BEFORE: FIGHTING INGENUE pulling out all the stops - trumpeting this fight as Nina's chance to finally assert her prettiness over Minka, and prove that thirty-something Kelly can't compete in the space. "Minka doesn't want a 'who's prettier' rivalry with me," Nina smirks confidently at dais. "She's in her thirties...I'll be RETIRED before I hit thirty...Minka knows her looks can't hold up against mine over time. That's why I need to beat her up now - while some people still think she IS pretty. I don't see it myself, but a lot of 'prettiness' polls put us neck and neck, so it's a good chance for me to separate myself from her." Kelly demure, focussed in rebuttal. "Nina's right," Minka allows, causing crowd-buzz. "I don't want a 'who's prettier' rivalry with her: I want a 'who's the better woman' rivalry. The kind of rivalry you settle with your fists and heart. Nina IS very pretty, I'll give her that...but is her best day really any better than mine? I don't think so. What I KNOW is that Leighton and I BOTH bullied Nina on-set of The Roomate, and that's what you'll see in this fight. A pound of me is worth more than a pound of her...that's all there is to this! Plus I'm prettier." Minka in neon baby blue bikini top; bottoms with horizontal bars of baby blue and navy; small powder-blue gloves; ponytail with bracket-bangs curving around her face. Nina in neon baby blue sport top; midnight blue bikini bottoms; small white gloves; hair in high ponytail with bangs bracketing face. Furious, pouting stare-down midring...both girls insufferably pretty.

During R1: Minka hopping aggressively at Nina, carrying a sidearm right into Neen's ribs, then stiff-jabbing her breasts. Nina scowling, legging away from pressure...she's pinging out a backhand jab up high to Minka's pate - Dobrev often punching off the back (right) leg as she's leaning away to create maximum distance. Kelly the more spirited, active vixen, chopping and hacking at Nina's midsection for points in a brisk first.

R2: Same story - Minka the aggressor, hunting body; Nina the negotiator, just looking to establish timing and distance. Mink a vicious little bully in spots - chopping palm-up left hooks across Nina's flat tummy; whipping that sidearm right into Dobrev's ribs...Kelly smirking as she walks a distressed Nina D down for most of the round.

R3: Nina clever, pinging out that high-angle jab - her elbow up, fist back-hand flicking at Minka's hairline. Nina flat-footed in spots, stiff-legged - tapping at Minka's pate, then leaning weight onto right (back) leg to keep distance. Nina's left hand a real nuisance - always chip-jabbing or cuff-hooking at Minka, keeping her defensive. Nina gently sliding to her right, turning Minka, picking and poking her for points as Kelly gets to the ribcage only rarely this round.

R4: More of that pesky Nina - keeping that pinging left in Minka's face. Kelly bobbing on the spot - trying to step her left foot forward and drive-in righty, but Nina's being leggy and cute - not ashamed to skip out of range when Minka's looking to work. Down the stretch, Mink landing a strafing, harsh right cross on Minka's chin, getting Kelly's attention: Nina's eyes pitiless as she dials in her power.

R5: Minka spitting jabs/bobbing on approach...she's getting in closer, carrying that swinging right into Nina's ribs to start the exchanges. Dobrev grimacing, legs slowing: more and more she's forced to issue the right-uppercut as Minka's closing before Nina can get distance. Kelly busy out of the bob: stubby jabs stamping Nina's jugs; whippy right hands looping 'round Nina's left elbow to spank ribs; carving palm-up left hooks chopping at Nina's belly. Dobrev relentlessly hacked upon her waist/torso...grimly giving ground while trying to lash back rangy rights and lefts. Down the stretch...Minka leans in via a straight, poking lead-right to mouth, startling Nina into upright position: clip-across palm-down hook toggles Nina's chin and SITS HER DOWN! Nina D scooting to her rear, her face the very picture of shock: Minka all seething, glaring down with hardhearted eyes.

Meester tweets during the break: "Nina can't take Minka's punch. I can. That means I'm better than either."

R6: Gut-check time for Nina: she's still a little frazzled and woozy - easy for Mink to jab her ropeside, set up big-girl and work away! Minka: bobbing on the spot - scrubbing top of her head against Nina's breasts to keep her pinned down; short, snatching right/lefts off Nina's tummy; sudden, clouting hooks to chin up top; looping palm-down rights parked in behind Nina's left elbow. Nina: grimacing, legs getting buzzed every once in a while...she just can't get her butt out of the ropes under Minka's pressure. Dobrev surviving by clasping hands behind Minka's head and pulling down; tying up behind elbows, resting against ropes with Minka pulled in tight for breaks. Bell to bell Minka: she pushes up off Nina all "I'm big" at bell, making Dobrev take weight.

Elisha tweets: "Minka can't punch: I'd have had Neens outta there by now!"

R7: Nina regroups, competes. Legs stiff as she executes heel-and-toe shuffling footwork to her left. Right at jug-height; left a little lower/a little forward; eyes blazing. Nina sticking Minka stiff, poking little lefts and rights - good sticky jab; pokey straight right. Every once in a while, Nina will get bendy - leaning torso-forward while whipping the right hand wide to Minka's left flank: Kelly covering up, staying low to receive these blows in her ribs. Nina completely renegotiates terms with the chipping, sticky staccato punching...Kelly outboxed midring by the CW showstopper.

R8: Girls trading sticky pokes midring...Nina flat footed, chin tucked as she feeds Minka jolting lefts and rights: Minka bobbing; locating Nina's breasts via straight lead-right; coming over the top via palm-down clip-across hooks. Prettiest girls in boxing chipping viciously at offending faces - both girls landing PIK! PAK! Down the stretch, Nina rips a licking left uppercut to Minka's chin and KELLY GOES WOBBLY BUTT! Minka suddenly helpless, baby-stepping forward all eyes-wide: Nina resets her feet, bares her teeth, arches her back and RIPS the lanky left uppercut in-and-out against Minka's sternum. Gasp of pain, Minka Kelly...curvy legs hold her up as she's backing away, hugging a throbbing bod. Bell: Minka in tears, still hugging herself; Nina making glaring eye contact as ref eases her away from doing something stupid.

Elisha Tweets: "Minka's hurt! YAY!"

R9: Minka shakes off hurt, proves plucky. Bobbing on approach - that back (right) foot well behind her as she moves forward...she's drilling lead rights to Nina's chest; turning over wicked hooks up top to keep Dobrev backpedaling. Nina leggy, limber as she lopes away...she's looking for spots to step back in and work: Minka crouches down/covers up as lanky girl paints away, then Kelly answers via heavy, biting hooks to chin, punching Dobrev back. Bitter, hard-hitting stuff both ways...Minka a little more bullheaded and stubborn, bangs out the points. Both girls looking scuffed and puffy on the stools: each vixen more than willing to take one on the face if she can land something of her own.

R10: Minka working right/lefts to the waist, backing Nina up under heavy fire. Dobrev clinching at the ropes, getting the break: she's mouth-breathing, wincing, feeling the hurt. Midway through...Nina roaming to her right anticipates Minka perfectly: Dobrev sliding back a half-step, setting weight on right leg and RIPPING a snappy left hook to Minka's chin...KELLY'S HURT! Minka stepping in fence post holes, trying to keep herself together: Nina in wide stance, pops hips-right, arches her back and HEAVES in the lanky left uppercut once, twice to Minka's trembling gut. Curvy legs hold Kelly up...she crosses arms against her tortured middle, bobbing her way forward. Nina retreating in good order, pinging the left jab off Minka's pate; sizing Minka up for slinging right crosses...Dobrev's legs in control down the stretch as she turns counter-clockwise at the ropes, luring Minka forward. Bell: Nina lands a vindictive slap-chopping right down atop Minka's breasts...ref has to break up a whirling catfight as tempers flare. Comes back 5 rounds a piece, but the knockdown gives it to Minka UD10.

AFter: Nina heartbroken, blinking away tears as Minka's hand is raised...lanky CW showstopper gave Kelly all she could handle, but Mink's heavy hands proved the difference. "It was like when I fought Leighton over 16 rounds," Minka says in postfight - face all scuffed from Nina's determined work. "When it comes down to will and competitive spirit - I'm better than these girls. Nina wanted it - I could see how hungry she was, but I just wouldn't let her have it. I'm prettier; I'm better...Minka's just going to have to find a way to deal with that. You know: like Leighton did!"
