Jennifer Metcalfe will be looking to restore British pride in this matchup, but she’s taking on a younger, slightly taller opponent in Masami, who has looked good in training, and comes to the ring with a reputation as being a good boxer.

The girls are soon in the ring, with Jenny looking fantastic in a black bikini, and the lithe Masami good too, in her pale blue bikini.

Round 1

The girls seem rather timid at the start, sparring, but not really punching, and the action is slow in this round, to say the least. Now Jenny begins to take the fight to Masami, though, and she lands a few clipping punches in the Japanese girl’s face, making the younger actress hold a little, taking the odd shot herself to the body, but generally outsyling and outboxing the rangy visitor, beating her to the punch and bringing her up short.

Round 2

And Jenny comes out punching in the second – much better work here from the Brit, keeping up a good tempo and constantly slapping punches into Masami’s welcoming face, dominating her nicely, and bumping her into the ropes to give her some stick. But Masami’s a crafty customer, and she turns Jenny, then boxes her beautifully, ripping some good shots into her ribcage, then her face, and Jenny slides down the ropes to the canvas after taking a booming left hook in her mouth. This isn’t what Jenny expected, but she’s on her feet at 6, and takes the fight back to Masami, only to be hurt again with the Japanese girl’s right hooks.

Round 3

Now Masami is taking control, quietly and efficiently working Jenny around the ring, her looping, raking punches finding the Brit’s face all too regularly, and she just can’t get inside that long reach to hit back, her face getting very much reddened by the younger girl’s attentions. Just into the second half of the round, and Masami has Jenny covering up, resting against the ropes, then she tears at her, lands three hard punches to the left side of her face, then hooks her to the mouth, gets her again with the left – Jenny doesn’t go down, but she’s cut – Jenny Metcalfe’s got a little cut along her right cheekbone, and that’s dribbling blood, and open target for the taller girl to pop at – and that’s what she does, giving the Brit a good beating against the ropes late on.

Round 4

Masami focuses her attention on Jennifer’s cut cheek, and she bangs the English girl backwards again in the opening seconds, coming inside to try to finish the job off. But that’s not smart work from her, and Jenny hits her back now, the Japanese girl staggered by a five punch onslaught to her face, and she wobbles badly, almost hangs her head out, and gets caught with a right hook to the jaw which floors her, and she struggles to regain her feet at 7, then takes a few more heavy shots to the body, having to clinch and spoil to get through the round.

Round 5

Now Jenny’s the one dominant in this fight as she beats Masami relentlessly around the body, the younger girl beginning to wilt and flounder under her repeated attacks. Once she has her where she wants her, Jenny comes in to try to finish her girl off, but can’t quite get past her defensive gloves, and will need to go down to the body again. Once more Masami turns Jenny, but this time can’t land any counter punches, just pushes and shoves her backwards, then leans onto her, spoiling and frustrating the Brit as she tries to land a decent shot to her face.

Round 6

Jenny plays it rather cool as the round starts, backing off a little, then gets on her toes to jab at Masami, the younger girl a little unsure of the situation now, and she gets fooled into attacking the older girl who then just picks her off – really hits Masami hard to the mouth with two straight left hands, then cracks her with a right to the cheek, and the younger actress crumbles to the floor, face down to start with, then hauls herself up at 8, but she looks spent, and takes a licking from Jenny on the ropes before fighting back with a late rally, again showing her skills by turning the Brit around, and cuffing her to the face, even in her moments of pain.

Round 7

Masami is really struggling now, and she gets thumped very early to the body this time around, weakening her resolve, takes refuge on the ropes, and gets hurt by two solid left hands, and she’s down again. She’s up at 8, but there’s a long time to go in this round, and, as Jennifer hits her in the face with five unanswered punches, the referee jumps in and saves her.

Jenny looked good in attack, but she was too easily outboxed at times – as for the Japanese visitor? She needs experience, that’s all.
