Before: "I wanted to get to Kelly Hu before she retired," Aly explains in prefight. "She's one of the great bantam legends - still in fantastic shape - and she's something I need to get done to be satisfied with my work at 120. Tough - no question - but she's an older girl now, touchable...I feel I'll wear her down eventually, but with her skill level, you can never take her for granted." Hu unconvinced - she gets right after Aly in rebuttal. "This girl IS taking me for granted!" Kelly insists. "She thinks I'm padding: honey, I'm where blonde dreams of glory go to die. You better tell your trainer to have the towel ready, 'cause you're not going to want to take everything I've got to give. I know how to treat punks like you, and if you thought Olivia Munn was rough, wait'll you see me!"

During R1: Hu looking to potshot righty - waiting on Aly's left jab, then dropping in over top. Michalka's hands at her waist; weight bouncing on lead (left) leg, but she's always poised to lean back onto right leg and slide away. Cat and mouse develops - several chopping rights land for Hu in first minute, touching chin or breast-tops...Aly adjusts, starts jabbing-jug to draw Kelly's right, then timing her OWN right to Kelly's mouth in a battle of will, skill. By final minute, both women flat-footed, head feinting each other, dipping at the waist, making the fight about hands and reflexes...both showing deft, darting right hands in concert with wide, whippy, batting left hooks. Aly grinning, baiting Kelly with insolence...blonde girl finds the range on a pair of batting hooks to Kelly's mouth and HU GOES DOWN! Kelly punched to her buns - she bounces right back up, cheeks crimson, but it's 10-8 Aly at the bell!

R2: Kelly forced into pressure-mode to even things up...Aly loose in her stance, flat footed: she stands her ground, jabs Kelly on the way in; fits her for the short right uppercut off the right (back) plant-leg; cups the left hand at Kelly's ear to control her as girls fight on the inside. Hu: rolling right/lefts against Aly's tummy hup-hup-hup, then coming up to clout jug short. Aly: nibbling right uppercuts to chin in close; bolo right hands to breadbasket; chopping rights to cheek as Hu pushes forward while Michalka's rotating in the pocket. Aside from Aly's cupping left hand up top, girls are working - ref lets 'em sort things out in the phonebooth. Kelly a little busier, tidying up torso with both mitts: she works hard for points through 2.

R3: Same configuration - Aly flat footed, chin tucked - gentle-jabbing Kelly as Hu's coming in, then fitting right uppercut to Asian chin to start festivities. Hu crossing her arms inside, bobbing, then working to gut right/left/right - good limber whacking getting it done to Aly's tummy. Michalka using clever left upside Kelly's head to pull Hu down onto right uppercuts, or steady her for choppy rights to left cheek/eye...Aly pivoting to her right in the pocket, turning Kelly. Hu gobbling more leather this round - Aly mixing in short-shrugging left uppercuts as well, just crouching in close with Kelly and picking her up tits and chin.

R4: Aly bouncing on that front (left) leg again, using the ring: she's flicking out a backhand left jab while bopping clockwise midring - looking to chop in sneaky right hands of opportunity. Hu turning, eyes narrowed...she's parrying jabs with her right; rolling to her right with Aly's right, but not doing much offensively in minute one. Midway through, Hu times Aly to perfection, stepping inside blonde jab and pulling a whippy left hook into Michalka's mouth...blonde girl sent reeling to ropes, where she forms immediate earmuff. Hu steps-to, unleashes right/left/right to waistline; shifts weight to right leg to hack left hooks at Aly's right ear; tries a right uppercut off right leg, scraping it along Aly's guard. Blonde girl butt-in-ropes, but alert, supple: she'll bend back over the cables; roll to one side and duck down low; put a shoulder into Kelly's body and lever her off. Michalka's mobile pocket proves effective; Hu unable to get much more done as she paws jabs, tries to lean into drifting rights without success.

R5: Aly bouncing clockwise, weight on left leg for the most part, hands at her waist. Kelly stalking, bobbing, jabbing for blonde jugs and tummy; looking to loop in righty over top. Michalka sleek, cute here...as Kelly gambles on overhand right haymakers, blonde girl slides back, dragging her lead left foot while cuffing little check-hooks, catching Kelly as she's pouring forward. Outside, Michalka's jab keeps Kelly at bay - backhand flicking motion very quick, often doubling up to catch Kelly's brows after Hu's made one defensive move. Aly always twitching her shoulders, double-pumping the jab, changing up distance on widespread legs...forty-something Hu getting a dose of the medicine she used to give girls back in the day.

R6: Aly tears it up on Kelly: Hu battered savagely as onlookers bite knuckles, gnash teeth, or cover their eyes. Michalka leaning over left leg, backhanding her left; chopping her right onto Kelly's cheek with palm-sideways delivery. Short, hacking rights put a quiver in Kelly's knees/backside early...she rushes to answer, but Aly fades back while cuff-cuff-cuffing hooks, clouting Kelly out of orbit. Blonde girl hopping to close, keeping weight on left leg: she's back to touching the jab/chopping the right hand - willfully busting Kelly Hu up. Hu like a baited bull - she's rolling on her hips, getting touched up until she can't take it anymore and is forced to lunge for rangy Aly. Michalka loping back out of range whenever Hu tries for her - cuffing check-hooks batting at Kelly's jaw en-route. Devastating accumulation...Kelly visibly breaking down - head jolting off vicious, hacking rights or cuffing/batting hooks...Aly all dialed in, legs limber and springy beneath her as she takes Hu apart. Down the stretch, Kelly in earmuff, bending at the waist, looking ragged...Aly's just leaning in on front (left) leg, getting off whacking, rising left hooks against Kelly's midsection/ribs; downward-chopping rights with the palm-sideways look; cuffing hooks up top as Aly shifts weight to right leg; buggy-whip sidearm rights wide to Kelly's left hip as Aly shifts to left leg. Hu busting up badly, disheveled, mouthbreathing...curvy legs hold her up through a dreadful pounding, but it's 10-8 Aly as Michalka starts to distance herself.

R7: Kelly showing tough cougar cred as she shakes off punishment, gets back to the business of jabbing for Aly's body while looking for opportunistic overhand rights. Michalka with her hands at waist...she waits on Kelly, lifting either a left or right uppercut short to Hu's chin, then pivoting to that side - touching Kelly and turning her at the same time. Midway through, it backfires as Kelly times a sweeping overhand right to beat Aly's right uppercut: big head-swivel Michalka as Aly absorbs a blast. Blonde girl stunned, stumbling to ropes: she forms face-in-gloves, gives up her body as Hu steps-to and POUNDS away to waistline/ribs. Aly absorbs, then pulls Kelly's head in to clinch: blonde wincing, but clearing her head as she sets up on ropes. Ref's break: Aly content to set up mobile pocket - rolling on her hips, slipping shots and tying Kelly up for ref's breaks. Hu thumping the body to some effect, but Michalka able to weather the storm, getting out of a tricky round without further peril.

R8: Aly supple, flat footed: she knows Kelly has to come for her. Blonde girl waiting on Hu's approach - guiding brunette in with touch-jabs, then picking Kelly up the short-shrugging left uppercut while pivoting clockwise around the blow. Hu turns, frowning and tired...Aly grinning a little, touching her jab to bait the bull. Hu forward like a trooper - occasionally burying a sidearm right in above Aly's hip, or hooking Aly's tits, but it's mostly blonde potshot-and-pivot routines - Aly keeping the shots short, all shoulder as she picks Kelly up tidy. Bell: Hu visibly wobbly-butt, eyes punched to narrow slits at this point...lovely Kelly downcast on the long walk back to her corner.

R9: Aly letting her hands go, getting after Kelly: results in another terrible pasting as Hu has to cover up. Michalka all loose and rangy with her punches...she'll start weight on right leg while popping left jabs; shift to left leg while slicing across the right up top; stay on the left leg while hoisting short left uppercuts to Kelly's tits; shift to right leg while cuffing Kelly hook-across-mouth; finish with the right uppercut off right leg, neat to Kelly's chin. Hu punched out of orbit, frequently put wobbly-butt and sent staggering: super-strong cougar legs holding her up, but what a pasting! Aly just helping herself all lanky/supple, keeping the combos fluid. Constant caress of Aly's mitts on Kelly's face and body add up: Hu wobbling to all fours late the round - mouth open, tummy trembling as Aly struts away hands high.

R10: Same as the ninth - a vicious, limber, one-sided beating administered Aly to Kelly: Hu's curvy legs, champion's heart standing her up against Michalka's fists. Kelly beaten to ropes early, then worked over: Michalka in wide stance, flat footed, just keeping her hands moving to poke/swat/clout Kelly into submission. Crowd groaning whenever Ali loads up limber and lifts lefts and rights up into Kelly's ribs as Hu's stooping forward - blonde girl getting her hips and back into the action, really tearing Kelly up underneath. Hu ragged, showing either sullen earmuff, or left hand at right cheek/right across her gut as she's bobbing in the pocket. Michalka whips her girl to the finish line, but can't get Kelly's legs to quit - goes UD10 wide, Aly Michalka.

After: Michalka with white towel around her neck as she swigs a bottle of water; blonde girl all fresh n' sweaty, well-pleased with her effort tonight. "You can't tell me that's a 40 year old chassis on Kelly Hu," Aly quips in postfight. "Girl stood up to a POUNDING tonight. I gave her boatloads of hurt, she just wouldn't give in - can't stop 'em all, especially former champs with no quit in 'em. I gotta get Olivia Munn back in the ring one of these days - treat her like I treated Kelly. I'll beat the smug outta that girl yet!"
