BBU Stable Lightweight Tournament: Semi-Finals

The first fight in the Semi Finals of the Lightweight tournament featues Lisa Maffia of Beever's Babes taking on Rosamund Pike of Foxfire Atlantic. Lisa defeated Jenny Frost to make it to this round, knocking her out in the fourth round, while Rosamund beat Sarah Manners by fourth round KO as well.

Lisa enters first, looking great in a pale blue bikini, while Rosamund looks good in a black one-piece.

Round 1:

It's Lisa that starts the round off quick, moving in quickly and catching Rosamund with a few jabs to the face before she can even throw her arms up to block. When she does, however, that just opens up her tummy, Lisa immediately seeing the opportunity and switching low, firing punches in rapid succession that back Rosamund up to the ropes. She keeps her guard high, choosing to absorb the punishment to the body instead of chancing an opportunity at her face, but she pays for it, as Lisa begins to sink crushing uppercuts into her stomach, nearly doubling the girl and causing her arms to drop, and then being caught flush with an uppercut to the chin! Rosamund is down, but she's not out, getting up shakily at 7 and covering up by the ropes for the rest of the round.

Big round for Lisa, who has established a pace Rosamund can't seem to match.

Round 2:

Lisa's out quick again, returning to the body. Rosamund tries to make some distance, firing out a tentative jab or two, and finally manages to put some space between them as Lisa seems to be scouting for another opportunity. Rosamund continues with her jab, catching Lisa with the occasional shot, though they're mostly ineffective for more than keeping the distance. Suddenly, Lisa moves in again, deflecting a jab and moving to the left, catching Rosamund with a hard left hook to the ribs, then moving up top and splitting her gloves with a hard jab that snaps her head back and sends her wilting to the mat! Again she manages to beat the count, up at 8, but she's simply desperate to get through the round, now, clinching to the bell.

Another big round for Lisa. It may be over soon.

Round 3:

Lisa moving straight in again, and BAM! A wild right hook from Rosamund manages to catch her square, almost flooring her! Now it's Lisa's turn to backpedal, being pushed back to the ropes as Rosamund summons up new strength to fire jabs and combinations into Lisa's face, causing her to try desperately to cover up... And now it's Rosamund that goes tummy, sinking hard rights deep into Lisa's gut. Lisa groans, hunching forward, but Rosamund straightens her up with her left hand, then sinks a hard uppercut into her gut. Now it's Lisa's turn to clinch, desperately, Rosamund trying her best to shake her off, but she survives to the bell.

Lisa got a little too eager, as Rosamund takes the round in a big way.

Round 4:

Rosamund moves more quickly, confident, now, as Lisa looks frustrated. The two meet in the center of the ring and sparks fly, all strategy being thrown out the window as each girl simply begins to slug on the other! They trade rights and lefts, neither seeming to get the better of the other, until finally Rosamund connects with a hard jab that wobbles Lisa's knees. She then goes low, catching Lisa with a stiff uppercut to the gut that cripples the girl, sending her down to all fours! Lisa clutches at her stomach, pounding the mat with her right hand, then forcing herself to her feet at the count of 8. Rosamund moves back in, pounding her to the body through the bell.

Another big round for Rosamund. She may have turned things around.

Round 5:

Rosamund comes in quickly, but Lisa tries desperately to keep space, choosing to protect her body whenever Rosamund gets in too close and taking the occasional jab to the face. With each jab to the face, however, Lisa becomes more aggressive, now actively counter-punching with surprising power whenever Rosamund gets too close and tries to lead in. One particular jab shakes Rosamund, setting her up to be caught with a hard right hook, though Lisa doesn't follow up. Now it's Rosamund's turn to be careful, as the girls circle each other for the last part of the round, throwing the occasional punch but not landing much, neither wanting to open themselves up for more punishment.

Close round. Rosamund seems worried that Lisa still has gas in the tank.

Round 6:

The round starts off with each girl keeping her distance, looking for an opportunity to strike... And Lisa finds it! As Rosamund extends herself a little too far with a jab, Lisa's able to come around and counter with a hard right hook, stumbling the girl, and then following it up with a quick one-two combination that straightens her back up. Rosamund tries to hold her arms up, but Lisa splits them with a hard jab that snaps her head back and drops her arms, Rosamund being beaten into the corner, her arms hanging limply at her side as Lisa goes to town on her, the referee finally stepping in to end it!

Lisa Maffia stopped Rosamund Pike in the sixth round.

Lisa Maffia manages to pull off a victory that could have truly gone either way, both girls often coming within moments of putting the other away, the bell often playing savior. She moves on to the Finals to face the winner of Karolina Kurkova and Rochelle Wiseman.
