Alesha Dixon's comeback after losing the BBU bantamweight title to Jessica Schwarz continues as the 33 year old singer from the Beever Babes stable has arranged a fight with young prospect Tulisa Contostavlos (Double A Boxing), ten years her junior. Dixon knocked out Laura Prepon earlier this month and while Tulisa has scored a couple of good wins over Nicola Roberts and Natalie Imbruglia in her short BBU career, neither of those girls were Dixon's calliber and this bout serves as her first proper test in the bantamweight division.
The fight; scheduled for ten rounds; is held in the BBU Arena, Cardiff.
Tulisa Contostavlos wearing a light blue one-piece swimsuit and black gloves. She has dyed her hair blonde for this one contrary to her Greek-ancestry brunette image she's been sporting lately. Alesha Dixon wearing a black one-piece swimsuit and red gloves.
Round 1: Early charge from Dixon who looks to stamp her authority over the younger rival, good jabbing sequence backs the blonde away immediately and heavy blows test Tulisa's guard. She withstands the early storm though and tries to respond by firing a couple of shots to the midsection, but she's unable to reach Dixon. Alesha circles around the blonde, constantly peppers her from the flanks and fakes a couple of big hooks to the face which Tulisa reacts to, as she jumps away to the side. Big smile on Dixon's face, she's commanding the proceedings thus far and throws twice as many punches as the Greek blonde who seems to be slightly overwhelmed by her rival's status and presence. Alesha finishes the round with more nasty jabbing to the arms and body and Tulisa looks puzzled at the bell.
Round 2: Dixon continues her forward momentum, jabs with enormous strenght behind her shots and Tulisa's guard starts to buckle. A couple of hooks landed on the mouth and the blonde's head snapped backwards resulting in Dixon's smile getting bigger and bigger. Alesha moves in on the blonde and peppers her with solid combination to the guts and Tulisa just covers up, allowing the older girl to pummel her all the way to the ropes. Alesha still hasn't hit the destruction mode yet though and throws single pucnhes along the ropes as Tulisa can only clinch herself out of trouble. Alesha shoves her away and Contostavlos runs away along the ropes as Dixon just watches her from distance and then teases into some action by dropping her gloves alltogether. Tulisa circles around her, doesn't want to step in though and Alesha fakes a move forward which forces her even more back. Bell sounds and Tulisa still hasn't cause any trouble to the former champion.
Round 3: More aggression from Dixon but she looks like she really means business now. She immediately throws a barrage of punches and before Tulisa can react properly, Alesha has nailed a couple of nasty hooks to the head and another uppercut to the stomach. Blonde bends down in pain and cover up in middle of the ring, but Dixon pounds her one more time in the boobs before another uppercut breaks Tulisa's guard wide open. A nasty jab to the mouth is a formality and Tulisa can't take the onslaught anymore and she crashes flat on her back with blood pouring from the split lip. She bravely gets up at six and vows to continue, but the ref looks upon her lip injury and calls for the doctor. It's not a bad wound though and after a brief medical work, she's back and running again. However Dixon is all over her immediately throwing more hooks to the ribs and chest. Tulisa weaves around and tries to keep the distance again and allthough she survives until the bell, Alesha has landed few heavy punches again and looks in total control so far.
Round 4: Alesha stays back for a change and allows Tulisa to show what's she's got in store, something that was non-existant in the opening three rounds. The Greek blonde senses she's been pummelled around the ring so far and steps in with a load of aggression landing a couple of big hooks to the body; Dixon blocked them off easily and responded with a nasty jab to the guts. Both girls circle around each other and throws single punches as Dixon tries to nail the blonde in the mouth again with Tulisa looking to cause any significant damage to her rival wherever possible. She targets the former champ's chest and lands a solid jab before following up with a nasty hook to the ribs and that forced Dixon to wince for a moment! She immediately tries to respond with a massive jab to the face, but Tulisa's guard holds up well and she lands another solid jab in the ribs and now Dixon's not only in some pain, but helluva angry as well! She throws another jabbing sequnce and allthough Contostavlos blocks it off, she's forced back against the ropes, where Dixon continues with her attack looking for an uppercut to the jaw. Tulisa covers up and protects her head well, but Alesha scores easy, unanswered blows to the stomach and chest and the blonde is moaning in pain as Alesha takes over control for good. She lands several blows and forces the blonde to bend down in agony, but she's unable to knock her down before the bell despite a big advantage. She walks back to her stool with grim look in her eyes while Tulisa looks fairly tired and breaths heavily after weathering that storm in closing seconds of the round.
Round 5: Alesha moves in on the blonde straight after the bell and Tulisa tries to stand her ground by throwing a massive hook to the head. That grazes off Dixon's ear, but the former champ rocks her younger foe with a massive jab to the jugs and a couple of follow-up hooks to the ribs. Tulisa moans in pain and gets thrown onto the ropes where Dixon lashes out at her with ferocious hooks and jabs. Tulisa just covers up, looking to survive, but she's dodged too many bullets tonight already and finally Alesha lands a massive right hook to the nose which sends the blonde crashing down on her backside and she looks in total disarray as the ref starts the count. She gets up at eight but looks a walking prey. Nonetherless, she's allowed to resume the fight and Alesha is all over her immediately afterwards, jabbing to the stomach and jugs. Poor Tulisa just covers up her face but gets literally thumped into the floor with Dixon's furious barrage. It's a one-woman show in the ring and after well over thirty seconds of relentless pounding, ref steps in and stops the disaster. TKO R5 Alesha Dixon!!!
Post-fight: Tulisa Contostavlos slumps down on her backside and gets checked by the medical stuff as she shows no intentions of moving anywhere soon. Alesha Dixon literally battered her out of all the senses and now enjoys the scene as her fallen rival receives intensive treatment. She walks around the ring with her glove raised high and after Contostavlos has been escorted back to the locker room, she talks to the media gathered ringside:
"It doesn't matter I'm not the champ for now. It still doesn't mean I'm not the best bantamweight in BBU! Some idiots claimed this Tulisa chick will put me away, but I guess I proved what's the difference between true women like me and mediocre brats like her! What next? I'm tired of this Jessica Schwarz creature! I'm breaking new grounds soon! Australia! Canada! There are lot of newcomers around and I'll be happy to take them next year! Once I wreck 'em all, BBU bigwigs will be asking me to fight for the title again sooner rather than later! They just can't afford removing me from the spotlight whether they like it or not!"
Final result: Alesha Dixon def. Tulisa Contostavlos TKO5.
