Before: Carrere carrying extra weight well for this fight, looks a natural big woman coming in. Huge opportunity for Swanson, who’s no pushover and pundits like Tia’s moxie in taking a very good blonde rather than some ham and egger. Tia in black sports bra, black stretch pants to the ankle, ponytail. Kristy in light blue sports bra, grey stretch pants to the ankle, ponytail.

During R1,2: Tia fools the experts, not to mention her corner, by bodying up on Kristy and fighting the blondes fight. Carrere looking awfully good on the inside, walking Kristy around at will, riding her left arm on Swanson’s shoulder, pulling her into punches and digging the short right hand to the belly, chest and jaw, Swanson busy enough, drops both rounds as Tia has her way.

R3: Tia still shooting the left hand to corral Kristy, then working with the short right inside, and she hurts Kristy early with a pounding right to the breadbasket which puts Swanson on all fours in obvious agony. Swanny up at 8, still grimacing, and she turns away as Tia pounds at the gut with straight right hands, chasing Kristy to the ropes. Tia working slowly, methodically, getting her body on Kristy, riding her deep into the ropes, setting her feet, and getting her hips and legs into every punch thrown as she beats the blonde down with clubbing lefts and rights. Swanson getting worked over, near tears as she covers up, ducks and takes like it’s her birthright.

R4: Tia walks out, bodies up, pushes and bullies her blonde all over the ring as the fight takes on a grinding, one-sided tone. Swanson not just punching, reaching behind Tia’s back to accept the clinch, and getting slowly worn down as Tia concentrates on the torso with both hands. Tia putting either shoulder into Kristy, snaps off clubbing one/twos, then lays again as Swanson seems content to soak up punishment.

R5: Bit of an uprising as Kristy remembers her solid jab, pounding it through Tia’s mitts, and hooking it off Carrere’s thick midriff. Tia now covering up, hunched over, and Kristy gets off ,  pounding wide rights and lefts to Tia’s hips, and coming up the middle with jarring right uppercuts and battering ram jabs. Kristy punching, then laying to push Tia back posts a tough slugging shutout as Carrere takes the round off.

R6: More Kristy as she shocks Tia with that crisp, straight jab, wobbles Tia with firm hooks across the abs, and knocks Carrere sideways with booming right uppercuts on the gloves or shoulders as Tia covers up tight. Tia fighting defensively, can’t get off as Kristy walks her down all over the ring, bashing away with Cro-Magnon lefts and rights to the head, using the shoulder well inside to lever Tia back.

R7: Tia puts down the rebellion committing toe to toe and beating Kristy punch for punch in withering exchanges over first 2/3 of the round. By the final minute, Swanson is discouraged, mouth breathing, and glassy-eyed, and once again Carrere does the shoving and punching with Kristy in retreat..

R8: Tia soaks up the last of Kristy’s resistance as the blonde desperately tries to regain the brunette’s respect. Laying in, heads together, the girls slug it up underneath, lifting their fists into one another’s chests and stomachs, neither taking a step back step attrition starts to tell. Final minute, it’s Swanson who blinks, getting punched back to the ropes. Tia shoulder to shoulder with Kristy, digs a spanking right hand over and over behind Swanny’s left elbow as Kris leans forward, soaking it up to the bell.

R9,10: Tia back on top and loving it, pushing her blonde to the ropes, pounding her into the corners with cuffing right hands, then going to town with beefy 2-fisted brawling at close range. Tia stacks Kristy up in the corners, letting her hands rove across the blonde’s hips and belly as Swanson gurgles and jiggles in pain. Kristy with a bitchy grimace, pushes Tia back more abuse, At the final bell, Tia is all smiles, peeling sweatily away from her battered opponent and strutting insolently as Kristy clutches her battered body in the corner. Unanimous duke. Tia Carrere

After: Surprising bitch-slap for Tia, taking a very good blonde and beating her senseless the old fashioned way. Carrere content to lay in, fight Kristy’s fight, and simply wear her out over the distance in a fight that saw more constant, pounding pressure than any single shot power throughout.
