BBU Stable Flyweight Tournament: Quarterfinals

The third quarterfinal of the BBU Championship tournament in the flyweight division features Emma Bunton from the Lioness Club (3-0, 3 KO) and Hannah Tointon from Double A Boxing (1-1, 1 KO) who knocked out Pooja Shah in the preliminary round thus scoring her first competitive win. The winner of this bout will face the winner of another quarterfinal between Adele Silva and Gemma Merna in the semifinals.
Emma was awarded a bye into the quarterfinals but wasn't exactly wasting her time as she knocked out Naomi Watts in AWUBA sanctioned event recently.

Both girls enter the ring and stare at each other without much sympathy. Emma performs some shadowboxing waiting for the referee to start the fight which is met with an ironic smile from Hannah:
- Let's just get it on, you old tart!
Round 1:
The bell sounds and Hannah wastes little time squaring up to the older opponent. A nice low combination sends Emma back in her tracks and Hannah follows up with a flying hook that barely misses Bunton's head. Tointon looks impressively aggresive early on but Emma finally reacts to the onslaught and guards well before clinching. Hannah pushes her away and looks angry. She tries some straight jabs at her rival's head, but they miss the target and Emma responds with single jabs to the ribs. Hannah's momentum is briefly over as both girls circle back to center of the ring. Emma delivers a quick low combination to break the stalemate but Hannah is very agile on her feet and blocks that off with ease. More single punches being thrown until the round concludes and Tointon made a better impression of the two.
Round 2:
Tointon comes out fast off the corner again and catches Bunton with a low hook to the ribs. Emma moans in anger and Hannah smiles back at her in delight. She steps forward and delivers a barrage of punches that Emma is just able to avoid by jumping back to the ropes. Hannah is right there against her and looks for more damage. Emma covers the low jabs and responds with a big uppercut that her younger rival never saw coming. Emma's right glove breaks through Hannah's guard and catches her straight in the jaw. Down goes Tointon!!! She wasn't the only one that failed to spot that one coming, the crowd goes silent for a moment before roaring up again. Hannah lands on her butt and looks stunned, but gets up at the six count. It's Bunton's time to smile now as she hassles the briefly stunned foe along the ropes. Several unanswered hooks and jabs land on Hannah's stomach and ribs as she covers her face looking to survive. She manages to do it, but looks much worse for wear at the bell.
Round 3:
Emma starts the onslaught immediately after the bell and pushes her opponent along the ropes. It's getting very one-sided suddenly and Bunton is literally pounding the will to fight out of the continuously shell-shocked Tointon. Forty seconds into the round, Hannah goes down again after Emma catches her with a big left hook to side of the head. Tointon barely beats the eight count and wants to continue waiving her glove in front of the referee. The man in charge looks sceptical at first, but allows her back into this! Emma still clinical in execution doesn't allow her younger foe to catch a breath and immediately pummels her with a barrage of blows to the stomach and face. A couple of monster hooks to the face take the will completely out of Tointon's flesh as she falls back on the ropes and bounces back heading face-first into the canvas. Emma steps back to avoid the falling rival but referee reacts the quickest and catches the motionless Hannah with both his hands before she crashes down and shouts at the delighted Bunton - It's all over, this massacre is over! TKO Emma Bunton R3!!!!
The blonde Spice Girl walks around the ring celebrating her success as the medics attend the helpless Tointon. Her sister Kara is furious ringside and waives her fist at Bunton:
- You will pay me for this! You will regret the day you've decided to mess up with the Tointons!!!
Emma notices Kara in the stands and blows her a kiss to add further insult to injury. As she leaves the ring, Hannah Tointon is slowly brought back into her senses. She enjoyed a promising opening round tonight but never recovered from that uppercut haymaker that rocked her midway through the second.
Final result: Emma Bunton def. Hannah Tointon TKO3.
