BBU VS TEAM CANADA

There's some urgent talk in Team Canada corner before the third fight of the night as another of their newcomers, Kim Poirier takes on another Kear's Kats girl with a negative record, Helen Flanagan. After witnessing Nadine Coyle knocking out Emilie Ullerup in comprehensive fashion, the Canadians and Poirier herself look concerned and there are some last-minute changes in the tactics about to happen. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division
Kim Poirier wearing a white bikini and black gloves. Helen Flanagan wearing a navy blue bikini and black gloves.
Round 1: Incredible start from the Canadian who lands a big punch straight to Flanagan's face and follows up with a nasty jab to the guts. Coach Amanda Tapping is up on her feet in Poirier's corner and the charge continues as Kim launches heavy blows to her opponent's face and body. Helen covers up and backs away, being unable to land a single punch as Poirier swarms all over her. Heavy punches to the guts leave Flanagan moaning in pain just half-way through the round and Poirier shows no signs of letting her off the hook! More jabs land on Helen's boobs and she's in all kinds of trouble but eventually Kim's inexperience comes her to the rescue. Poirier leans on her too much and enables the Kats' blonde to lock her in a clinch as both girl struggle along the ropes before the ref finally separates them. Helen manages to land a quick punch to the head that catches Kim by surprise and forces her back as Flanagan finally throws some combination, but the Canadian blonde covers them off and circles around until the bell. The opening round was all about Kim's charge, which must have been personally ordered by coach Tapping.
Round 2: Flanagan looks extremely annoyed after being pushed around in the opener and attacks like a woman possessed off her stool. She catches Kim in the side of the head with a big hook but the Canadian blonde jumps back and avoids further trouble. Helen tries to chase her around but Kim moves quickly along the ropes and adds to the Brit's frustration. Both women circle around the ring before Kim ducks low and surprises her rival with a low punch to the guts. Helen is briefly stunned and allows Poirier to jump in on her and get pummelled several times. Kim delivers more big punches to Helen's stomach and forces her against the corner post. English girl covers up but Poirier is throwing furious blows and she breaks her guard after few seconds of unanswered pounding. A mammoth left hook catches Helen in side of the head again and she's down on the canvas!!! Referee begins the count but Helen gets up at seven and looks ready to go. She jumps back at the Canadian foe throwing flurry of punches herself and forces Poirier to move away and abandon her hopes of finishing this one off anytime soon. Flanagan is breathing heavily and looks really upset about the knockdown but she survives to the bell and stares down at her rival still with pure venom in her eyes.
Round 3: Both girls are looking to stamp further authority on the fight through sheer aggression and they trade punches at the start of the third. Kim works on Helen's head trying to sneak one around her high guard while Flanagan tries some low jabs to the ribs. The Canadian blonde moves in and closes the distance and catches her rival with a sharp hook below the elbow and Helen moans in pain as she felt that one. Poirier immediately goes for the follow up and pushes her opponent along the ropes where she unleashes more crushing blows to her midsection. Helen tries to cover up her face but only enables her rival to work on her stomach without much resistance. The crowd senses some blood here as Kim continues to punish the British blonde with no sympathy whatsoever. Helen tries to clinch and somehow manages to shove her to center of the ring but there's more trouble to come as Poirier lands a big hook that splits Helen's lip and completely takes the wind out of her. She is struggling to survive now and is lucky that Kim needs to catch her breath too, after all that effort she's put into this round. The bell finally sounds and the Canadian has taken a significant advantage over her rival now.
Round 4: Helen's split lip has been worked on during the interval but she looks very unsecure off her stool to start the fourth. Kim is aware of the damage she's caused and steps in on her wounded opponent. She breaks Flanagan's guard with couple of jabs straight away and lands a low hook to her stomach. Helen is pushed along the ropes in no time and Poirier jumps on her immediately. A couple of hooks to side of the head make the Englsh girl's arms drop which results in Kim crushing another powerful hook straight in the jaw. Helen falls down in agony and looks over and done with. She tries to get up, but trips over her feet and is counted out while sitting on her backside and looking unaware of what has just happened. KO R4 Kim Poirier!!!
Post-fight: An all-out slugfest between a couple of bantamweights and this time a Canadian rookie conquered the more experienced if not that successful rival. If this was a case of Kim Poirier being a better fighter than Emilie Ullerup, it's hard to say after just one fight, but Team Canada has taken notes of their mistakes in the previous fight and came back with a bang.
Meanwhile this was Helen Flanagan's first fight since August and unlike Nadine Coyle she wasn't able to turn around her bad fortunes in recent months. However her brawling and aggressive approach to all the fights will cause more trouble and Flanagan most definitely hasn't said her last word in BBU competition.
Final result: Kim Poirier def. Helen Flanagan KO4.
