BEFORE: "I'm anxious to get started," Patton tells reporters at her first official FCBA press conference. "Ashley's job 1 - no pun intended guys! But after that, obviously I'm looking at clearing out girls like Torv and Garner (ed. note: Abrams' heroines) - I only wish Lilly was bigger so I get her done too!" Scott non-plussed, but intense: Paula's bigger, stronger and coming in with a fearsome gym-rep for a rookie. "I know I'm a target for girls like Paula," former ingenue-of-the-year admits in prefight, "but that's okay: it gets me work, and puts me in position to upset these kids. Obviously, Paula's built for fighting, but we'll see just how ring-competent she is. There's a big difference between looking the part and being the part, and I mean to point that out to Patton in this fight!" Paula in purple yoga top; black sport bikini bottoms; black mitts; high-gloss black hair smooth behind the ears. Ashley in black froot-o'-the-looms cotton bra and panties; going back to her short-choppy blonde tousle from Into the Blue days; black gloves.

During R1: Patton hurtling across the ring, bombarding Ashley at the open. Scott in her corner; right at chest/left across her gut; torso rolling on her hips; twisting to point either shoulder at belligerent brunette. Paula's face: scowling...she's slamming away strong-backed lefts and rights, beating at Ashley's ribs/shoulders as blonde girl slips the chin-shots. Minute mark...Scott rolls to her right with a Patton right; answers back a licking right to Paula's trunks...Patton bunches up hurt; Ashley gathers her up, spin-turns her into corner, fetches her a tasty left/right licking combo to trunks, putting Patton's buns on turnbuckles. Paula groaning: Ashley supple, standing in close...left hand cuffs at Paula's breasts; little right uppercut skids across her face; wide, buggy-whip right hand takes Paula in above left hip. Patton eventually able to hold for ref's break...Ashley stepping back to midring to renegotiate all terms. Scotty's legs on show to bell: she's got the points, she's got Patton gimping and grimacing...blonde girl gets it done rugged in the first.

R2: Paula storms out strong to open: slamming right roundhouses to Ashley's left side ribs; jabbing to locate Scott's body as blonde looks to evacuate the area. Wheeling clockwise pivots from Ashley slowly encircle Paula...blonde jab touching at brunette nose/mouth, gradually dictating pace. Scotty check-jabbing while slide-stepping back...she'll lure Paula forward, then slap-hook Patton's chin while quick-pivoting clockwise to turn Paula's right flank. Patton taking it well, but a little mesmerized here...just following Ashley, walking into Scott's punches, then turning to give chase as blonde slips through the side-exits.

R3: Ashley fades to ropes, leaning back into them; elbows tight to ribs, dukes up. Paula squares away to work: brunette STRONG to blonde hips/flanks via muscular, bashing lefts and rights. Scotty relaxed in the pocket, riding out the work, blocking on her elbows...she's giving up her tummy here, letting Paula slam away, then tying up for ref's breaks. Patton stepping right back in after official separates fighters: Scott laying on the ropes, seeing everything, just letting Patton work. Shutout round Paula Patton: Scott absorbing thump to body, but taking nothing serious above the neck.

R4: Scotty slide-stepping back from Patton-pressure...blonde pinging out the check-jab during cagey retreats; feinting; hooking-chin and pivoting clockwise around the score as Patton's a heartbeat slow to cut off the escape route. Paula mounting considerable pressure with her legs - always walking Ashley down: Scotty solves this at the midway point with another dose of low-blows (straight right hand slanted down to trunks, followed by supple, slinging left uppercuts licking the trunks-front). Patton bunches up hurrrrt: Ashley sidesteps her starts to nibble from angles...she's getting a sleek straight right lead onto Paula's jaw, and that hook-and-pivot routine. Patton wobbly-butt, biting on feints now, looking frazzled: blonde girl touching up a big brunette through 4.

R5: Is Paula discouraged? Patton continues to march on Scott, but brunette hesitant when in range: she's been burned by counters and fouls...Ashley's inside Paula's head! Feints and spanking left jabs from Ashley's as pivots-clockwise: blonde girl picking her shots now, getting stiff touches, spanking away on face with authority. Feints often set up oppurtunistic right hands - AShley deploying 'em sleek and straight off the shoulder, kissing Paula hard across the mouth or tits. Patton hooking the waist with good weight, but unable to build momentum: blonde angles and rhythm proving perplexing through 5.

R6: Ashley fades to ropes, leaning back into them, inviting Paula to wade in and work. Patton obliges, slamming away on well-prepared blonde arms and flanks: Ashley keeping mitts at cheeks, easily seeing and rolling-under anything launched up top. Nibbling counters from Scott - she's keeping elbows in and just cuffing at Paula, keeping her honest, then tying her up for ref's breaks. Points for Patton, but she's frustrated, scowling...Ashley proving hard-to-hit through 6.

R7: Paula walking forward...Ashley melting away; sidestepping to turn her girl midring...blonde girl tidying up as brunette cooperates. Sleepy aspect to Patton's features...lips parted as she stares into Ashley's jab, or takes the slinging right cross. Paula's toned tummy well-smote as Ashley licks lanky left hooks across it - the left fist finishing up at Ashley's right shoulder on follow through. Down the stretch, Ashley slide-stepping back...she rolls-with a Patton right; answers-back the bolo right uppercut sweet beneath the chin...PATTON GOES WOBBLY BUTT! Paula picked up onto her toes, then set back on her heels...she stumbles into ropes, astonished. Ashley steps-to: buggywhip right to left hip; licking right uppercut to chin...Paula staring, swaying, strong legs holding her up. Ashley limber, relaxed...she dabs the left jab at Paula's breasts; kisses her a sliding right to mouth, then; cuff-cuff-cuffs three quick left hooks to jaw, finally dislodging Patton's mouthpiece! Paula sagging back in wonder, hands low; CRASHING right swivels Patton's head, leaving her helpless. Ashley resets hips to swat hooks but THE REF STEPS IN! TKO7 in slick fashion, Ashley Scott!

AFter: Paula all slapped out and heavy in ref's arms, eyes blinking in stupor...strong brunette gets a lesson in not looking past your foe as Scotty welcomes Patton to the FCBA in style! "That's how I do!" A grinning Ashley says in postfight. "Paula came in all big and strong, lot of movie-mo behind her, but she just didn't count on one thing: Ashley Scott's been taking down honeys for years, and treating me like I'm just here for my good looks is the best way to get your buns lit up!" Harsh lesson for Paula P, but brunette's got the physical tools...long as the mental makeup's there, she'll grow off this set-back.
