Before: Krakowski upstaging CZJ in raucous pre-fight conferences, taunting Jones during weigh in, etc. Jane trumpeting herself as a brunette nemesis, dragging Bell's name through the mud and predicting a similar fate for favoured Jones: "I exploit weakness," explains Jane, "Cat's a strong woman who's not as technically sharp as she thinks she is. Zeta-Jones is a technician who thinks she's a bully - they've both got blindsides that I can work with. Zeta-Jones wants to slap Bell in the face by beating me, but let me tell you - I'm taking this fight right to her, and they're both going to be calling me boss when I'm done!" Jones in red bikini, Jane in tight navy surfer's crop top, baby blue bikini bottoms. Krakowski grinning, getting into CZJ's face during staredown - no respect and Jones isn't amused.

During R1: Jane gambling early, pressing Jones with overhand rights, then shoving her in the chest to send a bewildered Zeta J awkwardly to the ropes. Jones barely recovered when Krakowski rings a hard right cross off the face, then squares away to go at that belly - pumping lefts and rights. Jones breaking down, face startled with pain - she palms up helplessly on Krakowski's shoulders as the blonde bangs away downstairs - Jones just gaping in shock. CZJ reaching in for a woozy clinch, but Krakowski bodies her into the ropes, stands her up, and the second half of the round is more measured, but no less punishing for Jones. Girls stand flat footed, hunching in close, each trying to time each other inside with clipped strokes - but it's all Krakowski. Jane smiling, cuffing and clouting Jones' paunch, swiping at both biceps, jerking in the little right uppercut, clubbing the hook up top - constant swatting pressure leaves Jones throbbing, shutout in the first - Krakowski bouncy back to her corner.

R2: Zeta J didn't like it inside - she's more alert off her stool now, looking to use the jab, but Krakowski has the answers. Jane blocking and countering to the belly - tough, thick punches, Jane really biting into the flesh and snapping her fists back on follow through - Jones giving ground with a groggy look as Jane forces brunette back to the ropes once again. Last half of the round similar to the first - girls standing in fighting hunches, trading cuffing licks to the head and body - Jane getting the better, cleaner touches, and pancaking those tits this round as well. Round ends as Krakowski squibs a tight hook between the eyes, staggering Jones at the bell.

R3: Jones fights down panic in her corner, rises, and deliberately sets up at the ropes - Krakowski bright eyed and eager to continue punching hungry. Jones sharper this round - gloves at her cheeks as she stoops forward from the ropes - she stubs the jab up the middle, bends in to shoulder rub Jane, bends back to clip the hook in - Krakowski now getting her first taste of Jones chopping power. Flat footed, toe to toe, all upperbody reflexes - girls reaching in to push on one another's arms, rolling their shoulders to deflect punches, licking back at available belly or face. Banging trade the best two way action of the fight thus far - Jones coming out on top when both girls are getting off.

R4: Jones sets up at the ropes once again, Krakowski coming in hard, girls get cheek to cheek and start to work. Jane projecting her weight onto Jones, reaching in on the inner elbows to press Jones to a seat in the ropes, but Catherine's controlling the exchanges, fitting her hook into Krakowski's belly, giving back much of what the blonde had dished earlier. Final minute, Cath with a series of very short lefts and rights, catching Jane about the head and shoulders - blonde takes her first backward steps of the fight. Zeta-J stepping forward behind the jab, banging back blonde head at the bell.

R5: Jones finally able to meet Jane midring - girls still flat footed, relaxed - timing is everything in this fight. Catherine hard eyed, chopping her jab, chopping her jab and DROPPING a short right hand over Jane's left to put the blonde wobbly butt. Krakowski hurt, covers up and takes a thumping left to her breadbasket that has ringsiders moaning. Zeta-J putting punches together now, fighting off Jane's left shoulder, turning the blonde and hacking away with those short, vicious strokes. Krakowski responds late, shouldering up close, then digging that body shot hook, but at the bell, Jones bangs in a 3 punch barrage of tight rights and lefts to the face, leaving Krakowski swooning at the break.

R6: Girls flat footed, wary mid ring, but Jones the clear aggressor now. Powerful, jolting jabs bash between Jane's mitts - blonde's not answering back as Zeta-J steps it up. Right hands chop off the stick, followed by abrupt, short left hands to the breadbasket - Krakowski getting stepped backwards - Zeta-J not quite bodied up but fighting at close range. At the ropes, Jones pushes her left into Jane's belly, just leaving the glove there to sit Krakowski into the strands, then TURNS on a pulverizing short right hand. Brutal headsnap - Krakowski slumping forward, face coming to rest on Jones right shoulder - Catherine holding her girl at the waist and elbows for a moment then stepping away to let Jane pool nerveless to the canvas. KO6 Catherine Zeta-Jones.

After: Badly bruised Catherine Zeta-Jones takes Jane K for a vindictive walk of shame - heart-stopping KO a testimony to the precision and placement of the brunette's short punches. "You guys are the ones comparing me with Cat Bell," Jones says of the media, coyly playing down her own aspirations in post-fight, "She doesn't really intrigue me as an opponent, but I have to laugh when she refers to herself as an 'elite' fighter. Elite fighters don't get dropped by ham and eggers - Elite fighters eat them for breakfast." Speaking of elite fighters - Ashley Judd in the audience, getting a good look at Bell, Hunt, Jones, Krakowski, Theron, Hu, Berry etc - good night to go scouting.
