Virginie takes to the pages of FRAPPE and LA BELLE BOXEUR to make scathing comments on newcomer Lea’s loss to the hated Spanish fighter Penelope Cruz. (We translate from the French):

“Seydoux should never have been allowed in the ring with a fighter like Cruz. She is too inexperienced and too crude a boxer. She gave French female celebrity boxing a bad name. She showed herself to be a disgrace. She needs to confine herself to fighting provincial TV personalities and similar riff-raff before she earns the right to another major fight,” are among Virginie’s choicer comments.

Lea responds: “That over-aged cow dares lecture me?! As if she hasn’t lost 3 out of 4 times to Cruz! I am young and strong and Virginie cannot tolerate that! She fears to fight me because she shows I would destroy her in the ring. She is a coward!”

A chance encounter at a LA BELLE BOXEUR photo session turns into a glorious catfight between Ledoyen and Seydoux as first insults and then claws start flying. Dresses are shredded leaving both women fighting in designer lingerie (sales of which shoot up once a video of the battle goes viral on YouTube). Ultimately, Ledoyen manages to get Seydoux bent over her knee for solid, rapid-fire spanks on the derriere as Lea howls and kicks her legs in futility and rage. Finally, several muscular guards are rushed into the studio to drag the shrieking vixens apart. Overnight Lea and Virginie become the hottest rivalry in the female celebrity boxing world!

To no one’s promoters soon arrange for Lea and Virginie to face off in Paris’ largest boxing arena. FCBA snaps up the rights to pipe the battle in for the next PPV when match catches fire with North American fans thanks to YouTube and later exposure as Virginie and Lea issue dire threats to the press about the fate of the other come fight night.

Virginie has donned her black leather bikini from earlier days. Lea wears a black vinyl bikini. The two French women glower at one another over this similar taste in attire. Small black gloves for both fighters promise plenty of punch damage. Sophie Marceau, former FCBA welterweight champion specially brought in to referee and “keep decorum appropriate to French boxing” (to quote promoters press release). Sophie herself says: “The ladies wish to settle things between them. Excellent. I will merely be there to prevent things from getting out of control.”

She does manage to keep seething beauties in line during the ring instructions, but can’t get them to touch gloves.

R1: Fight commences with fighters moving to midring and start slinging leather. Good, exciting stuff as the Virginie and Lea circle each other probing and countering with steady punching. Virginie making lightning jabs into Lea’s face snapping her head back and making her duck down behind her gloves. Virginie then drives uppercuts into the unprotected stomach of her foe. Lea grunting, glaring, and hitting back to Ledoyen’s sides. Punch counts soar as both French fighters make an early maximum effort. Bell rings, but Sophie Marceau has to jump between the fighters to stop the punching. Both fighters show red marks to the body and Lea has cheekbones starting to shine. Cards show Virginie edging out the newcomer in the initial stanza.

R2: Lea comes out more cautiously this round and Virginie happily goes on the all-out offensive. Lea finds herself backed up by steady Ledoyen attack which alternates from head to body and back, but newcomer always seems a punch behind the veteran and finally finds her butt up against the ropes. Virginie pours on the leather as Lea has to cover up with her face in gloves just getting raked to the ribs and torso. Not much counter action from Lea as Virginie wins the round in a clear shutout. Virginie feeling quite confident and gives the rookie a playfully swat on the derriere as they head for their corners. Lea turns with a shriek of rage and tries to throw herself on Virginie, but Sophie Marceau grabs the younger woman around the waist to hold her back while Virginie strolls away.

R3: Maybe Virginie shouldn’t have swatted Lea on the butt like that. Lea comes out with a murderous look in her eyes, but she is not out of control. On the contrary, as Virginie starts in again, Lea starts pounding Ledoyen waistline. Suddenly Virginie shudders and doubles forward--a look of agony on her face! Did Lea Seydoux get her with a low blow? Hard to say as it happened when they were in close and referee Sophie Marceau doesn’t appear to have seen anything untoward. Not much time to ponder it as the stricken Virginie is barely able to keep up her gloves as Lea Seydoux pours in the fire, blasting Ledoyen belly and breasts over and over. Gradually Lea gets in some overhand shots that rock Ledoyen’s jaw and Virginie’s strong legs seem all that are keeping her up. Virginie finally covers up but she takes a bad beating to the bell. It’s a badly damaged Virginie Ledoyen who goes reeling back to her corner as Lea Seydoux looks after her with grim satisfaction.

R4: VIRGINIE RALLIES! Ledoyen comes off her stool and catches the eager young rookie with that lightning jab to the face. Lea comes to a stunned halt and then gets her head knocked this way and that as Virginie sweeps in lefts and rights. It’s all Virginie in minute 1, but in minute 2, a hunched over Lea lashes back with uppercuts into the belly--AND LOWER! Virginie let’s out a moan of agony and clutches her crotch. Lea slow to follow up, possibly still shaken by Virginie’s first minute blows, but she when she does get her punching going she is relentless. Virginie kept on the defensive and Seydoux takes the round.

R5: VIRGINIE RALLIES AGAIN! Ledoyen lets Lea come in and meets the challenge, blunting Seydoux’s attacks with strong counterpunching. Lea hangs in there, but she takes a shot to the temple at the second minute that wobbles her knees. Virginie pumps in more shots driving the young fighter back into the ropes. Virginie fired up as she shoves Lea against the ropes leaving her wide open for pounding, digging uppercuts into Seydoux belly and breasts. Lea writhing under the bombardment, finally wraps her arms around her tormenter to clinch and force a break. Lea on the defensive for the rest of the round as Ledoyen racks up another shutout round.

R6: Virginie closes in again on Lea, but the younger fighter’s not about to quit. As they get in close, Lea starts hammering the Ledoyen waistband and VIRGINIE’S HURT! Virginie doubling up with pain, but once again referee Sophie Marceau hasn’t seen anything from Lea, who is already slamming shot up into Virginie’s face not giving her a moment’s respite. Virginie stumbling, trying to escape the onslaught, but Lea is like a terrier as she stays on her wounded prey heaving in shots. Virginie thrown back against the ropes, spreads her arms wide to brace herself and is wide open for straight shots to face, breasts and belly. Virginie’s knees give out and she crashes to the canvas, hugging her battered body as Sophie Marceau starts the count. Virginie manages to get back to her feet to beat the count, but once Sophie waves Lea back in, it becomes rapidly clear that Virginie Ledoyen is unable to defend herself. Horrible beating, perhaps the worst beating of her long career rages on and on for what seems like an eternity as Virginie’s body and head are savaged by the frenzied Lea Seydoux trying to get the older woman down. Fans at ringside are screaming for this to be stopped and FINALLY Sophie Marceau thrusts her body between Lea and Virginie allowing Ledoyen to collapse into the referee’s arms.

Lea Seydoux steps backs sweat pouring down her body, panting heavily, but a big smile of victory on her face as she wins in a devastating TKO6.

After: Lea pacing restlessly as Virginie is assisted to her stool and her corner people work over their defeated fighter. Finally, Virginie is ruled sufficiently recovered for Lea to swoop in and drag the veteran on a walk of shame. In truth, many fans seem to think Lea used dirty tactics to win and give vent to boos to express their displeasure. Lea defiantly leading the woozy Virginie in a circuit around the ring before shoving her rudely back onto her stool at the end.
“At last France has a champion who does not avoid fighting in France,” Lea Seydoux claims later to “LA BELLE BOXEUR”. “Low blows? I did no such thing! Virginie just couldn’t take my punching to her weak body and so she claimed I did not fight by rules. Bah! French boxing is well rid of her! She is the disgrace not me!”

Virginie Ledoyen tells “FRAPPE”--”Lea Seydoux has not seen the last of me! I promise my fans and I promise myself--she will pay for her fouls! She was clever about them, fooling Sophie Marceau, but I know where those punches landed and I will have my revenge. By the spirit of Edmund Dantes I will have my revenge!”

Fans of French boxing delighted by Virginie’s referencing Dumas’ classic “Count of Monte Cristo”, though some wits they hope it won’t take 20 years for her to accomplish her revenge!

Meanwhile, Lea Seydoux looks to new opponents and new victories.
