BBU PRELIMINARY TROUBLE

Jenny Frost representing AA Boxing faces off against Zoe Salmon of the Lioness Club. Jenny is is 1-4-0 while newcomer Zoe is 0-1-0, most odds makers feel this will be an even fight. Jenny is black bra and panties, while Zoe has donned salmon pink bra and panties, both come to the ring brimming with confidence. “I’ve far more experience than Salmon,” says Jenny is preflight, “I’m not expecting this to last very long.” Zoe retorts: “I admit I’m a beginner compared to Jenny, but she’s in for a surprise--I want this win more than she does.”

Round 1:

Jenny wastes little time surging to midring and unleashing a furious barrage of wide left and right swings to the head. Zoe reels back her legs shaking as Jenny stays on the Irish girl now switching to a series of uppercuts and hooks to the belly. Then as Zoe hunches forward to protect her abused midsection, Jenny smacks uppercuts to the chin and Zoe stumbles backwards. Jenny presses her back to the ropes and pounds away to body, Zoe too confused to clinch, can only cover up, her face in gloves, trying to ride out the storm. Jenny working up a real sweat as she blasts shot after shot in Zoe’s ribs. Finally Jenny ducks down to sneak a chin shot up under Zoe’s gloves and the Irish girl’s legs give out. She lands on her butt, draped against the ropes looking forlorn as the ref pushes Zoey back. Looks like the end for The Lioness Club girl--BUT NO! With great determination, Zoe Salmon uses the ropes to pull herself up and beat the count. Referee considers stopping the fight, but Zoe tells the man “BACK OFF! I’M NOT QUITTING!”
Ref waves Jenny in, but Zoe about to get back to midring to avoid the ropes and evades the AA fighter to the bell. Jenny goes back to her stool, she’s hardly been touched this round and grins broadly. Zoe totters back to her stool. She’s a wreck, but stubbornly refuses suggestions from her corner people to consider giving up early.

Round 2

Jenny moves out confidently, expecting to finish that battered Zoe off, but it doesn’t happen. Zoe now unleashes a jab to force Jenny back and shows a good bob and weave to keep the AA boxer from nailing her too hard. Still, Jenny gets more punches landed this round and takes it on cards, but Zoe Salmon’s not going to be as easy as she had expected.

Round 3

Zoe has used the previous round to get her second wind. Now she comes out swinging and Jenny finds herself taking strong right/left combos to the head and body. However Jenny rises to the challenge and it is a furious fought round. The two fighters constantly circle each other, firing in shots, bobbing and weaving, trying to stay out of danger while looking for openings. Jenny works her way in despite the hard Salmon jab and goes the Irish girl’s jaw with some right/left combos of her own. Salmon grits her teeth and counters with intensity. Punch rate rising rapidly. Defense suddenly seems forgotten by both: ZOE GOES DOWN. Scrapping blow across the mouth jerks her head around and she corkscrews onto her face. ZOE BACK UP in 9--and Jenny moves in--she gets caught by the left ear by an avenging Salmon right. JENNY CRASHES TO ALL FOURS! Jenny panting, shaking her head and forcing herself to stand ahead of the referee’s count. Now Zoe rushes in to finish only to get clipped off the chin AND SPILLED TO HER KNEES. Zoe somehow gets back to her feet, but she is reeling. Round ends before the frustrated Jenny can finish.

Round 4

Both fighters have been hurt, but don’t seem to have lost the determination to prevail. Both up off their stools and head right for each other. Crowd roars with excitement as the two exchange rapid-fire blows as they just stand in front of each other and fire away. Something’s got to give--AND IT’S ZOE SALMON! The Lioness Club fighter takes three left/rights to the chin and HER EYES GO BLANK. Jenny shows that killer instinct by heaping shots into the head and face of her helpless foe. ZOE GOES DOWN! Irish girl puddles to her knees and pitches forward as Jenny steps back. Zoe face-on canvas, butt sticking up in the air, but then falls over on her side. Ref counts to 10 and IT’S OVER! Jenny Frost of AA Boxing wins in a KO4!

After: AA girls flood the ring to congratulate Jenny. Zoe Salmon’s Lioness Club friends rush in to assist the dazed young woman back to her stool. Observers think Zoe showed promise, but never really recovered from Jenny Frost’s opening round blitzkrieg. Good win for Jenny who took some hard punching, but held on to finish off a stubborn opponent. Next round beckons for Jenny Frost, while Zoe Salmon glumly ponders her early departure from the tournament
