyone was saying what a threat she was to me. I was willing to be knocked out myself tonight if that's what it took: I was willing to take that risk to stop her. Allison's good, but she needs to avoid me from now on, because I'm dialed in. If she keeps trying me, I'll hurt her. Hopefully she got the message tonight."
