With Dunst mired in management difficulties, legal hassles and scarred by early setbacks at the hands of Eliza Dushku--most assumed coming in that the always slick and prepared Geller would handle her youthful opponent in convincing fashion. Instead, Kirsten showed flashes of the hard nosed boxing skills and vicious punching that had led pundits to christen Dunst a can’t miss prospect at the beginning of her career. Gellar would fund herself under a churning two-fisted assault from the opening bell, with Kirsten advancing, cycling punches from underneath and forcing Sarah to twist and pivot on the defensive. Hammering Gellar in the body, Kirsten was often able to step in and catch the blonde backing straight out with chopping right hands on the jaw, doubling up on the punch in unexpected fashion with devastating results, Banging right hands produced a knockdown of Sarah in the third, and after 5, a banged up and harried SMG found herself well behind on all cards.

With her back to the wall, Gellar hunkered down to trade and  the 6th and 7th rounds  would prove pivotal in terms of determining who’s will would prevail in this fight. When the dust had settled, Dunst was cut over the left eye and rocked repeatedly by Gellar’s chopping double right and virtually crippled from the licking, rising lefts and rights that flowed in perpetual motion from Kirsten’s rolling shoulders. Gellar had nothing left--despite stealing the 10th with clever and hurtful counterpunching, Sarah would go down in defeat as Kirsten Dunst announced her return to the FCBA in solid fashion. UD10.

7 rounds to 3 Dunst, 3 shutouts to 1 Dunst. 2 knockdowns for Dunst. Power punches about even, with Kirsten taking it much better than Gellar.
