Sophie has not enjoyed much success in BBU to date, even though she has boxed stylishly, but she could be quite a test for Pippa who needs to return to winning ways after her recent run of defeats,

Sophie is first into the ring in white bikini top and red mini skirt, soon joined by Pippa in a white one-piece. Both girls are tall and willowy, and seem well matched.

Round 1

The fight starts fairly slowly, with neither girl willing to show too much aggression, and their defensive abilities aren’t tested until just past the midpoint, when Pippa snaps out of her torpor and jabs Sophie to the face, the singer reeling backwards, then coming back to trade. Pippa hits Sophie to the body late on, but at the end of the round neither of the girls seems to have given much of themselves.

Round 2

Again, the girls start rather cagily, not hitting each other enough to impose themselves on the other girl, but it’s Pippa who starts to take the fight to Sophie as the round progresses, landing some good jabs to the singer’s face and she is getting knocked into the ropes, but, when Pippa comes in to follow up, she belts the girl across the face, left and right, and Pippa drops to her knees, all messed up. Pippa’s up at 5, looking determined, but she has to atke a few more shots from Sophie before the bell.

Round 3

Sophie comes out to give Pippa a little more punishment, but Middy’s ready for her, and the girls are both back into their natural boxing stances before long, with Pippa using her strength to outbox Sophie. The singer is mainly having to defend in this round, almost giving it to Pippa, who is very active, and hurting her opponent with some nice hooks into her body in the later moments.

Round 4

Pippa is now boxing really well, her neat jabs are smacking into Sophie’s face, slipping inside her guard and reddening her face, grazing her cheek as the leather pounds her skin. Once again, Pippa hurts Sophie to the body, and she’s beginning to slow the singer down more and more as the round wears on, and she begins to look more forlorn as she finds herself on the ropes, where Pippa wipes her across the mouth with a left hook, then spanks her nose with a right, and Sophie’s down, nostrils streaming blood, but up at 8 to face her foe, even though there’s nowhere for her to go but backwards as Middy storms forwards, the singer clinging on at the bell.

Round 5

Off her stool and attacking, Pippa is keen to press home her advantage, but Sophie isn’t finished yet, and the singer shocks her by firing three good punches into her face, then starts touching her up to the body once she has her on the ropes. Middy’s unhappy, but she isn’t able to offer much back as the hard working Sophie lands some good blows to her flanks, trying to bring her gurad down, and, in the closing seconds, she catches Pippa with a glancing blow to her left eyebrow, which immediately starts lumping up, and may cause Middy some trouble soon.

Round 6

Pippa’s eye seems OK, but Sophie is after it, and she tries hard to flip right hand punches into the younger girl’s face. Sadly for her, she pays little attention to her own defence, and Pippa thuds two hard left hooks into her midriff, then really gets to her with a right to the jaw, and Sophie stumbles to the floor again, her face a mask of pain as she takes an 8 count once more. Pippa now tries to repeat the treatment, but maybe she’s a little too eager, as she loses her rhythm, and it’s Sophie looking the better boxer at the bell, albeit a bruised and bloodied one.

Round 7

Coming in quickly, Pippa rips some more good punches into Sophie’s face, looking for the spectacular, but the singer clinches and holds, frustrating the hell out of Middy, who’s tugging herself free, pushing and punching away at Sophie while the older girl is content to weather the storm and survive. The longer the round lasts, the more annoyed Pippa becomes, as she’s the only girl throwing punches, but too many of them are being blocked for her to damage Sophie.

Round 8

Pippa lands a good right hook to Sophie’s mouth very early in the round, and the singer is already back into her routine of holding, but she spots that Pippa is getting careless, and whips two good shots into her ribs, opening her up a little, then she finds Middy’s damaged eye again, and she hits it hard with two, three right hooks, the younger girl beginning to buckle, and it’s her turn to hold and clinch, her eye swelling badly, and half closed by the closing seconds, which she spends up against the ropes, taking punishment to the body as Sophie tries to soften her up.

Round 9

The girls must be tired, but they’re exchanging punches in mid-ring at the start of the round, right up until Pippa lands a good one to Sophie’s mouth, and that almost takes her down, the singer dazed and holding onto Pippa, shaking her head to clear it as she gazes over Middy’s shoulder. The girls are parted and in comes Pippa again, takes another heavy shot to her eye, but still gets through to Sophie, landing to her ribs and belly, and she has the girl hurt and defending again, gloves upside her head as she plunges forwards into her.

Round 10

There’s mutual respect now, but that doesn’t stop Pippa hammering more punches into Sophie’s slender ribcage from the bell, and she’s got the singer teetering and on the brink of defeat by the midpoint, lighting her up with some hard punches to the face as well, both her cheeks swollen and bruised. Sophie tries to fight back, but her legs have all but gone, and the best she can do is to hold onto Middy, wrap her up, and stop her from landing the big punch she needs to finish her off. The bell ends the fight with Sophie swooning on the ropes, and she has to be helped to her corner at the end.

Pippa Middleton gets a wide points victory over Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Pippa showed her power in that fight, but her defence still needs work if she’s to progress and beat better girls in the BBU.
