After an exchange of harsh word earlier in the month, this fight has been rather inevitable, and takes place in New York.

Beth is the vastly more experienced fighter, although interestingly the girls were born just 6 days apart back in 1979. She also has a better technique than Freema, and is around four inches taller. Freema’s main strength is just that – her strength!

Into the ring bounces Freema, looking good tonight in a red one piece outfit, nothing too revealing, with Beth in a black bikini. The girls look ready to kick off before the first bell has been rung, and they’re both straining to get stuck in.

Round 1

Beth starts the fight well, ignoring Freema’s head –first, rushing start to her campaign, she simply keeps the Brit at arm’s length for the first half of the round, just jabbing the girl’s face at will, snapping her head back, and keeping on her toes. Freema’s not enjoying this too much – not looking hurt, but not able to land any of her own punches really, and the second part of the round is no better for her as Beth just controls the fight, making Freema do all the heavy legwork while she just bats her to the face remorselessly, totally outclassing the Brit for best part of the whole 3 minutes.

Round 2

As expected, Beth sees no need to change tack, and she just seems to marshall and guide Freema around the ring in the opening stages. Freema’s beginning to get a little success, though, shrugging off the peppering of her face to get inside Beth’s rangy jab, and clip Beth around the ribcage with some clubbing punches, and she pushes the pretty American backwards, tries to rip her to the body, but Beth turns her so easily it’s embarrassing, and she pings those jobs Freema’s way, the Brit’s head bopping back and forth as the punches land, a smear of blood around her nostrils, but still a look of steely determination in her eyes.

Round 3

Beth's having no trouble punching Freema’s face, so she ups the tempo a bit, and now she’s really going to town on the little Brit – she just can’t miss the girl’s unprotected face as she still wades towards Beth trying to throw bombs Midway through the round, Freema begins to wilt under the barrage, and she staggers slightly as she goes backwards and into the ropes, and maybe Beth can finish the girl off right now, stepping in closer, she bangs Freema as hard as she can to the jaw with a left, and a right, but she’s in Freema’s range too now, and the Brit fights her way off the ropes, Beth’s arms flailing aimlessly as the shorter girl slams two, three, four punches into her waiting face, smacks her to the ear with a right hook, then, as Beth’s gloves flip to the side of her face, Freema unleashed a left uppercut which sends Beth to the canvas, absolutely flat on her back, and there’s no count necessary – she’s gone!

Freema Agyeman knocked Beth Harnois out in round 3.

Beth gave Freema a total boxing lesson for two and a half rounds, then forgot her own tactics and for reasons she’ll struggle to find, decided to slug it out with a more powerful puncher!

Freema looks battered, but happy, and she’ll be hoping to get a place on the February PPV out of this
