Before: JMAC back, hungry for work and looking to be dominant on rusty, aging beach babe Trickey. Paula a classic underachiever—career derailed in the amateurs by Halle Berry—as much raw potential as any big fighter’s ever had, now scrounging for short money and TV spots as a pretty opponent. Paula with big win pedigree (Nolin, Berry)n but out of the bring for over a year—most peg her the fog coming in, Mac in pink and pastel blue splash print underwire bikini, Paula in navy bikini, sport cut top, Fought outdoors. So Cali Beach n’ Bleachers.

During R1: Mac with the right hand up, weight on the right foot. Patiently running Paula onto the jab and bringing the brunette to heel in the first minute. Trickey touched up, goes to an earmuff defense, midring—Jenny steps in close to work. Tight, bashing, strokes to the flanks put Trickey against the ropes—Jenny near but not smothering, blonde really getting off stout, placing her shots a methodical pace, Trickey stooped over and stiff late—Mac nice and compact in a slight crouch, picking Paula up and over with a little fishhook right uppercut, fitting it into the chest, between the mitts, in the body—Trickey bent over and taking without answering.

R2: Paula warmed up, hands at temples, she advances behind a dropping jab from the guard, bobbing her upperbody behind short hooks and tough right hands to back Mac up early, Jenny showing good, economical leg—she’s stepping left, gently turning Trickey around the ring, timing her own stamping jab in to break down brunette rhythm, Second minute, Jenny able to step in and ream a straight right hand to jug—harsh, spanking pancake blasts Paula back away from in pain. Jenny all forward momentum now, crouching in tight, bouncing bang-bang off the body, then hammering away with gusto as Trickey sits in the ropes, Mac finishing up with the workmanlike right uppercuts as Paula covers up and folds forward—Jenny’s glove thumping brutally into her girl, really using Trickey up.

R3: Jenny set up to jab again, good stance, right hand up—Trickey just wasn’t expecting the boxing look and she’s getting her face spanked. Mac gets control, movies in as Paula does nothing to maintain distance--Jenny getting short, savage licks on Trickey’s ribs and waistline to force another sullen retreat. Final minute, Paula sluggish and taking on the ropes—Mac amazingly disciplined—she’s just romancing Trickey’s body with hard, controlled punching, beating the woman’s sides and back, picking her up with short, curling rights up the middle. Paula forlorn at the bell—Jenny’s braking her down.

R4: Jenny startling Paula with stiff, stubby stick, but this time moves in behind a short, slightly wide right on the chin that catches Trickey looking. Comical step-away as Paula’s legs go funky—she wanders to her left, then hops crazily to all fours with Mac bearing down. Trickey with a woozy 8—on comes Mac! Jenny opening up now, fearless, swinging at the body, swinging at the chin as Trickey wilts to her right along the ropes, Hammering overhand rights upside the head drive Paula to her knees in a neutral corner—Mac lording it over her for a moment, taunting as the ref gets involved. Trickey pulling herself together, blinking back tears—Jenny bulls in—another crashing overhand right—banging double hooks—Trickey desperately clinching as her legs give way. Ref breaks, pushes jenny back—Mac calms down, crouches back in close. All happens so quick: Trickey ducks to her left, Jenny swivels into a tight right hand as she ducks to HER left—clipping chin-shot sinks Trickey to a seat on the bottom strand where she freezes then reclines out onto the apron. Stunning KO4 Jenny McCarthy.

After: Trickey totally stretched out—the very dictionary definition of Tits Up. What a performance for Jenny Mac—consistent, muscular bombardment of a usually very durable brunette. “Sure Trickey’s rusty and not as sharp as she could have been,” says one commentator, “but jenny beat that woman about as systematically and thoroughly as a woman can be beat. Trickey just looked like she didn’t know what was happening in there today.”
