Team Canada's Karen Cliche struggled to accept the fact Alana Huffman stripped her off the primary lightweight position within the stable, but she bounces back in the welterweight division and tries to make a mark on her own after Huffman's unbeaten record was finally broken by Malika Menard. Cliche looks poised to add further insult to injury after Huffman's second consecutive loss to Sayuki Matsumoto earlier during the card.

Her rival is the lower-ranked Elize Du Toit who couldn't last a single round against Suranne Jones back in October before a stunning win over newcomer Angela Griffin just few days ago. The problem is, Cliche is anything but a newcomer and the odds are heavily against the South African tonight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Cliche wastes little time and moves on the blonde, peppering her to the stomach with an early charge. Elize was slow to react and takes the brunette's leather on the tummy before trying to respond with some hooks to the head. Cliche dances around those efforts and counters from the side, landing more blows to the midsection and chest. Elize throws single hooks is response, but is unable to hurt the Canadian who in turn throws a big hook to the head around the blonde's gloves. It lands straight on the mouth and pushes du Toit back to the ropes. Karen jumps on her and unloads a heavy combination to the stomach; Elize covers up but cringes in pain as Cliche keeps pummelling her without any pause. Several low hooks keep the blonde backed against the ropes and her efforts to clinch the Canadian are unsuccessful. Karen continues to pound the hapless looking Elize until the bell and dominates the opening round.

Round 2:
Karen quickly off her stool, jabbing viciously to the midsection. Elize tries to respond with some hooks to the head but only grazes the brunette's gloves. Big left hook from Cliche breaks her guard out of nowhere and Karen pours in with a couple of more jabs to the mouth. Elize rocked by those quick shots, jumps to the ropes but gets nailed in the stomach with a follow-up before another hook snaps her head to the side. Du Toit moans loudly which only triggers more aggression from Karen, she catches the aching blonde in the stomach a couple of times and lands a vicious uppercut to the jaw! Down goes du Toit, landing on her backside as Karen jumps away and begins to celebrate! Too soon though! Elize bravely gets up at six and allthough she looks in some discomfort, she's ready to continue! Cliche visibly upset, squares up to her, lands a series of jabs to the chest and keeps her pinned in the corner. Elize covers up, tries to survive until the bell, but gets nailed in the nose as Karen breaks through her guard with ease. Blonde just slumps on the ropes and is unable to withstand the arressive onslaught. It's more like a training bout for the Canadian who lands several unanswered shots all over the South African's body. At the bell Elize can barely walk back to the stool and looks over and done with.

Round 3:
Elize breaths heavily during the interval, her face turned into a swollen pulp under the brunette's barrage, but she gets up and forces Cliche for one more round. Karen lands her first stiff jab straight on the blonde's mouth and follows up with a nasty combination to the ribs. Elize moans in pain and gets thrown onto the ropes with another crushing jab to the mouth. She covers up, but remains rooted to the spot and Karen launches a nasty combination from each side, nailing the poor blonde to the ribs and face. There's another loud moan from Elize as Karen caught her straight in the nose and drew blood in the proccess. Du Toit slumps back on the ropes and allows Karen to clinically pound her to the ribs before another uppercut to the jaw almost knocks her out of her senses for good. She gets tangled up in the ropes but ref finally jumps in and stops this beatdown before Karen sends her to the hospital! Elize slides down on her backside and collapses alltogether soon afterwards as the brunette waves her gloves in delight. TKO R3 Karen Cliche!!!

Post-fight:
Elize struggles to get up on her feet, her nose being a complete mess after Karen mercilessly worked it over. As the verdict is announced, she keeps a tampon against it and looks completely devastated. Meanwhile Cliche sports a big smile on her face. Allthough she hasn't set a new record for the quickest KO victory, her triumph over du Toit was never in question and she made sure the blonde suffered enough damage to leave no doubts over the final outcome.

Karen gives Elize a consolation hug before they leave the ring, but has her eyes firmly set on Alaina Huffman who briefly appeared back from the locker room. Huffman catches Cliche's eyes for a brief moment and they stare at each other with some envy before Alaina turns away and heads back for the exit. Karen's smile just got a tad bigger after that. One could think their personal rivalry is far from being over.
