Prefight comments from Danni

Bunton coming off two straight KO victories over tough opponents should have it over the underdone Naomi Watts.

Round 1

Both girls landing shots through the first minute, Bunton working the body, Watts working upstairs. The tempo is furious through the middle as they slog it out mid ring, looking for the early KO, blasting hooks and jabs at each other. The pace eases late in the round, Watts causing a little bit of damage with some hard body shots.

Danni: Interesting round there sis, I think they got caught up in the moment there, trying to knock each other out.

Kylie: That mid round exchange was brutal, used up a lot of juice there.

Round 2

Bunton in and under the Watts hook LANDS A SOLID RIGHT HOOK to Watts ribcage and she goes weak in the knees, Bunton twists into a CRUNCHING RIGHT HOOK to the jaw and DOWN GOES WATTS! Up at 6 and ON COMES BUNTON, forcing Watts back to the ropes with stiff jabs to the face, Watts head bouncing back and forth, Watts hurt, she falls into the clinch. The ref pulls them apart and Bunton FIRES THE RIGHT HOOK, Watts thrown sideways to the corner, leans back on the apron and cops a flurry of hooks to the ribs. Bunton working the torso then clipping the LEFT UPPERCUT, Watts falls into the clinch again. She hasn’t thrown a punch all round, the ref in close forcing them apart again and checking the eyes. Bunton lands another tidy uppercut at the bell and Watts is in no man’s land.

Kylie: Bell to bell demolition of Naomi Watts by Emma Bunton, I’ll tell you what you can almost hear a pin drop in here.

Danni: Naomi in big trouble.

Round 3

Naomi wanting none of it, dancing away as Bunton comes on strong, firing in right and left hooks. Watts ducking and weaving and clinching, getting the odd body shot it. The ref forces them apart and Bunton gets straight back into those hooks again. But it’s more clinching and clubbing body shots from Watts.
Midway through and Watts is actually now using this clinching technique to her advantage getting in some hard body shots that are causing Bunton. Stiff jabs and uppercuts in close at the Bunton ribcage, then the ref forces them apart. Bunton fighting from the outside now, backing away from Watts and firing the jab from a distance so Watts can no longer clinch. 3 or 4 nice little jabs catch skin and Bunton takes the third. There’s the bell.

Danni: Great decision from Bunton as Watts was getting on top in that round. Watts clinching had the better of her there.

Round 4

Bunton leading with jabs to the head now, has Watts retreating, ducking, diving under to the body. It’s a mirror image of round 1. Watts body shots taking effect, she’s quick on feet this round. Bunton taking hard shots to her ribs until a right jab backs Watts up, she’s hurt, Bunton pounces, firing another left jab that pops Watts head back and she stumbles to the ropes. Bunton comes on strong with a nice combination of hooks to the belly, uppercut to the chin, left hook jaw, RIGHT HOOK BUNTON and DOWN GOES NAOMI WATTS! Naomi real slow to get up here but she is up at 8 and the ref lets it go. She straight away ducks and weaves the Bunton barrage and manages to clinch again. It’s ugly but it is effective. Bunton trying to close but Watts is hanging on and on and Bunton is clearly frustrated at the bell.

Danni: Naomi just doesn’t have the right formula against Bunton.

Kylie: Bunton looks a class or two above tonight.

Round 5:

BUNTON CHARGES IN, catching Naomi by surprise, throwing stiff jabs and catching her twice in the face. Watts backpedalling, no clinching this time as Bunton follows it up with two more nice little jabs that have Watts head bobbing back and fourth. Naomi is shell shocked, hurt, now she is cut, she is not in this fight. Total rout by Emma Bunton, propping her up with the uppercut then blasting the RIGHT JAB in Watts mouth and DOWN SHE GOES AGAIN! Watts on hands and knees appears to be getting up for more and the ref is standing there letting it happen. BUNTON POURS IT ON. Left and rights to the body, pretty little uppercuts propping Watts up, more body work, more uppercuts, a couple of swift jabs knocking the Aussies head over the top rope, Watts arms fall by her side as Bunton just bashes her senseless, RIGHT AND LEFT HOOK to the jaw followed by the RIGHT UPERCUT and DOWN GOES NAOMI WATTS! It’s over!! KO5 Emma Bunton!

Danni: Emma Bunton absolutely clinical in her destruction of Naomi Watts. This right uppercut right here, snapping the head back, oh that slow motion is the ugliest knockdown I have seen since I put Cheryl Cole out last month. Mouth guard ends up in row six and she falls in a heap at Buntons feet.

Kylie: Grave concerns for Naomi Watts. Emma Bunton disappointed that she can’t get in there for a humiliating walk of shame but this is ad break material. We will be back soon, the Lioness Club taking a devastating 1-0 lead.
