Sarah: This is a little bit of a miss match, the 23 year old Emily Browning touted as the best flyweight in Australia. Isla Fisher is edging 36 and although her AWUBA history is colourful she is up against it tonight. Isla I’ll start with you, any preservation tonight?

Isla: None whatsoever Sarah. I’m in career best form, beating Lara who we just saw last time in. Sure this will be a challenge but I’m up for it.

Sarah: An upbeat Isla Fisher there. And Emily, coming off that solid win over Layla Keyleigh last weekend in Cardiff, and unanimous decision loss to Vanessa Hudgens, have you had time to prepare for this?

Emily: Not really Sare but luckily I got through that without too many dramas so the body feels good and my minds in the right spot. I’m actually looking forward to fighting someone with a bit more experience tonight.

Sarah: Well both girls feeling good about it so let’s see what they can produce.

Round 1

Both pint sized girls showing great footwork, quick movement, Isla matching Emily for pace, works behind the jab followed by a HARD LEFT HOOK to the temple. Browning skipping away and turning her neck side to side to show that didn’t hurt. Fisher grinning, Browning back in there jabbing at Isla’s gloves, but fails to land as Isla sways and steps away. Browning tracking her and working the body with a quick combo, clipping the cheek with an uppercut which surprises Fisher. Final minute, Browning in low at Fishers torso, banging jabs into her six pack, fisher tries to cover up but exposes her face for a LEFT UPPERCUT out of the crouch! Fisher flailing to the ropes, bounces back, gloves palm out falling into SOLID LEFT JAB on the nose, followed by a SWIPING RIGHT HOOK to the cheek and DOWN GOES FISHER!! She’s quickly on hands and knees but she is sucking in the big ones and trying to shake it off. Up at 7 and ON COMES BROWNING, hard shot in the sternum and ANOTHER RIGHT UPPERCUT on the nose right at the bell.

Kristy: Gee she is good isn’t she Kylz. I mean she has taken a hard shot early that would put most girls on their backs. And here she is set up the openings with quick solid hands downstairs and that Nikki Visser power upstairs.

Kylie: Your dead right Hinzy, that’s exactly where it comes from Nikki was one of the best finishers of her time in the FCBA and she’s worked really hard with the girls at Downunder to create power punchers.

Kristy: Isla has taken it quite well and looks ok in the corner, she’s a bit red faced and she’s sucking hard from those body shots.

Kylie: That’s one way to beat down an old timer and that’s coming from an old timer. The old torso can’t take it quite as well anymore.

Round 2

Fisher may as well be standing in row two of the grandstand as she stays put, Browning closes as Fishers slips sideways late to avoid the oncoming barrage. Browning unorthodox, chasing the fleeing Fisher and often missing with the jab as Fisher leans away. Browning traps her at the ropes and connects with 3 or 4 good punches. Fisher leaning in the ropes, coming forward and two punching. Effective, but Browning is scoring more to the body, crunching her abs and wearing her down. HARD UPPERCUT to the Fisher chin has her spinning out of there. Browning still tracking her, popping her head backwards with the jab twice and then treating herself to more bare torso. Fisher helpless to a well-constructed round as Browning takes the second.

Kylie: All Browning that round Hinzy.

Kristy: I don’t think they were the right tactics from Fisher, you’ve gotta keep throwing punches at a girl like Browning, you can’t go a whole minute and offer nothing.

Kylie: I don’t think you can blame Isla for resting up after the punishment she took late in the first and maybe it will give her some more in the tank for later.

Round 3

Both girls meet mid ring and it’s on. Going at it toe to toe, Browning’s speed an issue for Fisher, put combinations together into her stomach, finish with clipping uppercuts. HUGE RIGHT HAND to the cheek has Fishers neck snapping sideways, left to the ribs, right to the ribs as Fisher stumbles backwards and tries to reset. Browning reaching from out wide with a SWOOPING LEFT HOOK that crashes into Fishers temple and the old girl is slammed into the corner. She sits in the corner, gloves glued to her temples, Browning battering her reddened mid-section. Almost two minutes of torso terror for Fisher as she sways left and right and takes the punishment on her six pack all the way to the bell.

Kristy: That completes three big scoring rounds for Browning and Fisher has her work cut out now.

Kylie: Great camera work as we watch Browning smacking her gloves into Isla’s stomach. She’ll be very sore after that.

Kristy: Yeah she is breathing hard in the corner Kylz. How much more of this can she take?

Round 4

Very even as Browning meets a much more determined Fisher this round. Browning gets the first minute with Fisher defending again. Just backing away, ducking punches and landing the odd jab. Browning slowing, perhaps shaken up by a stiff jab in the mouth. Fisher gets the second minute as Browning is on the back foot for the first time. Fisher banging her head back and forth as the Browning form comes apart a little. Fisher moving her around the ring now. Final minute is very even with Browning landing a nice little right cross on the button which has Fisher rethinking her tactics and she is back on the defensive. The bell ends a tight round.

Kylie: That was unexpected. Fisher perhaps showing a lot more grit than we gave her credit for. Those abs must be made of steel.

Kristy: I thought she was gone for all money Kylz but she has constructed that round really well, jabbing from the outside and she slowed Browning brilliantly.

Kylie: Let’s see what we get this round.

Round 5

More of the same from but this time Fisher lands an early body rib shot that has Browning rattled. She dancing away, Fisher stepping to, banging in one two’s, Browning backing off, Fisher banging in one two’s, catching Browning on the chin as her back hits the ropes and Fisher starts banging hard shots at her face. Browning in trouble but spins way and clocks Fisher with a left jab right on the nose. Right hook from Browning takes all glove but basically pushes Fisher into the ropes. Browning to the body again but Fisher is wise to it and she’s blocking punches low and high. She pushes Browning away and steps forward but takes another hard jab on the nose and Browning again starts banging jabs downstairs, great left and right cross to the chin, Fisher lands a jab of her own and there’s the bell.

Kristy: Another very even round there Kylz. Fisher starting to take the fight to Browning and the old body is holding up really well.

Kylie: This is a great comeback from Fisher, I don’t know that she is taking these rounds but she is back in the fight.

Round 6

This time both girls are into it. Fisher with a real spring in her step, firing quick jabs, one twos at Browning. She weaving and pinging stiff jabs straight back at Fisher who is slow to move and cops some hard shots in the face. The first minute is an exchange of blows with Browning just ahead, Fisher realizing show is losing the battle, on the retreat and back on the defensive through the middle. Browning not chasing her, as both girls take a rest. Final minute and Browning is back on the front foot, sweeping hooks at the guard of Fisher, who ducks and fires a good hard shot at the belly. Browning taking it and working the jab, followed by the hook, checking Fisher on the cheek. Another jab and hook and Fisher is almost on the run. Browning tracking her but the bell ends the round.

Kylie: Browning simply outscoring Fisher in those close exchanges. That’s another round to Browning Hinzy and it’s hard to give even one round to Fisher.

Kristy: True. She is in the fight though but not on the scorecard. It’s going to take something impressive from Isla from here. She’s been a bit one dimensional. Maybe try something different.

Kylie: What would that be:

Kristy: She’s looked good when she has taken the fight to Browning. The start of round 5 was brilliant, perhaps get in and work the body and try and get the odd surprise uppercut in there.

Round 7

Fisher springs to, catching Browning a BLISTERING RIGHT HOOK to the jaw and she looks like she might go down! Browning wide eyed and blinking, left arm stiff at her side, right fist shadow arm wrestle near her face, stumbling backwards to her corner. Fisher a right jab to the exposed chin, Browning bring that left hand up, clumsy guard as Fisher buries into her mid-section with tenacious uppercuts. Browning bending left and right, taking the punishment. Guard now tightening, moving up and down. Fisher banging down low again and placing a little uppercut through the guard then SMASHING A LEFT HOOK right on the jaw, Browning glassy eyed, mouth agape, only staying on sturdy legs, form has gone to pieces as Fisher continues the barrage on her torso but she is tiring. Fisher can’t finish! Browning soaking up the body blows, but fires a jab back at Fishers open face. Fisher’s head popped back and forth and then again by another jab to the open face, claret from her nose! Browning leans into a CLUBBING RIGHT HOOK that smacks into Fishers temple and DOWN GOES FISHER! Stiff as a plank as she twists in slow mo, eyes shut, and falls like tall timbers to the canvas. The ref starts the count but doesn’t get passed 3 and it’s over! KO7 Emily Browning!

Kylie: Far out Hinzy what a fight this has been. Browning controlling for most of it but nearly lost it all right there.

Kristy: I learnt a few of things during that round. The girl has chin and she has sturdy legs. She also has a hell of a knockout punch. Isla Fisher motionless on the canvas, she has dead set not moved. And Isla Fisher, perhaps, has no closing ability.

Kylie: Hard to say Kristy, but your right, Em Browning has a solid chin. Let’s go up to Sarah.

Sarah: Thanks girls. I’ve got Emily Browning with me but firstly, Isla Fisher is still motionless up here. Grave concerns from her corner. Em that was a vicious knock out.

Emily: Is she ok? The one thing I hate about this profession is when you do that to people you have the utmost respect for.

Sarah: She is sitting up now so she is ok. That was a huge punch, where does that come from?

Emily: All along we have spoken about the power punches from Downunder. Nikki Visser has worked hard on this with all of us so this is what we are all capable of.

Sarah: A little scare there from Isla that round, but you managed to pull through it?

Emily: The first hook stunned the hell out of me and my arm was just paralysed for a second. Then the second caught me but I was like “nah my legs are still there” and I could sense she was getting tired. She probably should have just kept attacking my head but she went for my body and that’s feeling good so with the opening there I just took and yeah..knocked her out.

Sarah: Brilliant. So there you go girls, I won’t get to chat with Isla but a massive round 7 knockout to Emily Browning.
