The second title bout comes next and it's the reigning bantamweight champion Jessica Schwarz (Lioness Club) making her first defence against Emily Scott (Wildetime Boxing). Schwarz has not fought since her epic duell against former titleholder Alesha Dixon, which was widely regarded as the most vicious encounter even seen in BBU's history but she's finally ready for a new challenger, the impressive blonde from Australia who demolished Nicky Whelan inside two rounds during the inaugural

ACB PPV last month.

The ACB fighters won all their four fights during this event and Scott looks keen to continue that streak with the FCBA star Poppy Montgomery still awaiting her chance in the next title bout. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Challenger jumps straight up to the champ and laces her in the jugs with a crisp hook, but Jessica counters with a low jab to the stomach and forces the blonde to back away. Another hook grazes the Aussie's nose and the champ leaps forward, trying to stamp an early authority but Emily blocks off a jabbing attempt and clinches in the center of the ring. Jessica steps away and avoids a lacing hook from the right before responding with a low jab herself. Emily also jumps back and both girls duck and weave for most of the round, throwing single punches and still trying themselves out; without any great effect.

Round 2:
Emily on the early move again, lands a solid combination to the stomach in close-range as Jessica let her within striking distance. The champ's counter misses the blonde's head and Emily scores a good series of jabs to the guts, forcing the champ away to the ropes. She misses an uppercut to the jaw though and Schwarz clinches her easily as the ref steps in to break. More aggressive jabbing from Scott, she's not waiting for the brunette to make an impact and carries on with her own plan. Jessica's single punching does her little favors, only grazing the blonde's arms and leather. Another wild hook from Scott catches Jessica's guard though and the round concludes with both women faking some punches in mid-distance.

Round 3:
Jessica finally springs into an offensive mood, jabbing straight from the bell and catching her rival in the stomach and a left hook found it's way to the cheek as well. Scott's hardly impressed though, lashes out with a wild hook from the left and grazes the brunette in the ear as both women crash against each other and the crowd feels like the atmosphere inside the ring has gone up a notch. Exuberrant punches from Emily, but she nails the champ in the jugs before grazing her chin with a sharp hook from the left. Schwarz's head snaps backwards, but she pours in with a straight jab to the mouth and it lands clean, blonde hair fly through the air as Emily covers up. Solid jabbing from Schwarz follow, but she only peppers the leather as the Aussie stands firm. Jessica tries to back her rival along the ropes, but Scott's strenght is not to be disputed and she clinches with her, taming those efforts right until the bell.

Round 4:
Schwarz jumps from her stool and rips a big left hook to the face and Emily gets caught in the brow ridge, wincing in pain. Jessica follows up with another solid hook from the right, but the challenger ducks low, avoiding trouble and clinches wrapping her arms around the German's waist and pushing her towards the ropes. Ref steps in and gives Scott a warning, but Schwarz quickly turns her attention elsewhere as she lands a big hook to the mouth and Emily covers up, leaning along the ropes and taking punishment. Furious charge from the champion, lacing the challenger in the stomach and ribs, but Scott shows little signs of going down under the barrage and Jessica drops the intensity, landing single punches instead. Working the midsection is not a way to knock the blonde out so early in the bout and Scott manages to clinch as Schwarz used some energy during that attack and is happy to bide some time in a stalemate as well.

Round 5:
Coach Gina Wild offers some advice to Schwarz during the interval and the German takes notice, landing another early hook to the eye as Emily was slow the raise her guard in time. Jessica quickly closes the distance and rips low jabs to the ribs, but then gets rocked with a massive right hook to the chin, almost a hail Mary effort from the blonde who was starting to get pummelled in the last few minutes. Jaw tester for Schwarz and she bends down for a moment but Scott's follow up only grazes her in the head as the Aussie looked to have jumped the gun with that counter, almost as much surprised by that hook to jaw as Jessica was and unable to take full advantage. Schwarz clinches by the waist and now she gets a warning for passive display. Emily sends a jabbing combiantion to the breasts and Jessica jumps away to circle around the ropes, obviously still feeling her jaw and the blonde tries to leap up to her sending a couple of hooks to the head, but Schwarz sidesteps out of reach and Emily's happy with what she got earlier and waits for the bell.

Round 6:
At half-distance the challenger is holding it's own and causes more trouble early in the sixth by lacing the champion in the guts a couple of times as Schwarz's response misses the blonde's head who jumped away to safety in time. Jessica looks genuinely upset as Emily drops her arms and weaves in front of her., Couple of jabs miss the head and Scott bursts out laughing igniting further disdain from the German. Both women circle around each other, looking for an opportunity as Emily fakes few low punches and Jessica misses another big hook to the head. Left, right and back to the left, Scott looks as fresh as she was at the start and whacks a left jab to the face that the champion was barely ready to cover. Blonde leaps with a follow up though and a right-left combination sends the brunette to the ropes where she can only cover up and absorb more nasty jabbing from the challenger. She manages to clinch though after a lenghty struggle, but Scott looks impressive, pinning the champ along the ropes and dishing out punishment for most of this round. Is there an upset on the cards here?

Round 7:
Angry screams from coach Wild as Schwarz looked very poor in the previous round and she answers the bell with an aggressive approach, Scott took this for granted and stayed along the ropes where she dekes to the side avoiding a couple of early hooks from the champ. There's more to follow and Schwarz is jumping all over the ring, hassling the blonde around but only laces her with a few single jabs, causing little damage. Scott has no time to unleash a strong response, just tries to tame those efforts from the German, hoping she'd wear out and become an easy pray later in the fight. Schwarz peppers her from mid-distance and after ducking away from couple of hooks to the head, Emily finally gets caught out, loses her footing a bit and trips herself to the ropes where Jessica scores an easy double hooking combo to the face. Emily moans in pain and a gut wrencher from Schwarz keeps her trapped along the ropes. She covers up, but the brunete nails her in the ribs with a furious barrage inside the final seconds and the blonde sinks on her knees, but remains upright at the bell with Schwarz having to be dragged away by the ref as she appears to have missed the bell.

Round 8:
No question about both girls' physical preparation as they keep firing on full cylinders late in this bout. Scott tries to swing the momentum back in her favor but Schwarz looks like a woman possessed now, jabbing to the chest and tummy, dancing around the challenger and peppering her from both flanks. Emily's footwork has dropped it's lightness and agility from the early stages, perhaps the one sign that she's feeling the effects of this bout. However she responds with a jabbing sequence to the stomach and follows up with an uppercut that grazes the brunette's chin, but nowhere close enough as the one from the fifth round. They lock in a clinch but still lace themselves in the ribs as Schwarz seems to land hers just little more to the back and causes her rival to moan in protests. Ref tries to separate them, but Emily doesn't let go of the clinch, biding her time to the limits. She finally gets pushed away and Jessica pours in with a solid hook to the mouth that breaks the guard and lands clean. Emily bends down and winces even louder as she tries to clinch again. Brunette laces her in the head but as the Aussie was leaning down it catches her in the back of the head and that forces the ref to step in and give yet another warning to the champion who is furious. Lucky escape for Scott who survives until the bell as the clock expires immediately after the command.

Round 9:
Things suddenly go sour for Scott who lost a lot of energy in the previous round, her face now swollen and purple red, but Schwarz breaths heavily in the opposite corner and looks unable to finish her off inside the distance. Emily circles around the ropes early on, but Jessica responds with single jabbing, happy just to prevent her from closing in and threatening her. Surely the Lioness Club corner can't take this one for granted if it goes to the scorecards already? Scott fakes some punches, but barely scratches the champion who leaps forward and unloads another big hook to the head, but Emily jumps to the ropes and avoids this one as well as another hook coming her way, allthough she nearly stumbled over trying to leap to the side. Jessica looks to be worn out too much to chase her around the ring anymore and indeed she just walks after her rather then jump back and forth. Emily covered behind her gloves tries to close in but now it's champ ducking back and late in the round the Aussie can only throw some weak punches to that crash off the leather as Schwarz scores the final one, nailing the blonde in the ribs with a right hook right at the bell.

Round 10:
Does anyone need to push for a final round KO to secure the win? Schwarz looks calm and collected in her stool and sure enough, Scott looks more concerned in hers and she jumps from the stool, closing the distance quickly but a couple of hooks to the head are blocked off and Jessica responds with another low combination to the ribs before lacing the blonde in the jugs too. Emily scoffs in anger and tries to move on the champ, but misses a couple of hooks and nearly stumbles over as Jessica sidesteps away and begins to circle around her. It's a bit of sluggish finish for the challenger who's desperate for one last impressive series of shots, but Jessica keeps her at distance and then drops her arms alltogether teasing her into a late lunge. Emily leaps up to her lands a hook to the ribs and goes for the jawbreaker but then gets whomped with a right hook to the cheek and falls backwards on the ropes. Massive belter from the champion right at the death has Scott on the ropes, but she just won't go down tonight!!! Schwarz whacks her hapless body several times as Scott covers up with the last resort of consciousness and it's all for nothing from the brunette, she won't knock her out no matter what. Frustrated Jessica clinches her and tries to land more jabs to the midsection but the blonde leans on her and at the final bell both girls are locked in a clinch at the end of a gruelling and exhausting affair. Jessica belives she's won it on points while Emily walks around the ring, trying to understand whether she's dong enough to keep the unbeaten Australian streak alive and snatch the first BBU title for her country.

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards.. and we have a spilt decision!!! Judges score the bout 98-97 for Jessica Schwarz, 99-97 for Emily Scott and 98-97 for your winner.... and STILL the BBU bantamweight champion JESSICA SCHWARZ!!!!

Post-fight:
With no sign of a smile, Jessica nods her head in approval as the referee raises her arm after the verdict. She's taken it as a routine experience, but it's the first time she's been unable to knock her opponent out in a winning fight having been a victim of another split decision to Alesha Dixon back in October among her two defeats to date. Coach Gina Wild lifts the BBU bantamweight belt above her head, after climbing the ropes herself and the crowd chants loudly after witnessing a truly wonderful fight.

Meanwhile Emily Scott ignores looking the brunette in the eye as they shake hands, but she's got every reason to be proud of herself. Coming all the way from Australia to challenge for the biggest title in European boxing was a tremendous task and she almost pulled out a major surprise, troubling the reigning champion for most of the bout and missing the ultimate glory by the smallest of margins. BBU executives should keep an eye on her as she can cause a lot more trouble in the near future and perhaps return to fight for the bantamweight title again as well.
