Hatcher in red push up bikini top, red and yellow floral print bikini bottoms--Tara in white bikini top, blue and white floral print bikini bottoms.
Hatcher visibly upset at the fawning treatment given upwardly mobile Reid--brunette made to feel like yesterday’s starlet in a Reid-dominated promotional tour--boxing insiders secretly wincing in advance of the slaughter expected as Teri vows to take out her resentment on young Tara. The result is a shocking upset as unheralded Reid shakes off the sacrificial lamb disguise and lays a pesky-punching, well-executed beating on her overconfident, older foe.
Tara in constant bouncing movement to her left, routinely beat Teri to punches, chopping at the brunette’s face with brisk overhand rights and rising lefts in combination, then falling off to the side as Hatcher came back invariably late with swishing receipts. Although hurt, the frustration on Teri’s livid face was evident and the combination of disrespect and impatience led to an increasingly erratic brunette attack., Reid continued to get off and get out, putting Teri down with steady fave punching to end the third with a sizeable lead.
Hatcher would tighten up and use her jab to climb back into the fight, but by the sixth she was making the same mistakes, letting Reid get off first and taking too many of the blonde’s tapping punches. By the seventh, Tara was getting her lithe body in behind stinging hooks and crosses, really labeling the brunette’s face and for the first time in the fight--the accumulation, the frustration, and the accuracy was beginning to wobble Teri’s butt. Hatcher would take a woozy knee at the end of the 7th--heartbroken at her inability to exert her will on this opponent.
In the end, Hatcher would finally get her slashing right cross on target in the final round, staggering Reid and leaving her helpless late, but the willowy blonde was able to hang on and survive a surprising UD10 over a pre-tourny favourite in Hatcher. A SCALDING loss for Teri, who looked old, stubborn, and shot on occasion in this fight.
6 rounds to 4 Reid, 2 knockdowns for Reid, Reid with a wide edge in power punching--although I’m interpreting as accumulation from clean combination punching rather than single shot power. 2 shutouts to 1 Hatcher.
