These two girls really don’t like each other, and each of them has vowed to knock the other out. Suranne has said that Sabrina needs to learn some manners, and that she will be teaching her some in this fight. Sabrina is disappointed that her favourite post fight ritual of leashing the girls she has beaten has been outlawed in this tournament.

Suranne is first into the ring, wearing a red bikini, and is soon joined by Sabrina, looking sullen in a black bikini.

Round 1

Sabrina is quicker to react to the first bell, and she lands the first shots, heavy left and right hooks to Suranne’s face, which have the actress on the backfoot, retreating to the ropes immediately, with Sabrina following in, not the start she wanted, but she fights back well, thudding a series of punches into Sabrina’s face as the champion carries her gloves way too low, and now she’s the one backing off, with Suranne taking her chance to give her a few in the ribs, too, and the singer takes a couple of good digs to her flanks before the end of this first round.

Round 2

The girls come out for the second with Suranne looking to press home the advantage, and she comes looking for Sabrina, something the singer isn’t used to, and the girls trade punches in the centre of the ring, a trade in which Suranne comes a poor second, and Sabrina belts her head from side to side with vicious punches, putting her on the floor with a left hook to the jaw. Suranne is dazed, but is up at 7, then gets hurt with a straight right to the mouth, and another hook, before getting slammed to the ropes then hurt some more to the ribs as Sabrina takes control of her for the rest of the round.

Round 3

Sabrina greets Suranne with a hard right hook to the mouth, then whips two solid lefts into her body, before left hooking her to the face, the actress now shaking at the knees, and clinching stay in there. Sabrina pushes her back, then gets her with that right hook again, and another, and Jones is cut – Sabrina’s opened her left cheek up, and she seeks the cut out, sending the actress spinning away, before sending a crashing left into her ribs and a straight into her mouth, which sends her sprawling to the ropes, ready to go, but the referee wants to take a look at that cut cheek, and this buys Jones the time to recover, even though she gets punished to the body again when they resume, once again clinching and holding to the close of the round.

Round 4

Suranne is looking fairly sorry for herself now, and Sabrina just pumps shots onto that split cheek, stunning her next with a right hook to the jaw, then ripping a left to her body, and another, then the hook to her jaw again, and down goes Suranne, hardly stirring as Sabrina marches into the Welterweight final.

Sabrina Washington knocked Suranne Jones out in round 4.

Sabrina was just cold and efficient in the ring tonight, and it’s hard to see how anybody can prise her title off her.
