Next up are two very well endowed young ladies, with very little to choose between them age or heightwise, so this should be a close encounter – neither girl is shy either, and there was a little spat between them at the weigh-in, where Yoko seemed to trip Gemma and try to push her over, Gemma losing her top in the process. She wants revenge!

Into the ring they come, Gemma in a black bikini, with Yoko in a pink bra and pants set that has the guys whistling.

Round 1

Both girls want to make a quick start to this fight, and they’re both on their toes and dancing in, and it’s Yoko who lands the better punches as the pair face off in mid ring – she belts Gemma’s face left and right in succession, hits her to the belly, then puts her on her back with a left hook to the jaw, the blonde girl dazed already, and staying down for 8. It’s all Yoko from then to the bell, as she rips punches into Gemma’s body, has her on the ropes late on and bats her to the face again – Gemma takes the punishment, defends as best she can, and looks to just make it through the round.

Round 2

The pace of the fight does not dim, as Yoko launches at Gemma early, hurting the girl and stiffing her with a right hook, but Gemma comes back hard, her left jabs gradually finding their mark as she concentrates on boxing, not wanting to risk toe to toe again. Yoko gives her another tough time on the ropes, but she comes off them stronger, still jabbing, and then she manages to pick Yoko off a little better, getting some rhythm into her punching, the Japanese girl’s head being snapped back and back by those accurate jabs, then taken sideways as she follows in with a few choice hooks, and Yoko looks scruffy at the bell.

Round 3

Another quick start to a round now, with Yoko standing her ground and making Gemma swap punches in midring – that won’t suit the Brit, and she gets hurt as Yoko finds her with two big right hook, the second one almost decking her as she stumbles backwards. Yoko closes in and thuds two hard left hand shots into her body, and Gemma’s having to hold and clinch at this stage, getting up really close to Yoko, the girls ample racks sliding against one another as they half wrestle on the ropes, Gemma looking the more powerful, and warned by the referee, then Yokp hurts her late on with a wiping one-two to the face as she regains control.

Round 4

The pace begins to drop this round, with both girls needing a breather, but Yoko’s still landing the cleaner punches, wearing Gemma down really as she lands to her ribs and flanks, making the Brit cover up and protect herself. Gemma tries fighting off the ropes, but it comes to nothing much at all, and she finds herself being walked around the ring and worked to the body, Yoko dominates the latter stages of the round, not being fancy, just stopping Gemma by land hard, frequent punches to the actress’s body, concentrating on weakening her down to beat later.

Round 5

The round starts in the same mode, with Yoko bullying Gemma, pushing her about and rapping her to the belly, ribs and flanks, and by the middle of the round she’s got the blonde looking tired and vulnerable, ready to go down, maybe? Gemma’s on the ropes, getting hit to the body as Yoko steams in, whaling away at her – then she punches back! Three straight lefts land in Yoko’s mouth, followed up with a lovely right cross, and another, and the model’s knees buckle. Gemma seizes the initiative, rips into the brunette with a right hook, and a left hook, and Yoko hits the floor, smack on her butt. The model gets up again at 7, but she looks shaky, managing to grip the Brit and stop her getting any big shots off, but now the fight is really on again, with the boxing style of Gemma taking over.

Round 6

Now Gemma’s gaining confidence, her punches coming in clusters, and Yoko’s bruising up at this stage, her face stopping far too much leather. Yoko isn’t showing much defence, not protecting herself properly, just trying to brawl Gemma, winding up raking shots to land in her body, but she takes so many shots in the meantime she isn’t getting an real oomph into her work, and Gemma is taking a good control in the match now, snapping Yoko’s head back again and again with her quick head punches, the Japanese girl beginning to bruise around her cheeks by the bell.

Round 7

It’s all Gemma again in the seventh as she bats and bops Yoko around the ring, her jabs really getting through Yoko’s defences and starting to stun the girl, with her following up right handers to the body testing her strength and fitness. Midway through the round, and Gemma has Yoko fixed firmly to the ropes, left and right hand punches both seeming to get through, then she wobbles her with a good right hook to the ear, the model’s knees looking shaky as she clinches and holds to stay in the fight. Late in the round Gemma attacks hard, looking for a knockout, but Yoko shows her spirit by clubbing the blonde with two good left handers to the body, and it’s the Brit who gets hurt in the dying seconds.

Round 8

Yoko makes a big effort now, taking Gemma on and zipping punches into her midriff, really dominating her in the opening seconds as the Brit seems to be losing her grip a little, and she’s getting hurt as the brunette thuds a little flurry of punches into her ribcage, having to cover up, then grip and hold. The referee is working hard to keep the girls apart, not that he’s complaining at needing to manhandle their well endowed bodies, but its’ getting a little too much like a wrestling bout as the round nears the end, with Gemma getting hit, but Yoko looking increasingly tired, and neither girl throws much leather in the last 20 to 30 seconds.

Round 9

Yoko starts the round aggressively, building on what she did in the eighth, but they aren’t carrying as much weight now, and Gemma’s kind of walking through them and landing her own shots, to the model’s bruised features, backing her up to the ropes. Yoko tries to turn Gemma, but it’s not happening for her, and the Brit hurts her with a solid left hook to the mouth, the brunette beginning to wobble a little, then she gets caught again – a right hand to the ear this time, and Yoko’s don, on her knees and hurt in the corner, taking a count of 8 before resuming. Gemma’s trying to finish Yoko off now, but it’s been a hard fight for her too, and she can’t quite nail the model down again, the bell coming with the girls leaning against one another.

Round 10

The knockdown probably leaves Yoko needing a knockout to win, but as game as she is to go for it, her body’s not willing any longer, and it’s Gemma bossing the round, sticking her left jab into Yoko’s face and keeping her at bay. Yoko wants to fight back, but she’s spent, and her face looks really sore as Gemma unloads a final flourish, three lefts and two rights banging the model to the ropes, dazed and looking ready to go, but there’s very little time left, and Gemma can’t quite finish the job, the round ending with the girls grappling once again, and they embrace after the bell.

The result? Unanimous but close on all three cards – Gemma Bissix beat Yoko Matsugane.

That was a good result for Gemma against a game and talented fighter – Yoko will cause trouble in BBU, that’s certain, but Gemma continues to improve. There’s talk of her fighting in Australia soon – that’s going to be interesting.
