Champion Michelle needs no reminders that Adele knocked her out in three rounds last time they met, in the formative months of the BBU, when public post-fight humiliation was the order of the day, and thinking of what Adele put her through after that fight has spurred her on ever since. She wants revenge for the defeat, but knows that any post-fight celebration of the type Adele used to mete out is now very much frowned upon as the BBU seeks to be more legitimate. For her part, Adele just longs to wear the BBU belt, and she has trained so hard for this fight, winning both her fights to date in this tournament against the odds.

Adele is first into the ring, and the girl just can’t help herself – she’s wearing a pink basque type top and pink knickers, and the fans are still cheering her when Michelle enters the ring, looking more serious and business-like in her black bikini, but still her body is , well, just wow!

Round 1

Adele is quicker in the opening seconds, looking to impose herself on Michelle early, and she lands a few nice blows in the champion’s face, keeping the younger girl moving around the ring, forcing her to defend. Michelle is taken aback by Adele’s aggression, and finds it tough to repel the blonde, her technique looking shabby as the challenger gets inside and clubs three good left hooks in at her body, then swipes another hard across her mouth, sending the brunette backwards, covering up as Adele gets in close to have another good go at hitting her around the ribs before the bell.

Round 2

Michelle was dominated in the first round, but she is the girl upping the tempo in the second, pushing Adele backwards and finding her face nicely with her left lead. Michelle has a slight height advantage, and now she uses it well, boxing Adele at range and not allowing the older actress to get inside, knowing that’s how she wants to get on top. It’s not easy to keep up the momentum, but Michelle does it, and by the end of the round she has Adele looking a little untidy, constantly having her head knocked back as Michelle’s punches smack into her reddening face.

Round 3

The round picks off where the second ended, with Michelle bobbing around on her toes, working Adele around the ring, whilst the blonde is still trying to get inside. Michelle moves Adele around and onto the ropes, where she gets her nicely with a one- two to the mouth, but Silva’s wise to her tactic, and clinches hard, taking the chance to turn Keegan around, push her up against the ropes, and fire into her body, her leather gloves smacking onto the champs tanned flesh, hurting her. Michelle’s leaning forwards as she tries to absorb Adele’s attack, exposing her chin, and up comes the left uppercut, right into her face, and Michelle’s down, crumpling forwards onto the canvas, taking a count of 7. It’s all Adele for the rest of the round as she lays into Michelle’s body, and the champion is dazed as she wanders back to her stool.

Round 4

Michelle seems to have recovered her composure, but she’s not on her toes when the bell restarts the action, and this lets Adele in at her again, the blonde sending her backwards again with a little burst to the ribs. Michelle’s clinching and holding inside, needing to tire Adele out if she can, but the older girl is still landing, then knocks her backwards with a good salvo of punches to the face, after which Keegan is bleeding from the nose, and her left cheek is reddened and swelling. There are some tough moments for Michelle here as Adele bumps her backwards, and one she gets the brunette on the ropes, she punishes her to the body, the champion gasping as the round comes to a close.

Round 5

Adele attacks Michelle immediately, ripping into the younger girl’s body again, and forcing her to defend, back against the ropes while she slams left and right hooks into her flesh. Although she’s hurt, Michelle grits her teeth, and she fights back like a true champion, hitting Silva in the face with good, solid, straight punches, and the older girl has to back off, covering her head as Keegan hits her, staying wary, too, and not letting the blonde get to work on her body again. This is a good recovery by the brunette, and she is regaining her confidence as she pulls Adele around the ring and has the girl hurt and bruising up by the bell.

Round 6

Adele is trying to slow the tempo of this fight down at this stage, and she’s no longer trading blows with the taller girl, looking more anxious to wrap the girl up inside, using energy to wrestle her, but sapping Michelle’s too, and the champion gets a little flustered, then picks up a warning from the referee for pushing, and for rabbit punching. Adele’s spoiling tactics are working, but Michelle is strong, and she rips that powerful left lead into the blonde’s mouth, crosses her with her right to the jaw, and Silva crumbles, her knees just fold up and she’s on the canvas, rising shakily at 6. Michelle senses she has a chance to do some damage now, and she bops Adele’s head to the left and right, but gets herself turned again near the end of the round, and takes a few good ones to the gut.

Round 7

Michelle looks tired as they resume, but she gets some nice little left handers into Adele’s face in the early exchanges, only to be rebuffed by the blonde who starts on her body again, those powerful hooks to the flanks beginning to take their toll, slowing her down. Michelle is forced to hold after she takes a heavy shot to the belly, and she’s still clinching when Adele clips her with a good short right hook to the eye, a kind of chopping punch, which opens a cut just below the eye itself, which sends her wheeling backwards. On the ropes and wounded, Michelle takes more punishment to the body, but stubbornly fights back, bouncing some nice punches off Adele’s face as the blonde comes in too close, her own face very bruised as the round draws to a close.

Round 8

The girls are both a little slower into their moves this time, both really tired, but Michelle lands her left jab nicely in Adele’s mouth, the older girl grunting as she’s almost being sat down by the champion’s efforts, and Michelle slowly but surely closes the blonde down, moving her onto the ropes, taking her turn to land bodyshots. Keegan lands well to the challenger’s ribs, but she’s getting too close, and Silva lets her have two, three, four banging punches to her face, the blood now flowing from the brunette’s eye and nose, then, as Michelle raises her gloves, Adele nails her to the belly, giving herself a pretty much free hit with her right hand to the champ’s jaw, and she drops her with a lovely right hook. Groggily, Michelle regains her feet at 8, but her strength is ebbing away from her, and she just can’t keep the rampant Adele off, as the little blonde does her best to finish the fight off in the closing stages, the younger girl just about surviving without further knockdowns.

Round 9

It’s hard to see a way back for Michelle now, and Adele is certainly in control, ripping into her aching body from the bell again, flanks and belly both taking a beating, and Michelle gasps, gets pummelled back into her own corner, her arms slowly falling lower. Adele is setting herself now, grinning though swollen lips as she lets Michelle have a couple of heavy right hooks to the side of her head, and finishes the defenceless brunette off with that left uppercut, ripping her head back and sending her sliding down the ropes.

Adele Silva knocked Michelle Keegan out in round 9 to become the new BBU Flyweight champion.

There’s huge celebration in the Kear’s Kats corner as the stable takes its first title, and Adele is weeping tears of joy at taking the title at last. Poor Michelle Keegan’s reign as champion is over, and she’s on her way to hospital, but she’ll be back. Tonight Adele deserved to win, especially given that she’d also beaten the highly rated Gemma Merna and Emma Bunton to get to the final.
