Before: Polar opposite style match up--the brawling wildness of Gena versus the shifty southpaw smooth of Sophie--it’s a classic bull and matador pairing. Nolin with more variety now, has shortened up on her punches but still has a penchant for wildness that Sophie should be able to take advantage of. Then again, Nolin as made a career out of disrupting the timing of slick boxers--boils down to execution. Nolin in yellow bikini, black mesh to a high neck, Sophie in electric blue bikini, high neck.

During R1: Nolin wading into her foe with a crunching 3 punch salvo low buckles Sophie’s legs and drives the brunette to the ropes in agony. A sweeping flurry of left and rights drubs the French girl to her hands and knees and Gena grins in triumph as she has her opponent hurt, down, to begin the bout. Sophie tries to get it together, but she’s had her bell rung--just laying in with Nolin and making her shorten up her strokes inside. Nolin pumping her shots, works left and right uppercuts in on Sophie’s midsection, wrestling the French girl’s arms out of the way as Marceau looks to clinch.

R2: Marceau still wincing, tries to bend under Nolin’s sweeping left, but Gena tags her repeatedly with straight rights up the middle, driving Sophie into retreat. Marceau going defensive, covering up on the ropes, just moving her head inside of Nolin’s swings to make the blonde miss--but Gena reefing to the body piles up the points in banging Marceau for another shutout.

R3: Sophie starts to do her thing, pawing the right jaw, then covering up, dipping under Nolin’s shots and nibbling at the blonde with whipping left counters to the waist. Nolin showing surprising balance, still getting of with those straight lead rights and making Sophie trade more than she wants to. Good two-way action round. Nolin taking the points.

R4: Gena walking out of her corner with her hands low, strides into a sucker right hand, bringing rthe punch off her thigh and dropping it onto a shocked Sophie Marceau’s chin and dropping the French girl to her butt with the rounds first punch. Sophie up at 8--Nolin immediately going to the clinch,  bogging the brunette down in cloying head and arm locks--ref working overtime to break the girls up. Sophie frustrated with all the holding and in the final minute, Nolin surprises Marceau with a chopping right on the cheek, stepping around and slinging in the left hook on the eye to bust Sophie up. Round ends with Marceau laying on the ropes, just trying to survive as Nolin chugs away with whipping lefts and rights to the bell--cutmen go to work as Marceau looks banged up through 4.

R5: Another shutout round for Nolin as Sophie spends a lot of time being cute against the ropes. Marceau with her chin tucked and gloves up is able to slip or block most of Nolin;s leather, but gena lee showing the second dimension rips heavy lefts and rights against Sophie’s gut, admiring the loud smack as the brunette grunts in pain. Not enough back from Marceau as Nolin grins at the bell, practically skipping back to her corner.

R6: Gena opens the round with another sucker lead right, just walking towards Marceau with hands at her side, then uncoiling her whole body behind the punch to catch Sophie leaning to the left.  Marceau dropped to her butt again, slaps the canvas in frustration as nolin is finding her so much more often than expected. Another big round for Nolin unfolds as frustrated Sophie turns puncher, trying to change things up,  but Gena Lee continues scoring with snapping punches from either side. Sophie swaying at the bell--she’s starting to drift as Nolin continues to roll.

R7: Finally some offense from Marceau as she drops the jab out from the elbow, almost Bronco McKart style, standing in front of Gena and beating her to the punches, just twisting her torso to land short strokes on the blonde. Nolin taking punches o give them, but Marceau has position, getting that lead foot outside of Gena’s, landing the right hook flush on the jaw, and scoring with sweeping lefts to Nolin’s jugs.

R8: Nolin goes back to the spearing lead right, and Marceau goes back into her shell, allowing Gena Lee room to extend and time to wind up, Once again, Sophie does a good job defensively--she’s not hurt, but Nolin getting off with these big, flashy punches, plus scoring a long, loud left hook across Marceau’s tummy--Sophie’s not giving the judges any choice. Gena banking a shutout and punctuating the round with a late crotch tap, folding Sophie over with a cry and prompting a strong finger waggle from the ref.

R9: Sophie leaning to her left, slips the left hook, but doesn’t get away from that uncanny straight right as Gena Lee jams the fist into the side of Sophie’s head. Marceau taking little steps to regain her balance--but she’s hurt and fighting desperate once again as gena lee pours it on. Nolin looking for an angle, steps to her left and continues sticking that right hand into Sophie’s jaw as the brunette leans over--Sophie lumping badly around her eyes as Nolin continues to lay it on.

R10: Shutout Gena Lee Nolin who comes out looking for th knockout like a hungry rookie seeking to make a good impression. All Marceau can do is set up at the ropes, keep her guard high and move her head--she’s too discouraged o counter after eating round after around of sharp punching from Gena. Nolin with a big smile, slashes at Sophie’s sides, torquing her punches at the brunettes body, and trying to work an uppercut in between the mitts. Nolin solving some of the elusiveness by holding and hitting, pulling Sophie’s head forward with the right with jamming left hands into the gut and trunks of the brunette--Marceau groaning, slumping into Nolin’s arms with the punishment, bell sounds to end the mugging as Nolin bats away at Marceau’s exposed back--French girl bent over her knees, ready to go to all fours when the ref steps in to end the carnage. Huge one-sided decision Gena Lee Nolin.

After: Bit of a shocker--a lot of experts had Marceau pegged to upset Nolin, but Sophie proved unable to take the power, unwilling to pay the price, and in the end, taking the worst beating of her career., Gena Lee decisions by this wide a margin--she completely controlled Sophie Marceau, perhaps carrying her after knockdowns to pile on the punishment. Sophie launching formal protests after the bout, saying Gena’s constant low blowing sapped her legs and stamina, but the line forms on the right as Sophie joins the ranks of the outraged.
