BEFORE: Tempestuous prefight marked by girls pushing each other's hands; slappin' and scowlin'...hard feelings persist between boxing's prettiest brunettes. "It just bugs me that she won't give me my respect," Minka says at podium. "I'm better than her; I've beaten her twice...she should have to say I'm better. But she NEVER does - all she says is how close the rounds were - how she could be up 2-0 and that's total garbage. If she would just admit that Minka's a brunette-too-far for her, we could move on. But nope: now I have to kick her ass again!" Nina refusing to budge - shaking her head "no" whenever the head to head record with Minka is brought up. "I don't care - it means nothing," Nina insists. "Look: Minka KNOWS I'm prettier, and that's killing her. It ruined the marketing for Charlie's Angels, 'cause they wanted to say they had the prettiest girl on TV, but I ruined that, and the show collapsed as a result. As for her two bogus wins: whatever! I'll get those back, then roll her up - you know why? BECAUSE I'M YOUNG! Time is on my side. The tide's gonna turn on Minka sooner or later, and when it does, it's never going her way again!" During R1: Nina pop-pop-popping that left jab, keeping her right hand at her cheek, forcing Minka to keep her dukes up around her brows to block. By the middle minute, Nina's stepping in off the jab - fitting a sticky left uppercut into Minka's ribs behind right elbow; light jab/right hand keeps Minka's hands in blocking position; dip torso-right sets up a whacking, limber right hand against Minka's left-side ribs. Nina scoring, then scooting - pivoting round and round in clockwise loops, keeping that pesky jab on Minka's mitts to keep her docile. Meanwhile...VICIOUS, lanky body shots really digging into Minka-meat...Nina stitching in and out, getting off, staying busy...she paints Minka for a shutout, and chirps at the bell: "Who's better now?"

R2: Minka adjusting slightly - bringing hands from brows to cheeks, hoping to block Nina's body work with elbows in a tight guard. Kelly weaving her way forward, but Nina laying down a steady covering screen of jabs - left hand chipping at Minka's brow or spanking her guarding mitts, keeping Kelly at bay. Long-legged Dobrev pivoting clockwise, dictating distance...Minka trying step and slug, but Nina's seeing it well, loping out of range while taking the punches on her gloves or forearms. Nina all about Minka's ribcase - leaning in off the jab/right hand up top, then rippin' Minka sticky to torso, digging in behind either elbow. Nina's form on the body shots very lithe and succulent - arching her back slightly, twisting her hips into the shots...she's getting the most out of her lean lines here. Bell: Minka frowning, frustrated...Nina bright-eyed, working her plan beautifully through 2.

R3: Minka gets on track: right foot well back as hse steps forward, keeping weight on left (front) leg. Straight-stamping lead rights seeking out Nina's tits; clip-across left hook whistling past Nina's mouth as Dobrev gives ground. Nina spooked, turning as she retreats to stay off ropes: Minka walking Dobrev down. Kelly able to whack Nina's ribs wide, clouting rights and lefts as Dobrev's escaping...Nina grimacing at her rival's power to the body in a good Minka third.

R4: Both girls having their moments: Nina staying long, popping jabs and one-twos to fix Minka's guard in high position, then leaning in bendy to rip-lick the body; Kelly applying steady pressure with her legs, bringing the fight to Nina, scoring stubby straight rights up top to mouth/chopping hooks to ribs.

R5: Good hounding pursuit for Minka chases Nina to ropes: Dobrev sets up face-in-gloves, suddenly looking slender and vulnerable as Minka squares away brawny. Kelly using top of her head to bump at Nina's guard while whacking Dobrev to waist right/left...thumping good time had by Minka as poor Nina grits her teeth. Minka a little bully here - using chickenwinged left elbow to push at Nina and reset: constant pummeling of chugging lefts and rights to midsection and flanks keeps Nina under siege. Dobrev wearing down, grimacing, but proving willful: she sponges up a terrible clouting, but keeps her chin protected, ties up on occasion and survives a bludgeoning Minka Fifth.

R6: Minka with good pressure early, breaking Nina's form and scattering her about the ring. Dobrev slowly organizes behind that pop-pop, elastic jab...she pokes Minka into compliance, then gets into the Kelly ribcage via wicked, bendy-backed left or right uppercuts to either side. Sensational stuff...Nina turning Minka, luring her forward, ripping her to the body, then sidestep-pivoting...Nina all leggy and lithe here, treating herself; poor Minka gasping and suffering. Down the stretch, Nina leaning in off the jab to fit the left uppercut into Minka's right armpit; right/left on the guard keeps Kelly spellbound; dip-right for the angle and a ripping right uppercut to Kelly's left-side lats has her open-mouthed in agony! Poor Minka pleading with her eyes, stooping forward behind her mitts...Nina resets feet, touching her right knuckles lightly to Minka's guard, then RIPS her a snatching left uppercut to solar plexus. DOWN GOES KELLY! Strong-legged Minka groaning to all fours in gut-shock...Nina just bending her back, popping her hips-right and getting all up in there with lanky authority. Nina looming over top, shouting down: "BETTER AND PRETTIER!" Until ref bodies her off...Minka blinking away tears as she fights to her feet.

R7: Pressure from Minka; legs and guile from Nina as she pings out the jab/right hand up top, turns, looks for the left hook in behind Minka's right elbow. Kelly very brave in pursuit, still hurt to her body but weaving forward...she's absorbing Nina's sticky rips to the ribcage, but answering back with clubbing determination to waist/flanks. Look on Minka's face devastating to her fans: when Nina dips that left shoulder and fits in the rib-tickler, Minka's face tightens up in obvious agony.

R8: Pressure from stubborn Minka...Nina can hurt her, but apparently can't hold her off. Stubby straight right leads from Mink; follow-on palm-down hooks whistling over top, or whacking loud against Nina's right hip/ribs...Dobrev mouthbreathing, starting to give ground. Middle minute a grim 60 seconds for lovely Nina: she's face-in-gloves, butt-in-ropes, sponging up the thumping of a lifetime to her ribs as Minka bares teeth, bashes away. Kelly normally sweet as they come, but she's hardhearted here - digging hooks to the body and growing: "Say I'm prettier (THUMP!)...Say I'm better (WHUMP!)..." Nina shuddering, growing stiff and slow under the bombardment, swallows her tears and absorbs without a trace of surrender. Bell: Minka pushes off, then rips an extra left hook to paunch for insurance...ref pulls her away by one arm as Nina hugs herself/squeezes out tears in protest.

R10: Rubbery, pushy aspect to Nina's punches now...her legs not as springy as they were: MInka able to close quickly and body Nina to ropes. Brutal subjugation administered, Minka to Nina - Kelly just planting-and-painting as Dobrev covers up shabby. "Say I'm prettier (THUMP!)...Say I'm better (WHUD!)..." Minka pushing with her head, her shoulders - propping Nina up with elbows, then whacking her amidships...steady, glorious assault marking Minka as one of the best sturdy-legged grinders in the division. Nina battered in the pocket - slender arms hammered numb as she keeps face/chin covered, and OH, the ribcage...Nina's slender chassis all bright pink, soon to be an ugly purple. Bell: Minka bashing away mindless, lost in Nina-hate - ref pulls Kelly off and this thing goes to the cards. Comes back the Tractorpull special...both girls over-rule their handlers by demanding a tie break.

R11: Minka's stubby straight lead right pokes Nina in the mouth, driving her backward: follow-on whistling hooks graze Nina's chin, spooking her. Ropes - Minka on top: she's just a pretty little machine in there, setting up shop, keeping her head down, ripping away side to side to hammer at all things Nina. Dobrev's elender legs shutting down...she's butt-in-ropes, pushing her hands on Minka's shoulders in don't-hurt-me posture...Kelly's pouring on the hurt! Right hand clouts Nina across the chin, loosening her up...Dobie's eyes suddenly glassy, her hands dropping to her tummy as she stares blearily into more punishment. Kelly baring teeth: hook swivels Nina's pretty head; chopping right slams onto Nina's jaw, causing her to slide limp to her right, into her own corner. Another right hand hammers left-side of Nina's neck; another right bashes at her skull...Dobrev defenceless, staring and THE REF STEPS IN! TKO11 for Minka "Clutch" Kelly!

AFter: Minka wins in overtime again - now perhaps the most successful fighter ever in sudden-death situations. Dobrev crying, inconsolable in her corner, but when Minka comes over to congratulate her, Nina turns tigress again, angrily pushing Minka and refusing to accept the verdict. "I AM better," Minka says fiercely in post-fight, looking scuffed and puffy about the face. "Three times I've beaten this tramp down and she STILL won't give me my due. But you guys saw: I crippled her to the body, got off the deck, took the fight from her...I deserve higher status than Nina and everyone knows it!" Nina disputing the decision in the pages of FIGHTING INGENUE in days to follow - citing the knockdown of Minka as the true story of the fight, and proof that she was robbed - again - by Minka Kelly.
