Rumours swirling about this bout - how Crawford was reportedly livid when it was signed - Cindy puts it to rest in prefight. "Make no mistake," says Cindy, "I wanted this fight. I won't be accepted as a dominant champion until I give Loken a proper beating - and that's what this is all about. People who thought I'd take the title and escape like a pickpocket at the county fair are going to be shocked when I take the time to dismantle Kristanna." Loken supremely confident and why not? She wasn't expecting a Crawford rematch, has a glorious opportunity to regain her titles without missing a beat. "It's a mistake," chuckles Kris at the dais. Rd 1: Cindy announces herself with a delicious right hand clean over Loken's left, checking Kris' chin early and putting blonde wobbly butt. Stamping jabs to the face as Cindy rotates counterclockwise, stepping right to open up fresh angles for more right hands. Loken on her heels, extending arms to block - Crawford rifling rights down into ribcage, staying on her front foot to rip up gut with come-back hooks. Very energetic first from the older woman - gambling on sorting Loken out sooner rather than later: Cindy can't press the pace like this all night. Shutout Crawford.

Rd 2: Crawford still selling out to get Kristanna in trouble - Loken elbows in, dukes up, just turning, blocking, riding it out as Cindy unleashes. Crawford fighting like an 18 year old - gliding right, stepping in hard with the jab, doubling it, moving in and out, then bringing hesitation right hands to catch Loken looking. Crawford freezing Kris with the right cross, then stepping right, hooking muscular gut from the side as Kris doubles over - Cindy aiding her sidesteps with frequent palm shoves on Loken's shoulders or hips. Kris getting badly outworked, but hanging in there - she offers some right hands late, but Cindy's all over them. Crawford punching with, has the timing perfect - she's fading Loken's poke, then roaring back with rights on the button and LOKEN GOES DOWN! Kris blinking up from her backside all shook and woozy - Cindy GLARING, nostrils flaring - she's all about getting Loken out of there tonight.

Rd 3: Loken's warmed up - she joins the party this round. Kris using her legs, rotating clockwise to take Cindy's angle away - now it's the blonde dictating with her feet, negotiating brunette around. Loken winning the battle of jabs now, licking it long and strong to the face and chest of Crawford, forcing retreat on the brunette - Cindy scowling as she can't find her rhythm. Tactical third - Loken asserting herself, taking charge in there with sheer athleticism.

Rd 4: Cindy the more active girl, now stepping left, reaching her jab to the body, looking to loosen Loken up and hook her chin. Blonde hanging back, fading to sweep Cindy's jab off her belly with a defending right, bouncing prettily to the side - Kris just using the ring, biding her time. Midway through, Loken showing bantamweight handspeed as she folds up tight to block a Crawford right to the body with elbows, then countering quick with the right hand on the teeth. Cindy stomping back on her heels, put momentarily wobbly butt - she does a good job to box out the round, forfeiting points, but denying Loken the chance to pile on.

Rd 5: Oh that veteran Cindy! Girls closing behind peek-a-boo guards, dipping and bending towards one another - Crawford deliberately stomps Kristanna's lead foot to draw a cry of protest, then immediately cashes in with a tidy right hand on the eye, sprawling blonde ropeside. Cindy muscular up the middle, butting Loken in the teeth to get her head back, then robust to the gut, both arms pumping. Kris taking a moment to get herself together, then getting her shoulder low to nudge Cindy off and it's DONNYBROOK! Both girls getting thick to the body, Loken backing Cindy up with shivering pump-action right hands - Crawford sidestepping with a hand at the hip, staying close, just turning Kris to prevent her from building up steam. Crawford's early hard poke probably carries the round - but Loken the stronger down the stretch.

Rd 6: Cindy starting to breath hard, eyes a little misty, mouth open - she's shying away now, laying out the jab to disrupt rather than hurt - Kris starting to walk her girl down with a bully's stride. Cindy keeping her back off the ropes, using the ring - occasionally ducking in low to deposit thumping single right hands off Loken's belly - blonde folding to receive, walking through it - she's getting stronger and stronger as time goes by. Midway through, harried Cindy stepping in, shows the right to the body, fades back instead - Loken dropping her guard by reflex and still coming forward eats the PERFECT left hook! Cindy getting her 100% supermodel behind a short, slick, biting hook on the chin - all back and legs on the tidiest of shots and KRISTANNA SPRAWLS TO HER FACE! Cindy striding to the neutral corner, tanned thighs rippling - Loken awestruck, trying to push her chest up off the canvas, but IT'S NOT HAPPENING! Good Lord - KO6 for the winner and STILL middleweight queen - Cindy Crawford!

After: Second shattering upset of the evening - this time in favor of the incumbent - Crawford setting a murderous, unsustainable pace early and it pays off big time. "You've got to be bold with Kristanna," says Cindy in postfight, white towel across glistening shoulders. "You've got to fight that girl to win, and that's what I did. We didn't train to be facing those legs in the 10th round - I wanted her chin, and I did whatever I had to do to get it.
